General Instructions
- Read these instructions carefully before installing or using this appliance.
- No combustible material or products should be placed on this appliance at any time.
- Please make this information available to the person responsible for installing the appliance as it could reduce your installation costs.
- In order to avoid a hazard, this appliance must be installed according to these instructions for installation.
- This appliance is to be properly installed and earthed only by a suitably qualified person.
- This appliance should be connected to a circuit which incorporates an isolating switch providing full disconnection from the power supply.
- Failure to install the appliance correctly could invalidate any warranty or liability claims.
- This device may be only used by children 8 years old or older and persons with limited physical, sensory and mental capabilities and / or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they have been instructed in use of the device by a responsible person who understands the associated risks.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. Do not let them use the appliance without supervision.
- Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility of electric shock, for hob surfaces of glass-ceramic or similar material which protect live parts.
- Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, lids and food packed in aluminium foil should not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot. A steam cleaner is not to be used.
- Do not use a steam cleaner to clean your cooktop.
- Never wash by pouring water directly to avoid danger.
- Do not put any detergents or fl ammable materials around or beneath the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The cooking process has to be supervised. A short term cooking process has to be supervised continuously.
- Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fi re. NEVER try to extinguish a fi re with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover fl ame e.g. with a lid or a fi re blanket.
- Never cook food while it is in can in order to avoid explosion dangers.
- Never operate the appliance in high temperature environments such as near a gas stove or kerosene stove.

Risk of fire! Do not store other items on the cooking surfaces, except pans and pots.
INSTRUCTIONS ON USE AND MAINTENANCE
Electrical Shock Hazard
- Do not cook on a broken or cracked cooktop. If the cooktop surface should break or crack, immediately switch off the appliance, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and contact a qualified technician.
- Switch off the induction hob before cleaning and maintenance and pull out the mains plug.
- Failure to follow this advice may result in electrical shock or death.
Health Hazard
• This appliance complies with electromagnetic safety standards.
- However, persons with cardiac pacemakers or other electrical implants (such as insulin pumps) must consult with their doctor or implant manufacturer before using this appliance to make sure that their implants will not be affected by the electromagnetic field.
- Failure to follow this advice may result in death.

CAUTION
Risk of burns! During use, accessible parts of this appliance will become hot enough to cause burns. Do not let your body, clothing or any item other than suitable cookware contact the Induction glass until the surface is cool.
- Keep children away.
- Handles of saucepans may be hot to touch. Check saucepan handles do not overhang other cooking zones that are on.
- Keep handles out of reach of children.
• Failure to follow this advice could result in burns and scalds. - After used, the corresponding heating zone is still hot. Never touch the ceramic surface to avoid burning. Children should keep a safe distance during and after cooking. While the glass surface is hot. While the glass surface is hot, wires must not be in contact with the hob surface, otherwise, power cord and cooking area would be damaged.

WARNING
Risk of injury! The razor-sharp blade of a cooktop scraper is exposed when the safety cover is retracted. Use with extreme care and always store safely and out of reach of children. Failure to use caution could result in injury or cuts.
General Instructions
- Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Boilover causes smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
- Never use your appliance as a work or storage surface.
• Never leave any objects or utensils on the appliance. - Do not place or leave any magnetisable objects (e.g. credit cards, memory cards) or electronic devices (e.g. computers, MP3 players) near the appliance, as they may be affected by its electromagnetic field.
- Never use your appliance for warming or heating the room.
• After use, always turn off the cooking zones and the cooktop as described in this manual (i.e. by using the touch controls). - Do not rely on the pan detection feature to turn off the cooking zones when you remove the pans.
- Do not allow children to play with the appliance or sit, stand, or climb on it.
- Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above the appliance. Children climbing on the cooktop could be seriously injured.

Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area where the appliance is in use.

Children or persons with a disability which limits their ability to use the appliance should have a responsible and competent person to instruct them in its use. The instructor should be satisfied that they can use the appliance without danger to themselves or their surroundings.
- Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically recommended in the manual. All other servicing should be done by a qualified technician.
- Do not place or drop heavy objects on your cooktop.
• Do not stand on your cooktop. - Do not use pans with jagged edges or drag pans across the Induction glass surface as this can scratch the glass.
- Do not use scourers or any other harsh abrasive cleaning agents to clean your cooktop, as these can scratch the Induction glass.
- The appliance is intended for indoor and household use only and is intended for cooking.
• The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. - Care should be taken to avoid touching heating elements.
• Children less than 8 years of age shall be kept away unless continuously supervised.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Induction cooking is a safe, advanced, efficient, and economical cooking technology. It works by electromagnetic vibrations generating heat directly in the pan, rather than indirectly through heating the glass surface. The glass becomes hot only because the pan eventually warms it up.

Notes on using the induction hob
- Do not place food directly onto hob surface – always cook with a pot.
- Do not arbitrarily leave oil or oiled foods on the hob surface, since oil could be overheated and produce fire. If fire is caused by oil, do not put off fire by pouring water onto it. Place a lid to cover the fire and switch off the power.
- The hob surface may be damaged by dropping of hard and sharp objects. Keep hard and sharp object at proper places.
- Never put hot cookware on top of the control panel.
- Examine the bottom of pot before using. The bottom of pot should not be rough or else is scratch the hob surface.

Touch controls
- The controls respond to touch, so you don't need to apply any pressure.
• Use the ball of your finger, not its tip.

