Frequently Asked Questions - VP 4102 S ECG

How to replace the dust bag of the ECG VP 4102 S vacuum cleaner?
Press the front lock to open the cover, remove the support with the full bag, take out the used bag and install a new one. Close the cover. Preferably use a Swirl® Y 50® MicroPor® Plus bag or a compatible ECG bag.
How to clean the vacuum cleaner filters?
Unplug the appliance. For the motor filter (located behind the front cover), remove it and wash it with warm water, dry it thoroughly before putting it back. For the exhaust filter, remove the cover, wash the filter with warm water and dry it. Replace filters if damaged.
Why is suction power decreasing?
This may be due to a full dust bag, a clogged hose or tube, or dirty filters. Check the bag, remove any blockages in the hose, and clean or replace the filters.
Can I vacuum liquids with this vacuum cleaner?
No, never vacuum water or liquids. The vacuum cleaner is designed only for dry use. Vacuuming liquids can damage the appliance and cause risk of electric shock.
How to use the combined floor nozzle?
The floor nozzle can be tilted according to the floor type: for carpets and rugs, use the 'brush' position; for hard floors, tilt to the 'smooth' position. You can also use the crevice nozzle for corners and the upholstery nozzle for furniture.
The vacuum cleaner does not start, what should I do?
Check that the power cord is properly plugged in and the socket is powered. If the appliance still does not work, contact an authorized service. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
When should I replace the HEPA 13 filter?
Clean the HEPA filter regularly; if it is damaged or very dirty, replace it with a new one. In normal household use, change it at least once a year or according to the recommendations in the manual.
Where can I buy replacement bags and filters for the VP 4102 S?
You can use the references KOMA ECG VP 4102 S for filters and compatible Swirl® Y 50® MicroPor® Plus bags. Ask your dealer or check online.
What does the red indicator on the vacuum cleaner mean?
The red indicator signals that the dust bag is full or the suction paths are blocked. Replace the bag or check the hose and tube. If the indicator remains red after cleaning, contact an authorized service.
How to use the cord rewind button?
To rewind the cord, press the rewind button on the appliance. Never pull the cord beyond the red mark; the yellow mark indicates the maximum recommended unwinding length.
