PRECAUTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the radio is operated. The manual should be retained for future reference.
HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near liquids or in rooms with a high level of humidity.
VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation.
HEAT - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
POWER SOURCE - The radio should be connected to power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
POWER CORD PROTECTION - Power supply cord should be routed so that it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon/against them.
OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
SERVICING - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that describe in the user operating instructions. All the servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
Note: If the display does not function properly or no reaction to any control may due to the electrostatic discharge. Switch off, disconnect AC cord then turn the power back on after a few seconds.
POWER SOURCES
AC POWER: To power your radio, plug the AC/DC power adapter into into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage.
POWER ON
Press [POWER/VOLUME] (1) button to switch on radio. Rotate [POWER/VOLUME] (1) to set volume desired.
Power off: press [POWER/VOLUME] (1) button to switch off radio.
SOURCES
Pressing [FUNCTION] button (3) you can select: DAB, FM, CD, BLUETOOTH, USB and AUX IN.
NAVIGATE INTO THE MENU
Long press the [MENU] button (8) to access to the options;
Use the [SELECT] knob (10) to navigate into the options;
Press [SELECT] (10) to select the options;
Press [MENU] (8) to exit the menu.
DAB, You find:
Station list: list of stations received
Full scan: selecting this function, Radio search stations
Manual tune: search manually radio stations
Station order: you can chose Multiplex, alphanumeric or Active station order
DRC: This function reduces the differences between the loudes and quietest audio being broadcast. It makes quiet sounds comparatively louder, and loud sounds comparative quieter (only if offered by the provider).
PRUNE: Removes all invalid stations indicated in the station list with a “?” in front of the station name.
GENERAL SETTINGS
In "Main menu":
Time setup: to change manually time/date
Alarms: to set alarms
Sleep: to set sleep timer
EQ: you can chose flat, Rock, Classic, Jazz, Pop, Bass boost (16 on Remote control)
ANNOUNCEMENT: to receive important news (DAB)
Backlight: Timeout (always on or timeout seconds setting) and Level (from 0 to 8)
Language: You can chose preferred language
Factory reset: you can reset product to factory settings
SW version: version of software
CLOCK AND DATE SETTING
Press and hold [MENU/INFO] button (8), enter "Main menu" – "Time setup" - "Set time" (use [SELECT] knob (10) to select and confirm);
To set DATE/CLOCK, rotate [SELECT] knob (10) clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust Date and clock. Press [SELECT] knob (10) to confirm each operation.
To set auto update, select "Auto update", "From radio" Each step needs to be confirmed by pressing the [SELECT] knob (10).
Analog/digital clock in stand by: Power off product, long press [CLOCK] button (21) to change analog to digital and vice versa.
SETTING ALARMS
This unit can set two alarms.
Long press [ALARM] button (4). Rotate [SELECT] knob (10) to choose Alarm 1/Alarm 2. Confirm pressing [SELECT] knob (10).
Press [SELECT] knob (10) to confirm each operation.
You can chose OFF, Daily, Once, Weekdays or weekends. Confirm with [SELECT] knob (10).
To set time, rotate [SELECT] knob (10) clockwise or anticlockwise to adjust.
To set days, rotate [SELECT/SNOOZE/TUNE] knob (10) to select 4 modes among once, weekdays, weekends and daily.
To set modes, rotate [SELECT] knob (10) to select 3 outputs DAB, FM and Buzzer.
To set volume, rotate [SELECT] knob (10) clockwise or anticlockwise to increase or decrease the volume.
Press Confirm with [SELECT] knob (10) once to turn on the clock, press [SELECT] (10) button again to turn off the clock.
Press "Save" after all settings being done.
The Alarm symbol will be displayed on the LCD after it is successfully set.
You can set two alarms at the same time.
The alarm will ring 1 hour, you can press any button to terminate the alarm or press [SELECT] knob (10) to enter snooze mode, you can choose snooze time among 5/10/15/30 minutes by pressing [SNOOZE] button (10) repeatedly, stop when you are on the time you wish to set, the snooze time will be stored automatically. If you set 5 minutes snooze, after 5 minutes, alarm will ring again, press "Snooze" button again to keep on snoozing if needed. Only 1 alarm can enter Snooze mode.
