Intended use
This device is an information technology device and is intended for charging and operating USB devices. Reduced charging times for compatible devices are made possible by the use of the Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 3.0 technology at the green USB (A) connection on the device. Compatible connected devices are automatically detected and provided with the appropriate output voltage and output current from the USB charger. The device is not intended for any other purpose nor for use beyond the scope described. The device is not intended for use in commercial or industrial environments. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage caused by failure to observe these instructions, improper use or repairs, unauthorised modifications or the use of unapproved replacement parts. The operator bears sole liability.

Safety
This section contains important safety instructions for handling the device. This device complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use may result in personal injury and property damage.
Basic safety instructions
To ensure safe operation of the device, follow the safety guidelines set out below:
- Check the device for visible external damage before use. Do not operate an device that has been damaged or dropped.
This device may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the device safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
DANGER! Do not allow children to play with the packaging material! Keep all packaging materials away from children. There is a risk of suffocation!
The mains power socket must be easily accessible so that the device can be quickly disconnected in an emergency.
The device draws current even if no other device is connected for charging. This means that the device should always be disconnected from the mains supply when not in use. The device must be disconnected from the mains supply for complete isolation, e.g. during emergencies.
■ DANGER! Never hold the power plug or the cable itself with wet hands, since this can cause a short-circuit or an electric shock.
■ When disconnecting the device from the mains supply, always pull on the plug itself and never on the cable.
If the power cable or connections are damaged, have them replaced by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service department.
■ Protect the power cable from hot surfaces and sharp edges. Ensure that the power cable is not stretched tightly or kinked. Do not leave the power cable hanging over edges (tripping hazard).
■ Always place the device on a stable and level surface. It can be damaged if dropped.
The surfaces of some items of furniture might contain components that can corrode and soften the rubber feet of the device. If necessary, place a mat under the device's rubber feet.
■ Do not place any objects on the device.
■ Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or high temperatures. Otherwise it may overheat and be irreparably damaged.
- Be sure to provide sufficient air circulation to avoid a heat build-up. Never cover the device. There is a fire hazard!
■ Do not place the device near heat sources such as radiators or other heat-generating devices.
Do not operate the device close to naked flames (e.g. candles) and do not place burning candles on or next to the device. This serves to prevent fires.
■ The device is not designed for use in rooms with high temperature or humidity (e.g. bathrooms) or excessive dust.
Do not expose the device to water spray or dripping water, and do not place liquid-filled objects such as vases or open drink containers on or near the device.
■ The device must always be supervised during use.
In the event of malfunctions and thunderstorms, disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
■ Disconnect the cable from the device immediately if you notice unusual noises, a burnt smell or smoke. Have the device checked by a qualified specialist before using it again.
DANGER! Never open the device housing. There are no parts inside the device which can be maintained. If the housing is opened, there is a risk of receiving a potentially fatal electric shock. All repairs on the device must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or Customer Service. Improper repairs may put the user at risk. It will also invalidate any warranty claims.
■ Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be carried out by a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer. Otherwise, no warranty claims will be held for any subsequent damages.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts. Compliance with the safety requirements can only be guaranteed by using these replacement parts.

NOTE
▶ Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible damage.
If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the service hotline (see section Service).
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the device from damage during transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves raw materials and reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
If possible, keep the device's original packaging during the warranty period so that the device can be packed properly for return shipment in the event of a warranty claim.
Fitting the stand
Insert the USB charger from above into the stand 5 until it engages in the fixing lugs.
NOTE
The USB charger can also be operated without the stand ^5 .
Using the USB charger
CAUTION
▶ Ensure that the power consumption of your device is not higher than 3 A when you are using the USB socket (A) ②. The overall power consumption of all devices connected to the USB sockets (B-E) ① may not be higher than 3 A. The power consumption of your device may not exceed 2.4 A on the individual USB socket (B-E) ① Refer to your USB device instruction manual for more information.
The maximum power output of the USB charger is 6 A. The maximum power output of the USB socket (A) ② is 3 A. The maximum power output of the four USB sockets (B-E) ① together is 3 A. The power output is distributed depending on assignment of the USB sockets (B-E) ①. The maximum power output of the individual USB sockets (B-E) ① is 2.4 A.
NOTE
The USB socket (A)2 supports the Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 3.0 charging standard (compatible with Quick Charge™ 2.0 and Quick Charge™ 1.0). If the connected device is compatible with this charging standard, it will automatically be detected by the USB charger. The USB charger supplies the appropriate output voltage or output current so that the device can be charged more quickly. Devices without this charging standard can be charged normally using the USB socket (A)2
Connect your device to the USB charger. Use the original USB cable supplied with your device to optimise the charging process.
◆ Plug the USB charger mains plug into a properly-installed mains power socket.
The operating LED3 illuminates blue which signals connection to the power supply.
If required, you can switch your connected device on for further use.
NOTE
▶ Observe the charging status on your connected device.
◆ Disconnect your connected device from the USB charger once the device has completed charging.
◆ Disconnect the power plug from the power socket if you no longer require the USB charger.
Troubleshooting
The following table will help you to rectify minor problems:

| The operating LED 3 is blinking blue. The USB charger is overloaded. | ► Immediately disconnect all the connected devices one after the other until the operating LED 3 continuously illuminates blue again. |
Cleaning
DANGER
Risk to life from electrical current!
▶ Remove the plug from the mains socket before starting to clean the device.
CAUTION
Damage to the device!
To avoid irreparable damage to the device, ensure that no moisture penetrates the device during cleaning.
◆ Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth.
Use a lightly moistened cloth and a mild detergent to remove stubborn dirt residues.
Storage when not in use
If you decide not to use the device for a long period, disconnect it from the mains power supply and store it in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Disposal

This directive states that this device may not be disposed of in the normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be handed over to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies.

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion. This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 12345) available as proof of purchase.
- You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on the front page of the instructions (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the appliance.
If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
- You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
