Noise level parameters
According to EN 23748 for the acoustic power level or EN 31202 (error tolerance k3 calculated according to appendix A.2 for EN 31204) for the sound pressure level in a place of work based on the noise emission value based on the working conditions listed in ISO 7904 appendix A amount to the following:
Acoustic power level in dB
when idling Lwa = 105 dB(A)
in operation Lwa = 107 dB(A)
Sound pressure level on working site in dB
when idling Lwa = 95 dB(A)
in operation Lwa = 97 dB(A)
The values listed are emission values and do not necessarily correspond to the assured workplace values.
Although there is a correlation between emission and immission levels, this does not give a certain indication as to whether additional safety measures are necessary or not. Factors in a given
workplace can influence the immission level, such as the properties of the workroom, other noise sources, for example the number of machines and other kinds of work going on nearby. Reliable working values can vary from country to country. This information should nonetheless allow the user to evaluate dangers and risks.
