How do I turn on the laser pointer?

Press and hold the momentary push button on the side to activate the laser. Release to turn off.

What is the laser class and power of the NLL01?

It is a Class 2 laser with output power ≤1 mW, emitting red light (630-670 nm).

Is it safe to look directly into the laser beam?

No, never look directly into the laser beam. Even Class 2 lasers can cause eye injury if stared at. Avoid pointing at eyes.

How far can the laser pointer reach?

The beam is visible up to 200 meters in low light conditions. Range depends on ambient light.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

Yes, you can use rechargeable AAA batteries (NiMH). However, output may be slightly dimmer due to lower voltage (1.2V vs 1.5V alkaline).

How do I clean the lens?

Gently wipe the lens with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

Is there a keychain or carrying case included?

The pointer has a keychain loop at the tail, but no case is included in the package.

What should I do if the laser beam is weak or not working?

Replace the batteries with fresh ones. If the problem persists, check if the lens is dirty or the device is damaged. Contact Cocraft support.

Is the Cocraft NLL01 suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, it can be used outdoors but the beam is most visible at night or in dim light. Avoid use in bright sunlight.

Safety

• Keep any warning labels on the laser spirit level in readable condition.
• This laser spirit level generates laser beams in accordance with EN 60825-1, class II standards. Never point the laser at yourself, other persons or animals. Even low intensity lasers can cause permanent eye damage.
• This laser spirit level contains no parts that you can repair yourself. The product must not be dismantled, opened or modified in any way.
  Warning: The use or adjustment of the spirit level in any way other than that described in this instruction manual could result in exposure to dangerous laser radiation.
• The laser spirit level is only intended for indoor use.
• Do not subject the laser spirit level to knocks, blows, strong vibrations or extreme temperatures.
• Never use the laser spirit level if you are under the influence of alcohol, medication or other drugs.
• Alert any bystanders to the use of the laser spirit level and inform them of the risks involved in the use of a laser.
• Avoid using the laser beam at eye-level (160–190 cm) if possible.
• Never look into the laser beam using a magnifying glass, microscope, binoculars or similar.
• The laser spirit level must not be used for any other purpose than projecting a laser line as described in this instruction manual.
• Only allow qualified service technicians to repair the laser spirit level and only using original parts.
• Never point the laser at reflective material.
• The laser spirit level is not a toy. Never let children use the product without supervision.
• Never leave the laser spirit level switched on unattended. Always switch it off after use.
• Never let children use the laser spirit level without supervision. They could unintentionally blind other persons or themselves.
• The bubble vials are filled with spirit, make sure that any leaks are cleaned up and taken care of in a safe way. The spirit is flammable and could cause eye and skin irritation.

Functions

The laser spirit level can:

• Project lines horizontally onto a wall.
• Project lines vertically onto a wall.
• Project a laser dot for level control.

Operating instructions

Note: Read the entire instruction manual ensuring that you have read all safety guidelines and understand how the laser spirit level operates before turning it on. Incorrect usage can lead to permanent eye damage.

Batteries

1. Release the spring catch on the battery cover (8) and remove it.

2. Insert 2 × AAA/LR03 batteries into the battery compartment in accordance with the markings.

3. Refit the battery cover.

Switching on/off and selecting the function

The laser spirit level is switched on/off using the power switch/function selector (1). The switch has the following settings:

- Laser line (forwards toward the laser outlet apertures).

- Off (in the middle).

- Laser dot (backwards).

The laser spirit level should be switched off when not in use to save the batteries.

Placement

The laser spirit level can be used in various different positions.

1. The laser spirit level should always be placed (with or without wall holder) on a firm, flat surface.
2. The included wall holder (11) can be used to attach the laser spirit level to a wall. The wall holder can be attached to a wall using a drawing pin or push pin. The wall holder also has a hole (15) for hanging it on a nail or screw.
3. For use with a tripod (sold separately) the wall holder has a 1/4" tripod mount thread (14).

Aligning the spirit level

The horizontal and vertical alignment of the laser spirit level should be adjusted using the bubble vials. When the laser spirit level is in the wall holder and on a wall the level or plumb alignment can be adjusted by moving the edge of the wall holder. When the laser spirit level is in the wall holder and mounted on a tripod it can be aligned using the adjustment knob (13). Make sure that the bubble is centred between the lines on the bubble vial.

Using the laser line

Horizontal laser line

For horizontal alignment the aluminium supporting surface (2) must be facing downward.

Align the laser spirit level horizontally using the bubble vial for horizontal projection (4).

Note: Horizontal alignment using the laser spirit level is only possible on the surface against which the wall holder is placed. A laser line projected onto an adjoining wall will not necessarily be horizontal.

Vertical laser line

For vertical alignment the aluminium supporting surface (2) must be facing to the side.

Align the laser spirit level vertically using the bubble vial for vertical projection (3).

The adjustment knob on the wall holder can be used for setting the laser spirit level to an angle of your choice for applications such as projecting lines parallel to stairs for hanging picture frames.

Using the laser dot

Used on a tripod (sold separately), the laser spirit level can also be used to mark points at the same height on multiple walls. The height should also be checked manually by measuring. Bear in mind that the setting will be altered if the tripod or spirit level is knocked or jolted.

Checking horizontal/vertical lines with the spirit level

Hold the laser spirit level with the aluminium supporting surface (2) against the surface to be checked. Check the position of the bubble in the applicable bubble vial.

Care and maintenance

• Clean the laser spirit level by wiping it with a damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Remove the batteries if the laser function is not to be used for a long time.