SLEEP TIMER
Press [SLEEP] button (4) to enter sleep mode, sleep mode is defaulted off and "sleep timer" will be displayed on the LCD, press "Sleep" button again to turn on the "sleep timer", press [SLEEP] button (4) repeatedly to set sleep timer among 15/30/45/60/90/120 min, stop when you are on the timer you wish to set, the "sleep timer" will be stored automatically.
After the "sleep timer" is successfully set, sleep time will be displayed on the LCD.
DAB RADIO OPERATION
Switch to DAB mode
Press [SCAN] button (10) to activate a full station search. A progressive bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan. The stations scanned will be stored automatically when the scan is complete.
The first station available will be played automatically.
You can rotate [SELECT] knob (10) to switch among stations stored.
Rotate [SELECT] knob (10) clockwise or anticlockwise to seek for your favorite stations. Press [SELECT] button (10) to confirm.
PRESET STORE
To store a station preset, you must first tune to the station you wish to set as a preset. Then press [PRESET] (7) button to activate store function. "01. Empty-20.Empty" will be displayed on the screen, rotate [TUNE] knob (10) to scroll through the numbered preset locations (1-20), press and hold [TUNE] knob (10) to store the station. "Preset x Saved" will be shown on the screen to indicate after you store the station successfully. 20 stations can be stored in total. To tune to a preset DAB station, press "Preset", use [TUNE] knob (10) to scroll through the preset stations.
Press [TUNE] (10) button or wait a few seconds to confirm when you see the station you would like to listen. The radio will begin to play. If you have already saved a station in that preset position, the new selection will override the previous saved station. In DAB mode, press "INFO" button, the information such as DLS, station name, time and date, frequency, bit rate, signal quality will be displayed.
Note: For a better reception reorient the antenna (14).
FM RADIO OPERATION
Press [FUNCTION] button (3) and switch into FM mode.
To scan stations manually, rotate [SELECT/SNOOZE/TUNE] knob (10) to adjust stations by 0.05MHZ until you get your favorite stations.
To auto scan stations, short press [SCAN] (10) button to search stations, if station signal is available, scan will stop automatically and the radio will play this station.
Long press [SCAN] (10) button, it will activate a full station search. A progressive bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan. The stations scanned will be stored automatically when the scan is complete. Long press "Preset" button, you can rotate [SELECT] knob (10) to switch among stations stored.
To store a station preset, see PRESET STORE setting.
INFO
When the radio station is playing, press the [INFO] button (8) repeatedly to cycle through the information broadcasted by the radio.
CD-MP3 OPERATION
Select "CD" mode by turning the [FUNCTION] button (3);
Press [OPEN/CLOSE] (6) to open the CD DOOR and place a CD with the label up in the CD compartment.
Close the CD DOOR. Playback will start automatically from the first track.
Use [PLAY/PAUSE] (10) knob to play or pause CD/MP3. Rotaring [SELECT] (10) knob you can chose next/previous track. Press [PLAY] (10) to confirm.
MP3 Folder: you can change folder with 18/19 buttons on Remote control.
Pressing [P-MODE] (8) or [REP] button (17 on remote control) you can chose to RE-PEAT track: normal, single repeat, repeat all or shuffle.
USB OPERATION
Select "USB" mode by turning the [FUNCTION] knob (1);
Plug an USB stick into the [USB PORT] (3);
Playback will start automatically from the first track.
Press the [SELECT/SNOOZE/TUNE] knob (10) to choose play or pause.
Rotate [SELECT/SNOOZE/TUNE] knob (10) to play previous song or next song.
Press the [PRESET] (7) button to choose play modes: normal, single repeat, all repeat, shuffle.
BLUETOOTH OPERATION
Select "BT" mode by by turning the [FUNCTION] knob (3);
Connect your Bluetooth portable device to the ID Bluetooth tagged as "HRA-270CD+BT"; You can now transfer the music to the HRA-270CD+BT.
Note: Music control (play, pause, etc) can be setting by radio if device supports this function.
AUX-IN OPERATION
Use one male RCA to male 3.5mm jack cable (not included) to connect any external audio device to the [AUX-IN SOCKET] (12). Select “AUX” mode by turning the [FUNCTION] knob (3). Note: Music control (play, pause, etc) must be done from your external device.
