How to install the switch on a desk?

Place the switch on a flat, sturdy surface. Remove the protective coverings from the rubber feet provided, turn the device over, and attach the feet to the four corners.Ensure the surface can support the weight of the switch and cables.

How to install the switch in a rack?

Check the grounding and stability of the rack. Attach the mounting brackets to each side of the switch using the screws provided, then use suitable bolts (not included) to secure it to the rack.

What cables to use to connect devices?

Use RJ45 Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher) to connect your computers, routers, or other network devices to the switch's 48 ports.

How to power on the switch?

Plug the provided power cord into the switch's power connector, then connect the other end to an electrical outlet. There is no power switch; unplug the cord to disconnect power.

Does the switch get hot? Is this normal?

Slight warming is normal. The metal housing dissipates heat. If the temperature is excessive, check the ventilation around the device and ensure it is not obstructed.

What to do if a port does not work?

Check that the cable is firmly inserted and the connected device is powered on. Test with another cable or another port. If the problem persists, restart the switch by disconnecting and reconnecting power.

Can I use the switch with a router?

Yes, connect an Ethernet cable from a LAN port on the router to any of the switch's 48 ports. The switch will extend your local network.

How to clean the switch?

Unplug the device, then use a soft dry cloth to wipe the surface. Never use liquids, aerosols, or abrasive cleaners.

What does the TP-Link warranty cover?

To install the device on the desktop, please follow the steps below:

1. Set the device on a flat surface strong enough to support the entire weight of the device with all fittings.
2. Remove the adhesive backing papers from the rubber feet.
3. Turnover the device and attach the supplied rubber feet to the recessed areas on the bottom at each corner of the device.

- Rack Installation

To install the device in a rack, follow the instructions described below:

1. Check the grounding and stability of the rack.
2. Secure the supplied rack-mounting brackets to each side of the device with supplied screws.

1. After the brackets are attached to the device, use suitable screws (not provided) to secure the brackets to the rack.
