Frequently Asked Questions - SC-MC410S24 Scarlett

How do I set a custom cooking time and temperature?
Select the DIY program by pressing the MENU button until 'DIY' is highlighted. Then press the Temperature button and use +/- to set temperature (40-150°C in 10°C steps). Default is 100°C. Time can be adjusted from 10 to 600 minutes in 5-minute steps using +/-. The program starts automatically after a few seconds.
How do I use the delayed start function?
First, select your cooking program and adjust settings if desired. Then press the Delayed start button and set the desired delay time (from 10 minutes to 24 hours in 1-minute steps). The multicooker will begin cooking after the set delay.
Can I use the keep warm function manually?
Yes, to manually activate keep warm, press and hold the Keep warm/Cancel button until you hear a sound. The temperature will be maintained at 70-75°C for up to 24 hours. The automatic keep warm starts after many programs, except Fry, Yoghurt, and Bread.
How do I clean the steam valve?
Remove the steam valve from the lid, then detach the silicone attachment. Rinse both parts with water, wipe dry, and reassemble. It is recommended to clean the valve after each use to prevent clogging.
What should I do if the display shows a failure code?
Turn off the multicooker and unplug it from the power source. Allow it to cool down completely. Then plug it back in and turn it on. If the error code reappears, contact a service center for assistance.
Can I cook with the lid open?
No, the multicooker is designed to cook with the lid closed. Opening the lid during cooking may affect cooking results and cause steam burns. If foam rises, you can briefly open the lid to remove foam, but avoid prolonged opening.
How much food can I put in the pot?
Do not exceed the MAX level marked inside the pot. Overfilling may cause boiling over. Some foods like pasta and dumplings produce foam, so fill below MAX to prevent overflow.
Is the inner pot dishwasher safe?
Yes, the removable pot and the steamer can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Use a non-abrasive detergent. The outer body and control panel should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
What is the purpose of the condensed water container?
During cooking, steam condenses on the lid and collects in a special vent around the bowl. A detachable container collects this water. Empty and clean it after each use to maintain hygiene.
Can I use metal utensils in the pot?
No, avoid using metal utensils as they may scratch the non-stick coating. Use wooden or silicone utensils. The manufacturer warns that the inner coating may initially wear off, so handle with care.
