2.1 CH TV Soundbase with Bluetooth/FM/USB
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Caution:
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not dismantle the product and do not expose the apparatus to rain or moisture. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
Explanation of Graphical Symbols:

To achieve the utmost in enjoyment and performance, and in order to become familiar with its features, please read this manual carefully before attempting to operate this product. This will assure you years of trouble free performance and listening pleasure.

Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power adaptor is properly connected.
For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel.
Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Power sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.

Grounding or polarization - the product is not required to be grounded. Ensure that the plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet or extension cord receptacle to prevent blade or pin exposure. Some versions of the product are equipped with a power cord fitted with a polarized alternating line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit onto the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. When using an extension power-supply cord or a power-supply cord other than that supplied with the appliance, it should be fitted with the appropriate molded plugs and carry safety approval appropriate to the country of use.

Power cord protection - Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on, kinked or pinched by items placed on or against them, paying particular attention to cords from plugs, receptacles and the point where they exit from the product.

Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or multiple sockets, as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.

Ventilation - The product must be properly ventilated. Do not place the product on a bed, sofa, or other similar surface. Do not cover the product with any items such as tablecloths, newspapers, etc.

Heat - The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products, including amplifiers that produce heat. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
- Water and moisture - To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to train, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar).
- Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product.
- Cleaning - Unplug the product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Dust in the woofer may be cleaned with a dry cloth. If you wish to use an aerosol cleaning spray, do not spray directly on the cabinet; spray onto the cloth. Be careful not to damage the drive units.
- Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer, as they may cause hazards.
- Accessories - Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer's instructions and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
- Moving the product - A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.
- Unused periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet during lightning storms or when the apparatus is left unused for a long period of time.
- Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
- Please remove the power plug form the main power source or wall power source when not in use. When plugged in to a power source, the system is in standby mode, so the power is not entirely cut off.
- Replacement parts - When replacement parts are required, ensure that the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part.
Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.

Mains fuses - For continued protection against fire hazard, use fuses only of the correct type and rating. The correct fuse specification for each voltage range is marked on the product.

Do not turn up the volume while listening to a section with very low level inputs or no audio signals. If you do, the speaker may be damaged when a peak level section is suddenly played.

The only means of completely disconnecting the product from the power supply is by removing the power cord from the wall outlet or the product. The wall outlet or the power cord entry to the product must remain freely accessible at all times while the product is in use.

Try to install the product near a wall socket or extension cord and shall be easily accessible.

The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35^ C.

ESD hints - The normal function of the product may be disturbed by strong Electro-Magnetic Interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the instruction manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in other location.
28. Battery
1). The batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
2). The batteries should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
3). Battery usage CAUTION-to prevent battery leakage which may result in body injuries, property damage, or damage to the apparatus:
- Install all batteries correctly, + and - as marked on the apparatus.
- Do not mix batteries (old and new or carbon and alkaline, etc.)
- Remove batteries when the unit is not used for a long time.
ERP2 - (Energy Related Products) note
This product with ECO design complies with the stage 2 requirement of Commission Regulation (EC) NO. 1275/2008 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC regard to standby and off mode electric power consumption of electronic household and office equipment. After 60 minutes without any audio input, the device will automatically switch into standby mode.
Important note:
Please note that low volume setting in the audio source maybe recognized as "no audio signal". This will affect the capability of signal detection from the device and can also originate an automatic switch into standby mode. If this
happens please reactivate the audio signal transmission or increase the volume setting on the audio source player (mp3 player etc.), in order to resume playback, please contact the local service center if the problem remains.

- If the system is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense on the lens inside the player. If this occurs, the system will not operate properly. Please leave the system turned on for about an hour until the moisture evaporates.
- Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.
- When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull on the cord.
- The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device must remain readily operable.

Switch the unit between ON and standby mode

Press to switch the play source between Bluetooth/FM/USB/Optical/Coaxial/AUX(R/L)/Line in.
On display:
" bT" = Bluetooth. "USB" = USB playback mode. "frequency" = FM radio mode.
"OPTI" = optical input mode. "COAX" = Coaxial input mode. "AUX" = AUX IN (Right and left channel, RCA input mode).
"LINE" = LINE IN input mode (MP3 Link mode).

Battery installation for remote control
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two "AAA" size (R03 or UM-4) dry batteries. Make sure that the batteries are inserted according to the relative polarity (+/-) symbol inside of the battery compartment.
- Close the battery cover.

