Assembly precautions

1. Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards.
2. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly and using.
3. Keep assembly area clean and well-lit.
4. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly.
5. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drug medication.

8. Assemble and use this product ONLY in accordance with these instructions for its intended purpose of bearing removal and bearing housing separation.
9. DO NOT overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
10. Maintain this product. Check for misalignment, binding, wear, or other damage before use. If any damage is detected, repair or replace the problematic components before further use.

OPERATION

Bearing Removal

1. Select the proper bearing separator jaw (D or H) for the bearing being re
2. Loosen the separator jaw nuts (C) sufficiently to allow the jaws to catch the bearing housing.
3. Use your wrench (not included) to evenly tighten the nuts until the jaws are

securely set behind the bearing housing.

1. Screw both extension screws (M & L or Q & P) into the bearing separately as shown.

ONLY use extensions screws of matching lengths.

1. Place the 6 inch yoke (F) over the extension screws and tightly secure v washers (O) and nuts (C).
2. Screw the lead screw (B) into the yoke until it touches the center of the where the bearings are mounted.
3. Using your wrench, turn the lead screw clockwise until the bearing housing begins to move off the shaft.
4. Continue turning the lead screw until the bearing housing is off the shaft.
5. Remove the lead screw by turning it counterclockwise.
6. Remove the bearing housing.

Bearing Housing Separation

1. Select the proper bearing separator jaw (D or H).
2. Loosen the separator jaw nuts sufficiently to allow the jaws to catch between each bearing housing.

3. Using a wrench, begin to tighten the nuts until the jaws are securely set between the bearing housings.

4. Screw in both extension screws (M & L or Q & P) as shown.

ONLY use extensions screws of matching lengths.

1. Continue tightening the nuts until the bearing housings are separated.

Tighten slowly and carefully to avoid overtightening the separator jaw nut which could damage the bearings.

MAINTENANCE

• Clean these tools with a clean moist cloth after each use. Do not use ca chemicals or harsh abrasives. Rinse entirely clean and allow time to dry completely before further use.
• Lubricate attachments as needed to ensure smooth operation.
• Replace components if their threading begins to wear and cannot be used smoothly and safely.
