GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Warning! Please read all safety warnings, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow them may result in electric shock, fire or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” used in the warnings refers to all corded and cordless electric power tools.
Workplace safety
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clutter and poor lighting can cause accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or fumes.
Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Do not allow children or bystanders into the work area. Loss of concentration can cause loss of control.
Electrical safety
The plug on the electric cord must match the outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way. Do not use any plug adapters with grounded power tools. An unmodified plug that matches the outlet reduces the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, and refrigerators. Grounding your body increases the risk of electric shock.
Do not expose power tools to precipitation or moisture. Water or moisture entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not overload the power cord. Do not use the power cord to carry, pull, or disconnect the plug from the wall outlet. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. A damaged or entangled power cord increases the risk of electric shock.
When working outdoors, use extension cords designed for outdoor use. Using an extension cord designed for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
If using a power tool in a damp environment is unavoidable, a residual current device (RCD) should be used as protection against supply voltage. The use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Even a moment of inattention while operating a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. The use of personal protective equipment such as dust masks, non-skid safety shoes, hard hats, and hearing protection reduces the risk of serious personal injury.
Prevent accidental starting. Ensure that the power switch is in the “off” position before connecting to power source and/or battery, picking up or carrying the power tool. Carrying a power tool with your finger on the switch or energizing a power tool when the switch is in the “on” position can result in serious injury.
Remove any wrench or key that is used to adjust the power tool before turning it on. A wrench or key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in serious injury.

EN
any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. Any damage should be repaired before using the power tool. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
Cutting tools should be kept clean and sharp. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control during operation.
Use power tools, accessories and attachments etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the type and conditions of work. Use of tools for work other than those designed may result in a hazardous situation.
Keep handles and gripping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and gripping surfaces do not allow safe operation and control of the tool in hazardous situations.
Repairs
Have your power tool repaired only by authorized service centers, using only original spare parts. This will ensure proper safety of your power tool.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHAIN SAWS
When operating a chain saw, keep all parts of your body away from the chain. Before starting the saw, make sure that the chain is not in contact with anything. A moment of inattention while operating a chain saw can cause clothing or body parts to become entangled in the saw chain.
Always hold the saw with your right hand on the rear handle and your left hand on the front handle. Holding the saw the other way around should never be done, as it increases the risk of injury.
Hold the saw only by grips with insulated surfaces, because the chain may contact hidden wiring or its own power cord.
Chain contact with a live wire may cause metal parts to become live, which could give the operator an electric shock.
Wear eye protection. Ear, head, hand, leg and foot protection is also recommended. Proper protective equipment reduces the risk of injury from debris or accidental contact with the chain.
Do not operate a chainsaw in a tree, on a ladder, from a roof, or on any unstable support. Operating a chainsaw while in a tree may result in injury.
Always maintain proper posture and operate the chainsaw from a stationary, secure and level surface. A slippery or unstable surface, such as a ladder, can cause loss of balance or loss of control of the chainsaw.
When cutting a branch under tension, be careful of kickback. If the tension stored in the wood fibers is released, the branch can strike the operator and/or throw the saw out of control.
Be especially careful when cutting shrubs and young trees. The slender material can catch the chain and push the saw back toward the operator or throw him off balance.
Carry the chain saw by the front handle, switched off and away from your body. Always fit the chain guard when transporting or storing the saw. Holding the saw correctly reduces the likelihood of accidental contact with moving parts of the saw.
Follow instructions for lubrication, chain tensioning and accessory replacement. An incorrectly tensioned or improperly lubricated chain can both break and increase the chance of kickback toward the operator.
Keep handles dry, clean and free from grease and oil. Greasy or oily handles are slippery and cause loss of control of the chainsaw.
Only cut wood. Do not use the chainsaw for work for which it was not designed. For example: do not cut plastic, concrete, or non-wood building materials. Using the chainsaw for work other than its intended purpose may result in hazardous situations.
This saw is not designed for felling trees. Using the saw for any other purpose than it was designed for can result in serious injury to the operator and bystanders.
Follow all instructions when clearing jammed material, storing or servicing the saw. Be sure the switch is in the off position and the battery is disconnected from the tool. Unexpected starting of the saw while clearing jammed material or servicing can result in serious injury.
Causes and prevention of the operator kickback phenomenon.