Precautions Concerning Batteries
- Be sure to insert the batteries with correct positive "+" and negative "-" polarities.
- Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
- Either rechargeable or non-rechargeable batteries can be used. Refer to the precautions on their labels.
- If the remote control is not to be used for a long time (more than a month), remove the batteries to prevent from leaking.
- If the batteries leak, wipe away the leakage inside the battery compartment with a paper towel and replace the batteries with new ones.
- Do not use any batteries other than those specified. Do not mix new batteries with old ones.
- Do not heat or disassemble batteries. Never throw them in fire or water.
- Do not carry or store batteries with other metallic objects. Doing so could cause batteries to short circuit, leak or explode.
- Never recharge a battery unless it is confirmed to be a rechargeable type.
Remote control working range:
The remote control sensor was built up in the front of display. The best
working distance is within 6 meters with 60 degree operation angle showed as below:

Program smart remote control to control TV( learning operation):
This remote control includes several learning function keys for TV. This feature allows you to use one remote control for TV and for Soundbase operation. Please refer to below steps for learning operation.
a. Press and hold the 📄 and 📞 key 3 seconds at same time to enter the learning function mode. In this mode, the red LED indicator will light on eternally.
b. Place the remote control aim to the TV's remote control sensor within 50mm distance as below drawing. Please kindly note that both remote control's sensors shall aim together within 50mm distance in order to get reception.

c. Press one learning function key which you desire to learn the TV's function. Meanwhile, the red LED indicator will start to flash slowly if your operation is successful. d. Press one relative functional key on TV's remote control which you desire to be learned. The red LED indicators will quick flare 3 times if the function was
learned successfully.(For example, if you want to learn the TV power on/off function in the sound board's remote control, you need to press one learning key from the soundbase's remote control first, and then press the power on/off key from TV's remote control).
e. Repeat steps c and d for other learning operation functions.
f. Press any other key which is not included in the learnable keys area. The remote control will exit from the learning mode, and the red LED indicator will turn off. Then you can use the remote control for TV and for soundbase's operation.
Learning functions DIY (Do it yourself):
a. The functional printing for the learnable button is only for your reference. These learnable keys are open to learn all functions of TV. For example, you can use numerical buttons to learn CH up/down function of TV etc.
b. There are provided 4 additional keys which can be used for learning TV functions like CH +/-, UP/DOWN, ENTER etc. You can learn and define freely the functional control keys according to your TV's operation.
c. If one of the learning functions is not working properly, please repeat steps a to f.
Audio connection and setting
Before power on the unit, please kindly connect the unit first. The sounbase has included digital (optical& coaxial) and analogue (AUX IN and LINE IN) inputs for different source. You can reference below instruction for the connection in case of what device you have.
1. Soundbase connect with optical/Coaxial output of your TV.
Remove the protective cap of the OPTICAL socket, and then using an OPTICAL cable (not included) to connect between the TV's OPTICAL OUT jack and the OPTICAL input jack of soundbase, the coaxial input connection is same. Press the "OPTI" or "COAX" button on remote control or button on top panel can switch the unit to optical or coaxial mode for the sound out and playing.

Note:
- If there is no sound come out of the soundbase. Make sure the audio setting of your source player (e.g. DVD player, game player, TV) is set to PCM with digital output. Please reference your TV or player manual for this operation.
- The output sound of Coaxial and Optical mode may louder than AUX IN etc which is normal, because the digital audio signal input and output level is different on audio source player( like DVD player, TV etc).

3. Soundbase connect with DVD player or Blue-ray DVD player.

4. Soundbase connect with MP3 player.
The soundbase has included one MP3 Link jack (LINE IN) which is able to connect with any other MP3 player device. Please reference below drawing for the connection and playing.

Power setting
Connect the AC power cord to wall socket, and the standby red color LED indicator will light up after successful connection.
Caution:
- Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the rating label on the back or on the underside of the unit.
- Before connecting the AC power cord, ensure that you have completed all other connection.
- Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet when the system is not in use for an extended period of time.

The unit includes Bluetooth function which allows you to audio streaming playback the music from your Bluetooth device.
- Short press the BT button on remote control or button on top panel enter to Bluetooth mode till the "bT" show on display; The blue color display will flare which mean the unit is ready to pair, also a notice sound will come out from speaker at same time.

Activate the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth device like smart phone etc (please reference your Bluetooth device manual for this operation) and search the available Bluetooth device.

Check the Bluetooth menu list on your device, and select "BLAUPUNKT SB200BT" for pairing; The blue color display will stop flare after pairing successfully, also another notice sound will come out from speaker at same time which means the paring is successful.

Select and play the music from your Bluetooth device, then the audio can wireless playback from the unit.