- Make sure the controls are always clean, dry, and that there is no object (e.g. a utensil or a cloth) covering them. Even a thin film of water may make the controls difficult to operate.
OPERATION
Note: Before using the induction hob, put a cookware made of ferromagnetic metal on to the hob surface.
Switch on induction hob
Touch the On/Off button ①, a beeping sound will be heard. The cooking zone display (5) shows the following:

Set power level
Touch the power level button is the power level control lamp and the control lamp for the selected cooking zone above the cooking zone display (5) flash. "0" is shown on the display of the selected cooking zone.
Use the slider to set the desired power level from "1" to "9".

Set temperature
Touch the temperature button of the temperature control lamp and the control lamp of the selected cooking zone above the cooking zone display (5) flash.
Set a temperature between 60 °C and 240 °C with the touch slider.

Set timer
Touch the Timer button timer control lamp lights up. Use the plus and minus (+/-) buttons to set a time between 0-180 minutes. The timer display (8) comes on. When the timer countdown is over, a beep signal sounds and the induction hob is switched off automatically.
Activate key lock
Touch the key lock button 1 second, a beeping sound will be heard.
The key lock control lamp lights up and the set function is locked. If you now accidentally touch another button, the induction hob will not respond unless you touch the On/Off

Deactivate key lock
Touch the key lock button 2 seconds, a beeping sound will be heard, The key lock control lamp goes out and the set function is no longer locked.
Suspend function
Touch the suspend button 1 second, a beeping sound will be heard, The suspend control lamp lights up and the cooking zone display (5) shows the following:

Notes on setting the power level, temperature and timer
- When the control lamp of a cooking zone above the cooking zone display (5) flashes, you can set the power level, temperature and timer for this cooking zone. If you do not want to set this cooking zone, do not make any settings here. Instead, you can select a different cooking zone with the power level button.

The power setting is shown on the cooking zone display (5). When you set the temperature, the cooking zone display (5) shows "C" and the temperature display (8) shows the set temperature.

After you have set the temperature or heating power, touch the Timer button set the timer while the cooking zone control lamp above the cooking zone display (5) is still flashing. The timer setting and the set temperature are shown alternately on the timer/temperature display (8).

If "EO" is shown on the cooking zone display (5), the induction hob has not detected any ferromagnetic metal cookware, which means that the cookware used is unsuitable. Use cookware made of ferromagnetic metal.

CAUTION
Risk of burns! The accessible surfaces of the appliance can become very hot during operation.
PROTECTION FUNCTIONS
Over-temperature protection
The appliance is equipped with a temperature sensor device to monitor the temperature inside the hobs. When an excessive temperature is detected, both the Induction Hob and the Hi-Light Ceramic Hob will stop increasing temperature automatically.
Detection of small articles (Induction Hob)
When the Induction Hob detected the existence of a pot which is less than 80 mm in diameter or small articles (e.g. knife, fork, forceps, key, etc.) or non-magnetic pots (such as aluminium or bronze pot), the buzzer can gives out an alarm lasting about 1 minute. In case user has not put proper pot in time, the Induction Hob shall automatically switch to standby mode.
Residual heat after use
When the hob is used for a long period of time, heat remains in the heating zone for a few minutes.
Auto shutdown protection
Auto shutdown is a safety protection function of the appliance. If not turned-off after 120 minutes, it will shuts down automatically.
When pot is removed, the induction hob shall stop heating immediately and shut down after 1 minute of buzzer sound.
CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning after each use
- Clean the hob after each use. Before cleaning, make sure that the hob surface is no longer hot.
- Remove residues such as salt, sugar and sand immediately after cooking to avoid scratching the hob.
Improper cleaning detergents
- The high voltage or whiff style steam cleaner should not be used for cleaning. After each use, wipe the cooking surface with a damp cloth then use protective detergent to maintain the brightness of glass panel.
- Never use steel brush or causticity cleaning product such as spray and rust cleaning products to clean the hob.
Removing hob from kitchen countertop
- Before removing the appliance, make sure the electric power has been disconnected.
Common possible damage
These comon damages shall not effect any function of the appliance:
- Rust: The rusty surface may be caused by sugar or food which has high-sugar contains.
- Scratches: Scratches may be caused by grains of salt, sugar, sand or abnormal bottom of pot.
- Fading: Abrasion of metal ring on hob surface or use of unsuitable cleaning products may cause fading.
- Fading of decorative marking: Using unsuitable cleaning products will cause fading of decorative marking.
Note: The above mentioned damages are caused by incorrect usage and incorrect care of the product and are not related to technical defects, therefore they are not warranted.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Note: If there are any disruptions in the device operation and the display will show an error code check with the table below if the problem can be solved before you contact the manufacturer or customer service.

| E1 | The appliance heats up extensively (due to e.g. covered ventilation slots). | Clear the ventilation slots. Let the appliance cool down for a few minutes. Afterwards the appliance is ready for operation. |
| If the error code is displayed when the appliance has cooled down, contact customer service. | ||
| Appliance parts are damaged (e.g. the transistor). | Contact customer service. | |
| E2 | The overheating protection is on and appliance will switch off. | Pull the plug from the socket. Remove the cookware from the hob. Let the appliance cool down for a few minutes. Afterwards insert the plug into the socket and restart the appliance. |
| E3 | Short lasting power cut. Pull | the plug from the socket. After a few minutes, plug in the appliance again. Have the power supply checked by an electrician. |
If you cannot remove the errors and malfunctions:
- Do not open the appliance housing.
Contact the manufacturer or customer service and provide the following information:
- type of malfunction,
- article and serial number (rating plate at the rear of the device),
- date of purchase.
