How to use the oven for the first time?

Before first use, heat the empty oven at 200°C for 30 minutes to eliminate new smell. Then let it cool and clean the interior with a damp cloth.

How to clean the ceramic hob?

Use a specific ceramic hob cleaner and a soft cloth. Gently rub, then rinse. Avoid abrasive sponges.

What to do if the oven does not heat up?

First check that the appliance is plugged in and the circuit breaker has not tripped. If the problem persists, contact Klarstein customer service.

How to use the convection function?

Select the convection mode (fan) on the selector. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes before baking your dishes. This mode ensures even cooking on multiple levels.

How to set the timer?

Turn the timer knob clockwise to the desired time (max 120 minutes). The oven will turn off automatically at the end of the countdown.

Are the ceramic hobs compatible with all types of pans?

They are compatible with pans with flat and smooth bottoms, such as stainless steel, enamel, or aluminum. Avoid rough or copper bottoms.

How to change the oven light bulb?

Unplug the appliance. Unscrew the glass cover inside the oven, replace the bulb with a new one of the same type (25W, 300°C). Screw the cover back on.

Why does the residual heat indicator stay on?

It's normal. The indicator shows that the cooking surface is still hot after use. It will turn off automatically when the temperature drops below 60°C.

How to activate the child lock?

Press and hold the lock button (often symbolized by a padlock) for 3 seconds until a beep sounds. To deactivate, repeat the operation.

INSTALLATION

1. Before using the hotplates, remove all packing materials first.
2. Install the handles before use.

COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION

• Make sure all controls are in the „Off“ position („MIN“ pointing up). Plug the power plug of the unit into the wall outlet.
• The invisible protective layer on the unit must be removed before use. To do this, set the maximum level and leave the unit switched on for about 4 minutes. Ensure that the room is well ventilated as this will produce smoke. Switch the unit off and allow it to cool down completely. The unit is ready for use.
• Only use pans and pots with a flat surface that allows good contact with the hotplate. Ideally, the size of the bottom of the pot should match the size of the hotplate.
• Adjust the temperature. The hotplates have different levels. Use the lower steps (MIN 4) for cooking and gentle heating and use the upper steps (5 MAX) for cooking.
• When the appliance is switched off, residual heat remains. This can be used to keep food warm for a short time.
• After use, turn the switch to „MIN“ and unplug the appliance.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the wall outlet and allow it to cool down.
• Rub the hot plates with a damp cloth.
• Do not use scouring pads or steel wool as this may damage the surface of the appliance.
