Congratulations on the purchase of this evolutive weighing scale with an Interchangeable base of babies and children weighing up to 50Kg. Before using this appliance, read the instruction manual carefully.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the safety instructions before using this appliance and keep them for future references.

  1. You must not bang the weighing scales with sharp or hard objects and strong vibrations should be avoided.
  2. Avoid weighing objects that surpass the maximum capacity of weighing scales (50 kg/ 100 lb).
  3. Do not get the weighing scales wet. You must only clean the weighing scales with a soft cloth and with natural cleaning products.
  4. Protect the base of the tray and the weighing plate well. If these parts are damaged, the readings may be incorrect.
  5. Replace the batteries when the 'Low-battery' display appears on the screen.
  6. The batteries must be inserted with their terminals placed properly.
  7. Take the batteries out when the weighing scales are stored or not used for long time periods.
  8. Never try to open or dismantle any part of the appliance except to change the batteries.
  9. Only use this appliance for its anticipated use.
  10. Do not try and repair this product yourself as by opening it and handling it you may damage the device or expose it to a hazard.

IMPORTANT: Bear in mind that any change or modification to the equipment not carried out by the MINILAND technical service will not be covered by the product guarantee.

5. USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

5.1 PREPARATION

  1. Installing the batteries: Open the lid of the battery compartment on the lower part of the weighing scale and insert the two batteries properly.
  2. Operating environment: Place the weighing scales on a firm, horizontal surface.

5.2 OPERATIONS

  1. Press the "On/Off" (5) button to turn on the weighing scale.
  2. Press the "On/Off" (5) button again to select the weight measurement unit between "lb & oz" or "kg" whilst all the digits of the display screen are turned on.
  3. The final weight result will appear on the LCD screen (4). A few seconds later, the display will mark "0.00" (kg/lb & oz). When both the "0.00" (kg/lb & oz) signal and the "◀ signals appear, the weighing scale will be ready to use.
  4. The Tare function allows the elimination of the weight of any accessories such as towels or blankets so as not to distort the measurement if you weight the baby with them. To use it, firstly weight these objects and press the Tare button (6). From this time onwards the weighing scale will only record the baby's weight when the latter is placed on it. This function will be voided if the weight of the accessories exceeds 0.5 kg.
  5. Place the baby on the weighing scale when "0.00" (kg/ lb & oz) appears in the display.
  6. During the weighing process, the figures will flash. The final weight will be that marked on the display when it stops flashing.
  7. Before weighing anything else, firstly take the baby off the weighing scale, press the "HOLD" button until "0.00 kg" appears on the screen.
  8. The weighing scale will be turned off automatically after 40 seconds.

Note: Do not place anything on the weighing scale before turning it on.

5.3 TRAY CHANGE

To change the tray, follow the steps below:

  1. Turn the jog wheel (8) which is situated below the weighing scale to the OPEN position.
  2. Take off the tray placed on the weighing scale put the one on which you wish to use.
  3. Once the new tray has been correctly adjusted, turn the jog wheel (8) again to the CLOSE position.

Note: You are recommended only to use the child weighing plate (3) if the baby is capable of standing up by himself.

Cleaning

Do not get the weighing scale wet. You must only clean the weighing scale with a soft cloth and with natural cleaning products.
