Frequently Asked Questions - Vaac OC1200P Eldom

How do I assemble the vacuum cleaner?
First, remove the transport protectors (A and B). Install the cyclone filter (14b) and inlet filter (14a) inside the dust container (15), then close with the lid (13) by turning clockwise. Attach the container to the body and lock it. Insert the hose into the socket and turn anticlockwise until it clicks. Connect the hose to the telescopic tube and attach the desired nozzle.
How do I empty the dust container?
Turn off the vacuum and unplug it. Detach the hose from the socket. Press the lock button (8) and remove the container from the body. Open the bottom of the container over a bin to discard the dust. Close the bottom, then remove the lid (13) and clean the filters if needed. Reassemble and reattach the container.
How do I clean the filters?
The inlet filter (14a) can be tapped clean over a bin. The cyclone filter (14b) can be rinsed with water; make sure it is completely dry before reinstalling. The exhaust filter (11a) is accessed via the filter cover (11); replace periodically as needed.
What should I NOT vacuum?
Do not vacuum hot ash, cigarette butts, matches, sharp objects (glass), plaster, cement, stone dust, flour, debris, water or other liquids. Also avoid vacuuming wet carpets or using the vacuum without filters and the container.
How do I adjust the suction power?
Use the airflow controller (3) on the hand grip to reduce suction when cleaning delicate fabrics, upholstery or rugs. This prevents damage and improves efficiency.
How do I use the cord rewind?
After unplugging, hold the plug and press the cord coil button (9). The cord will retract automatically. Do not pull the cord beyond the yellow marker; never pull to the red marker to avoid damage.
What does the dual-function nozzle do?
The dual-function nozzle (16) has a brush that can be flipped up or down. Use it for hard-to-reach corners, gaps, and for dusting furniture, books, etc. The brush helps remove dust without scratching surfaces.
How do I store the vacuum cleaner?
The vacuum can be stored vertically or horizontally. There is a parking catch on the back of the appliance to hold the tube, and a corresponding catch on the brush (1) for compact storage.
What if the suction suddenly drops?
Check if the dust container is full (dust reaches MAX line) – empty it. Also check if the filters are clogged; clean or replace them. Ensure the hose and nozzle are not blocked.
Is the vacuum suitable for pet hair?
Yes, the cyclone filtration and powerful 1000W motor can handle pet hair on carpets and upholstery. However, avoid vacuuming large clumps of hair that might clog the tube. Empty the container regularly.
