Frequently Asked Questions - Xenon C 122 ECG

How do I connect my turntable to the Xenon C 122?
Connect the turntable's RCA cables to the Phono input on the rear panel. Ensure the turntable has a moving magnet (MM) cartridge. Set the input selector to 'Phono'.
Why is there no sound coming from the speakers?
Check that the speakers are properly connected to the speaker terminals and that the impedance matches (4-16 Ω). Ensure the volume is turned up and the correct input is selected. Also verify the source device is outputting audio.
How do I tune in a radio station?
Turn the Tuning knob on the front panel to adjust the frequency. For FM, extend the antenna. Use the FM/AM selector to choose the band. The analog dial indicates the frequency.
Can I use the Xenon C 122 with a subwoofer?
The receiver does not have a dedicated subwoofer output. You can connect a powered subwoofer using the Rec Out or a Y-splitter from the speaker outputs (if the subwoofer has high-level inputs).
Does the remote control require batteries?
Yes, the remote control uses two AAA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back and insert them with correct polarity.
How do I clean the Xenon C 122?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use any liquids, sprays, or solvents. Ensure the device is unplugged before cleaning.
What is the maximum power output?
The amplifier delivers 2 x 50 W RMS into 8 Ω speakers. Peak power may be higher but use RMS as reference for continuous performance.
Why does the FM reception sound poor?
Extend the FM antenna fully and reposition it for best reception. Avoid placing the receiver near metal objects or electronic interference. If using an indoor antenna, consider an external FM antenna.
Can I connect multiple audio sources?
Yes, the receiver has multiple inputs: AUX, Phono, and 2 Audio inputs (e.g., CD, tape, etc.). Use the input selector to choose the desired source.
Where can I find spare parts or service?
Contact ECG customer support or visit their official website for spare parts and authorized service centers. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself to avoid electrical hazards.
