IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To prevent personal injury or property damage, read and follow all instructions and warnings.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding. Accessory parts may be contained within the packaging material. Before using, wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth then dry thoroughly. Operate the toaster the first time without any food in the toaster slots and with the browning control knob set to 6.

Note: The toaster must be plugged in for the toast lever to lock in place. This will eliminate any residual manufacturing oils.

USE

  • Unroll the power cord completely.
  • Check that power in the country where you are corresponds to that indicated on the appliance.
  • Connect the appliance in a correct socket-outlet, (and connected to the ground if the unit is Class I), to avoid any danger.
  • Disconnect the power source cable before any operation of cleaning of maintenance and accessories assembly.

- Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

- The item must not be left unattended when it is connected to main supply.

- The item is not to be used, if it has been dropped & if there are visible signs of damage

- Never modify the appliance in anyway.

- Do not use or keep this product outside when it is raining.

- Certain parts of the appliance can get hot. Do not touch them, as you may burn yourself.

- Place the bread slices in the slot (for the French bread, cut a loaf shorter than the slot, then cut it in two pieces along its length.). Your appliance is provided to receive French bread, but also pieces of toast or other bread slices if their thickness and their length are shorter than the slot.

Press down the bread carriage handle until it stops (in the same time, the grid inside the slot will tighten around the bread in order to keep it away from the heating wires). Then release the pressure and the handle will stay in the lower position, which means that the heating process has begun. If the handle comes up immediately, check if the appliance is plugged in as it blocks when the unit is plugged in.

You can adjust the browning intensity to obtain a more or less toasted bread by positioning the browning control selector to one of the degrees marked from 1 to 6. Therefore, you only have to turn clockwise to increase the intensity, and anticlockwise to decrease it. The higher the number is, the more toasted the bread will be.

When you use the burn warmer on the toaster, you need select the browning control below 2.

To use complementary functions:

After pressing down the bread carriage handle, push on:

- The Reheat button which allows you to reheat bread or to toasted bread.

- The Defrost button which allows you to toast the bread that has been frozen beforehand.

During the functioning, if you think that the bread is toasted enough or for another reason, you can stop the heating process, simply by pressing the cancel button.

Always unplug the appliance after use and let it cool down before handling or storing it.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the toaster is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down.

To remove bread crumbs slide the crumb tray situated on the side of the appliance.

Never use sharp objects to clean. Doing so could damage the appliance.

To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth.

All other maintenance and repair should be performed by a qualified technician.

STORAGE

-Ensure the unit is completely cool and dry.

-Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this will cause damage.

-Keep the appliance in a cool, dry place.

Use of the machine

Before using the machine for the first time: Rinse the inside kettle.

  1. Fill half of the tank of fresh water. (without addendum of any product).
  2. Put the switch on "ON" position? the light goes on, showing that water begins heating up.
  3. When boiling, the appliance goes out automatically
  4. Raise the kettle with circumspection and empty water in a sink by watching out not to splash (risk of scald).
  5. The device is ready to be used.

USING

Put the power base on a flat surface.

Fill the kettle with fresh water (without any additives.).

Note: Do not overfill! Use the water level indicator.

Place the cover

Place the kettle on the base.

Only connect the machine to a properly installed 220V\~60Hz safety socket.

(Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base)

Switch the machine to position "1". The control lamp on the kettle shows that the water is heating.

When boiling the machine switches off automatically.

Take the Kettle and pour genteelly the water in a sink.

Note: Take care to avoid any burn.

Do not press up the lid when pouring.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning switch off the appliance, always disconnect the device and to let it cool before cleaning.

Clean the outside of the device with a sponge or slightly wet linen.

The parts (removable) in contact with food like plate, forks, spatula etc. can be washed in hot water with sponge and soft detergent or put in the dishwasher.

Never plunge the device in water or all other liquid!

Do not use abrasive cleaners, gritting, or metal brush or another cutting object.