Kickback can occur when the tip of the guide bar contacts an object or when the wood being cut pinches the saw in the kerf. In some cases, contact between the tip of the guide bar and an object can cause a violent reaction that pushes the guide bar up and toward the operator. Pinching the top of the guide bar in the kerf can force the guide bar suddenly toward the operator.
Any of these reactions could cause you to lose control of the saw, which could result in serious injury. Do not rely solely on the safety features built into the saw. The saw operator should take several steps to prevent accidents and injuries while working.
Kickback is the result of misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given below:
Maintain a firm grip with both hands, with thumbs and fingers closing around the chainsaw handles, and position your body and arms to allow you to resist kickback forces. Kickback forces can be controlled by the operator if proper precautions are taken. Do not allow the saw to move freely.
Avoid overreaching or cutting above shoulder height. This will help prevent accidental contact with the end of the guide bar and will allow for better control of the saw in unexpected situations.
Only use replacement bar and chain specified by the manufacturer. An incorrect replacement bar and chain may cause chain
EN
breakage and/or kickback.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for sharpening and maintaining the chain. Reducing the depth of the chain guide groove can lead to an increased likelihood of kickback.
Other safety instructions
It is forbidden to expose the saw to precipitation or use it in an atmosphere of increased humidity. It is also forbidden to use the saw in an atmosphere with an increased risk of fire or explosion.
During operation, avoid contact with grounded, conductive and non-insulated objects such as pipes, radiators and refrigerators.
When the saw is not in use, it should be stored in a dry, locked place, inaccessible to unauthorized persons.
A saw chain that is rated for the load must be used. Do not use saw chains designed for light work, for heavy work.
Always wear protective gloves when replacing, repairing or adjusting the saw chain.
When transporting a chainsaw, make sure it is disconnected from the power source. Mains-powered chainsaws should be disconnected from the power supply, and battery-powered chainsaws should have the battery disconnected. The chainsaw should be carried with the guide bar facing backwards.
Do not carry a mains-powered saw by the power cord. Do not disconnect the plug from the socket by pulling on the power cord.
Avoid accidentally switching the saw on. When carrying the saw while it is plugged in or with the battery connected, keep your fingers away from the power switch.
Always wear appropriate, close-fi tting protective clothing.
If the saw is equipped with two handles, always use both hands to operate the saw. Secure loose pieces of wood during operation to prevent them from moving, for example by placing them in a sawhorse. Avoid cutting wood placed on the ground. Avoid working with wood that is not secured against movement during cutting.
People who will be cutting with a chainsaw for the first time should at least practice cutting logs placed on trestles or sawhorses.
Do not hold the saw above your shoulders when working. Do not operate the saw while standing on a ladder. Adopt a working posture that does not require you to extend your arms to their full length.
Keep the chain clean. The chain must be sharpened and lubricated. This will ensure more efficient and safer operation. The chain can be sharpened at a specialist service. Before each use, check the condition of the chain. If you notice cracks, broken teeth or any other damage, replace the chain with a new one before starting work.
If you notice any damaged or broken parts of the saw. Stop or do not attempt to work. Damaged parts must be replaced before starting work.
The saw should be used for its intended purpose, the saw is only for cutting wood. During operation, be careful of metal elements or stones that may be in the processed wood.
Only original spare parts should be used. Failure to use original spare parts can increase the risk of failure and lead to personal injury.
The saw should only be repaired in service centers authorized by the manufacturer. Using original spare parts. This will minimize the risk of accidents and equipment damage.
Battery Charging Safety Instructions
Caution! Before starting to charge, make sure that the body of the power supply, the cable and the plug are not cracked or damaged. It is forbidden to use a faulty or damaged charging station and power supply! Only the charging station and power supply provided in the set may be used to charge batteries. Using another power supply may cause a fire or destroy the tool. The battery may only be charged in a closed, dry room protected from access by unauthorized persons, especially children. Do not use the charging station and power supply without constant adult supervision! If it is necessary to leave the room where charging is taking place, disconnect the charger from the mains by unplugging the power supply from the mains socket. If smoke, a suspicious smell, etc. is emitted from the charger, immediately remove the charger plug from the mains socket!