In Bluetooth mode, you can press the PREVIOUS or NEXT button to select the play track; and press the PLAY /PAUSE button for music play/pause control; press the VOLUME+/-button to adjust the volume.
Note:
a. Please input "0000" in case of a POP password required in your Bluetooth device during pairing.
b. Please kindly notes not all Bluetooth devices are guaranteed to be pairing successfully due to different brand and design.
c. The best working distance of Bluetooth is within 10 meters without any obstacle far away from the unit. Please make sure your Bluetooth device is in this distance.
d. In Bluetooth mode, press and hold PAIR button on remote control in two seconds can quit the Bluetooth current pairing, and the unit will start to pair with other device. The LED display will flare again. Please re-pair the unit for playback.
FM radio operation
Before start the FM radio tuning, please fully extend and adjust the position of the FM wire antenna and try to move the radio next to the window for better signal reception.
1. Enter FM radio mode
Short press the FM button on remote control or button can enter to FM radio mode; and the FM frequency will show on display.
2. Radio scan
Press and hold PREVIOUS or NEXT button for two seconds can auto scan the available FM station in upward or downward frequency and auto play the available FM radio.
3. Auto scan and preset operation.
In radio mode, press and hold SCAN button for two seconds on remote control can full scan and save the available radio station automatically. The unit can save up to 40 stations.
To pick up the preset FM station, please short press the "PREVIOUS" and NEXT button on remote control or top panel.
USB playback
The unit is able to decode and playback all MP3 music files which stored in USB sticker.
- Before start the USB playback, please copy the available MP3 music files to your USB device.
- Plug the USB sticker into the USB port, press the USB button on remote control or → button switch into USB playback mode; the unit will
automatically start readout the MP3 files from device, and play the music. - During playing, you can short press PREVIOUS//NEXT/PLAY/PAUSE button to get the relative function. Press hold and release PREVIOUS( ) ⏻ NEXT( ) ➕ button can get the fast-forward or fast-rewind function in playing.
Notes:
- Before connecting the USB media to the unit; please make sure the port is in correct direction and well connected.
- All USB stickers for playback function are not guaranteed due to different design and brand.
- An extension cable for USB connection and playing is not recommended, which may cause intermittent sound output due to signal loss during the data transportation.
- The unit only can support till 32 GB max storage device.
LINE IN (MP3 LINK)
The unit includes a LINE IN jack which allows you to playback the music from outsourcing player( like MP3 player etc) by a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio cable connection. You can select and play the music from your player, and get the sound output from the soundbase.
Press the LINE button on remote control or → button on top panel can switch the unit to LINE IN mode. In LINE IN playback mode, the main control is from your player device. The soundbase only can have volume adjustment, mute function.
USB Charging
The unit includes USB charging output port (1 x 5V/500A) which allow you to connect and provide power for other device like USB type lamp, fan or smart phone etc.
Before connect the USB charging port, please check the required power spec on your device, and use your device supplied USB cable (not included) for
connection. A charging symbol or function indicator will light up on your device after the charging connection successfully.
Remark:
a. The charging functions for all phones or electronic devices are not guaranteed on this unit.
b. Please always check the required charging rating spec on your device first, and connect with the USB port from this unit for charging.
c. Please always use your device supplied USB cable for charging connection.
d. The charging time of your device is not guarantee due to not supplied rating charging USB power source for your device.

Trouble shooting
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system by yourself. If you encounter problems when using this unit, check the following points before requesting service.
No power
- Ensure that the mains cable is connected securely.
• Make sure that the unit is switched on.
The remote control does not function
- Use the remote control near to the unit.
- Point the remote control at the remote control sensor on the unit.
- Replace the batteries in the remote control with new ones.
- Remove any obstacles between the remote control and the unit.
Loud hum or noise is heard
- The plugs and sockets are dirty. Wipe them with a cloth slightly moistened with an appropriate non-abrasive cleaning solution.
The unit does not respond when pressing any buttons
- The unit may freeze up during use. Switch off and then switch on the unit again at the mains socket to reset it.
No sound output
- Make sure that the unit is not muted. Press MUTE or VOL + to resume normal listening.
- Ensure that the audio setting of the input source (e.g. TV, game console, DVD player, etc.) is set to PCM with digital audio output mode while using Optical/Coaxial connection.
I can't find the Bluetooth name of this unit on my Bluetooth device for Bluetooth pairing
- Ensure that the unit is switched on.
- Ensure that the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device.
- The unit has a Bluetooth function that can receive a signal within 10 meters. Keep a distance within 10 meters both devices.
The unit switches off automatically after 60 minutes during playing
- Please increase the volume level on your input source player like DVD player/TV etc..
