1. Product Working Principle and Structure Introduction:

Working Principle:

The Power liftgate is an electric drive device that converts the rotational motion of the motor into the linear reciprocating motion of the push rod. The strut motor is controlled by the tailgate ECU controller module to achieve the up and down extension and retraction of the electric strut, thereby completing the lifting and lowering action of the tailgate.

3. Power liftgate installation steps (Porsche Panamera for example)

3.1 Remove the interior panel of the vehicle's tailgate.

3.2 Then, disconnect the power tailgate plug from the vehicle's connection point.

3.3 Using a flat-head screwdriver to remove the clips from the old tailgate, then install the new one. Use the same method for both sides.

3.4 After installing the new tailgate, reinstall the original panel.

- Carefully remove and store car parts to avoid scratching the dashboard. Clean up any wire fragments promptly and ensure connectors are well-insulated to prevent short circuits.

- Route the wiring according to the original vehicle layout. Secure each wire harness to avoid interference with moving parts such as the steering column, accelerator, and brake pedals.

  • Connect each wire harness following the original factory wiring scheme, paying attention to the grounding wire.
  • Do not replace wires or components while powered. ● After installation, manually close the tailgate to allow the system to initialize.
  • Ensure the tailgate is secured during the installation process to prevent it from falling and causing injury.