The drill-driver is supplied with an uncharged battery, therefore before starting work it should be charged according to the procedure described below using the included power supply and charging station. Li-Ion batteries do not exhibit the so-called „memory effect“, which allows them to be charged at any time. However, it is recommended to discharge the battery during normal operation and then charge it to full capacity. If due to the nature of the work it is not possible to treat the battery in this way every time, then it should be done at least every few or a dozen cycles of operation. Under no circumstances should batteries be discharged by short-circuiting the electrodes, as this causes irreversible damage! It is also forbidden to check the battery charge by short-circuiting the electrodes and checking for sparking.
Battery storage
To extend the life of the battery, ensure proper storage conditions. The battery can withstand about 500 charge-discharge cycles. The battery should be stored in a temperature range of 0 to 30 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 50%. To store the battery for a longer period of time, it should be charged to about 70% of its capacity. In the case of longer storage, the battery should be charged periodically, once a year. Do not over-discharge the battery, as this shortens its life and may cause irreversible damage.
During storage, the battery will gradually discharge due to leakage. The self-discharge process depends on the storage temperature, the higher the temperature, the faster the discharge process. If the batteries are not stored properly, the electrolyte may leak. In the event of a leak, secure the leak with a neutralizing agent, in the event of contact with the eyes, rinse the eyes thoroughly
EN
with water and then seek medical attention immediately. It is forbidden to use the tool with a damaged battery.
When the battery is completely worn out, it should be taken to a specialist waste disposal facility.
Battery transportation
Lithium-ion batteries are considered hazardous materials by law. The user of the tool can transport the tool with the battery and the batteries themselves by land. No additional conditions need to be met. In the event of entrusting transport to third parties (e.g. shipping by courier), the regulations for the transport of hazardous materials must be followed. Before shipping, contact a person with appropriate qualifications on this matter.
It is forbidden to transport damaged batteries. During transport, dismantled batteries must be removed from the tool, and exposed contacts must be protected, e.g. with insulating tape. Batteries must be secured in the packaging in such a way that they do not move inside the packaging during transport. National regulations regarding the transport of hazardous materials must also be observed.
Battery charging (XI)
Insert the battery into the charger socket.
Connect the charger to a wall outlet.
There is a charger operation indicator light near the battery socket, as described in the "Charger operation indicator" table. After charging is complete, disconnect the power supply plug from the electrical outlet. PRODUCT SERVICE
Preparing the saw for work
Attention! Before all assembly and adjustment operations, disconnect the saw from the power supply. The battery must be removed from the device.
Before first use, the guide bar and saw chain must be fitted.
Turn the locking knob and remove the side cover.
Install the guide bar and chain as shown in photo (II).
Make sure the chain and guide bar are installed in the correct direction. The direction of the chain is visible on the housing after removing the side cover. The blades on the chain links should point in the same direction as the link visible on the saw housing.
The chain should not be tensioned yet, but it should be ensured that the chain is in the guide bar slot and in the teeth on the drive wheel. Install the side cover and tighten the locking knob (III), but not so as to block the guide bar movement. Adjust the chain
EN
tension (III) by turning the locking knob. Turning the screw clockwise increases the chain tension, turning the screw counterclockwise decreases the chain tension.
Check the chain tension. To do this, pull the chain away from the guide bar (III). During this test, the chain at the holding point should rise above the guide bar by 3 to 4 mm. If the chain is too tight or too loose, loosen the locking knob slightly and readjust the chain tension. The chain tension should be checked every 10 minutes of saw operation.
Before connecting the saw to the power supply, its technical condition should be checked. If any damage is detected, it is forbidden to connect it to the power supply before the damage has been repaired.
Chain lubrication
The saw does not have an oil tank for lubricating the chain, therefore, every 15-20 minutes of operation you should stop the work, remove the battery from the tool, dismantle the side panel, clean the chain and apply oil to the links, e.g. using an oil can.
Only oil designed for such applications should be used to lubricate the chain and chainsaw mechanisms. Used engine oil should not be used for lubrication. It will not fulfill its purpose and may damage the chainsaw mechanism.
Preparing the workplace
Before starting to cut with a chainsaw, the work area should be prepared in such a way as to minimize the risk of hazards that accompany working with a chainsaw. It should be ensured that only authorized persons will be in the work area.
Do not start work during precipitation or in cases of high air humidity, e.g. fog.
Protective clothing and personal protective equipment should be worn.
Before starting to cut, the timber should be tested in safe conditions, for example on a trestle.
Avoid cutting wires, young trees and wooden beams.
Do not stand on the wood being cut.
Starting the saw
Remove the cover from the bar and chain.
Grasp the handle with your right hand and place your left hand on the rubberized part of the housing.
Make sure the top cover is lowered.
Make sure that the guide bar and chain are not in contact with any object or surface.
Press the switch lock button on the handle with your thumb and hold it in this position (V).
Press the switch and hold it in this position (V). The lock button can be released.
Before starting to cut, wait until the engine reaches full speed and make sure that the chain moves smoothly along the guide bar. If you hear any unusual sounds or feel any vibrations, immediately turn the saw off by releasing the switch.
To turn the saw off, release the pressure on the switch.
Once the chain has stopped, the saw must be disconnected from the power supply and serviced.
Working with a chainsaw
Those who intend to work with a chainsaw for the first time should seek advice on work and safety from a qualified chainsaw operator before starting work. And the first work with the chainsaw should consist of cutting prepared logs placed in a sawhorse.
During work, basic safety rules must be followed. The possibility of the saw kicking back towards the operator must also be taken into account. The saw may kick back towards the operator if the cutting chain meets resistance.
To minimize this risk you should:
Pay attention to the position of the top of the guide bar when cutting. Do not cut with the upper quarter of the top of the guide bar (VI).
Only cut with the chain that slides along the bottom of the guide bar.
Only place the saw on the wood being cut when it is already running. Do not start the saw after it has been placed on the wood being cut.
Do not lift the saw at shoulder height or higher while operating (VII).
Do not stand in the cutting plane. This will reduce the risk of injury in the event of a kickback (VIII).
Always hold the saw with both hands when operating.
Make sure the chain is always sharp and properly tensioned.
USEFUL TIPS WHEN WORKING WITH A SAW
When cutting, you should adopt a comfortable position and ensure complete freedom of movement.
When cutting branches and limbs, do not cut them right at the trunk, but at a distance of about 15 cm from the trunk. Make two cuts to a depth of 1/3 of the branch's diameter at a distance of about 8 cm from each other. One cut from the bottom, the other from the top. Then cut the branch right at the trunk to a depth of 1/3 of the branch's diameter. Finish the cut by cutting the branch right at the trunk from the top. Do not cut branches by cutting from the bottom (IX).
If the saw becomes jammed while cutting, never leave it with the engine running in this position. Switch off the saw engine, disconnect the saw from the power supply and use wedges to pull the saw out of the trunk.
When cutting a tree into pieces that has already been cut, the following rules must be followed. Place the wood on a trestle or stands so that the cut piece can fall freely to the ground without jamming the saw. If the saw becomes jammed, proceed as de-
EN
scribed above. Do not touch the saw to the ground or allow it to become dirty with earth.
When working on a slope, remain above the wood being cut while working.
When cutting wood that is under tension, be extremely careful and if possible have a qualified lumberjack do it. When cutting wood that is under tension and supported at both ends, make a cut from the top to a depth of 1/3 of the diameter and then finish the cut by cutting from the bottom. If the wood is supported at only one end, make a cut from the bottom to a depth of 1/3 of the diameter and then finish the cut by cutting from the top (X). This will reduce the risk of the saw jamming during cutting.
PRODUCT MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Warning! Before starting any of the tasks described below, disconnect the saw from the power supply. Mains-powered saws must be disconnected from the socket, and the battery must be disconnected from battery-powered saws.
After each use, the condition of the saw should be inspected, with particular attention paid to the patency of the ventilation holes. Check the alignment of all the saw components. Tighten any loose screw connections. Check the chain tension and condition. If you notice any damage to the chain, replace it with a new one. It is forbidden to use the saw with a damaged chain!
A chain that is too loose can fall off the guide bar, which can cause injury to the operator. The chain must also be properly sharpened, and since this requires the appropriate experience and tools, it is recommended that sharpening be carried out by a specialist service. The saw housing should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. The housing should be cleaned of wood residue, oil, grease and other dirt. Coat the chain with a thin layer of oil or preservative.
Store the saw in a shaded, dry place with adequate ventilation to prevent condensation, with the battery disconnected and the mains charger disconnected from the power supply. The place should be inaccessible to unauthorized persons, especially children. During storage, the guide bar and chain should always be protected with a cover.
