Statusna lampica je aktivirana. Preporuča se prvo grijati prostoriju punom snagom, a zatim prebaciti na pola snage kako bi se regulirala željena temperatura.

• Ventilator radi istom brzinom na pola i punoj snazi; razlika je u broju aktivnih grijača.
• Kada se postigne željena temperatura, polako okrenite regulator termostata unazad dok ne čujete klik. Temperatura je sada postavljena.
• Grijalica s ventilatorom se automatski uključuje i isključuje kako bi regulirala zadanu temperaturu. Statusna lampica se gasi prilikom isključivanja. Za povećanje ili smanjenje temperature okrenite gumb termostata u smjeru kazaljke na satu ili suprotno od njega.
• Kako biste isključili grijač ventilatora, okrenite gumb za kontrolu snage u položaj OFF (O). Indikator signala se gasi. Imajte na umu da signalni zaslon pokazuje samo da li grijač radi, a ne da li je priključen na električnu mrežu ili ne.
  • Zatim izvadite utikač iz utičnice.

Intended use

This appliance is intended exclusively for heating living spaces in households and must not be used for any other purpose.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON SAFETY, STANDARD AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

1. Only use this appliance in accordance with the guidelines in the operating instructions. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer could result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.

2. This appliance is intended exclusively for heating living spaces in households and must not be used for any other purpose.

3. Remove the packaging and ensure that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your dealer.

4. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage correspond to the specifications on the appliance rating plate.

5. The electrical socket into which you connect the appliance must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed.

6. Avoid using an extension cable, as this could overheat and cause a fire.

7. If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre in order to avoid all possible risks. Do not twist or kink the power cable.

8. The appliance must not be installed directly under a wall socket. If in doubt, have your electrical installation checked by a qualified electrician.

9. It is prohibited to adapt or modify the properties of this appliance in any way whatsoever. Only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer (failure to do so may invalidate the warranty).
10. Do not use this heater if it shows visible signs of damage.
11. If you need to repair the appliance, the mains plug or the cable, always contact the manufacturer's authorised service centre.
12. This appliance may only be used by adults.
13. Children aged 3 years and under and younger than 8 years may only switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers, provided that the appliance is placed or installed in its normal position of use. Children aged 3 years and younger than 8 years must not insert the plug into the socket, regulate the appliance, clean the appliance and/or carry out user maintenance.
14. Do not operate the appliance unattended. If you leave the room, always switch off the appliance.
15. Do not use the device in small rooms where people are present who are unable to leave the room independently, unless they are constantly monitored.

16. Children must not play with the appliance. Children under the age of 3 must be kept away from the appliance unless they are constantly supervised.

21. This appliance is only intended for use in dry indoor areas.
22. Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of water or high humidity, e.g. in a damp cellar, next to a swimming pool, bathtub or shower. Ensure that no water can penetrate the appliance.
23. Do not use the appliance in the direct vicinity of petrol, gas, oil, alcohol or other explosive and highly flammable liquids or gases.
24. To reduce the risk of fire, keep the air outlet of the appliance at least one metre away from all highly flammable substances such as e.g:

a. pressurised vessels (e.g. spray containers)
b. Furniture
c. Textiles of any kind

1. Only use this heater on a horizontal and stable surface.
2. Never cover the appliance during operation and the cool-down phase.

3. Make sure that no objects touching the heating surface get between the appliance and the mounting wall.

4. Always switch off the appliance before disconnecting the mains plug.

5. Caution - Some parts of the product can become very hot and cause burns. Special care must be taken when children and vulnerable persons are present. Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning or dismantling it.

6. Unplug the appliance when not in use, before cleaning or when maintenance is required. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

7. Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shocks.

Protection class 2 devices are not connected to the protective conductor. Description of the device

Location and connection

• Remove all packaging material and keep it out of the reach of children. After unpacking, check the appliance for damage or signs of faults. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your dealer for inspection or replacement.
• Choose a suitable location for the fan heater that is at least one metre away from all obstacles, walls and flammable materials (see also the safety instructions).
• Ensure that the fan heater is always placed on a stable, level and horizontal surface.
• Check that the control knob is set to Off (O).
• Completely unwind the mains cable and insert the plug into a suitable 220-240V socket. To avoid overloading, do not connect any other devices to the same circuit.

Commissioning and function

• Set the thermostat control to the maximum setting (fully clockwise).
• Switch on the fan heater by turning the function control to one of the three positions.

Ventilation only (thermostat set to maximum)

II Heating at full power (2000 W)

The status light is activated. It is recommended that you first heat the room at full power and then switch to half power to regulate the desired temperature.

• The fan runs at the same speed at both half and full power; the difference lies in the number of active heating elements.
• As soon as the desired temperature is reached, slowly turn the thermostat control back until you hear a click. The temperature is now set.
• The fan heater switches on and off automatically to regulate the set temperature. The status light goes out when it switches off. To increase or decrease the temperature, turn the thermostat control clockwise or anticlockwise as required.
• To switch off the fan heater, turn the power control to the OFF position (O). The signal indicator goes out. Please note that the signal indicator only shows whether the fan heater is in operation and not whether it is connected to the mains or not.
• Then pull the plug out of the socket.

Protective devices

The fan heater is equipped with a tilt safety device that switches the appliance off if it falls over unexpectedly. If you then set it upright again, it will resume operation.

However, first switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket and check the fan heater for damage. If it is damaged or does not function properly, do not use it but take it to be checked/ repaired.

NOTE

The overheating protection switches the fan heater off if the appliance gets too hot!

This can happen if the fan heater does not emit enough heat or cannot draw in enough fresh air. As a rule, the causes include (partially) covering the fan heater, blockage of the intake and/or outlet grille, dirt, positioning too close to a wall, etc.

If the overheating protection switches the fan heater off, you must set the function controller to OFF (O), pull the plug out of the socket and give the fan heater the opportunity to cool down. Eliminate the cause of the overheating before putting the fan heater back into operation.

If you cannot find the cause of the overheating and the problem persists, stop using the fan heater and return it for inspection/repair.

Cleaning and maintenance

Keep the fan heater clean. Dust and dirt deposits in the appliance are one of the most common causes of overheating. You should therefore remove these regularly. Switch off the fan heater for cleaning or maintenance work, remove the plug from the socket and allow the fan heater to cool down.

• Clean the outside of the appliance regularly with a dry or very slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh soaps, sprays, cleaning or scouring agents, wax, polishing agents or other chemical solutions.
• Use a hoover to carefully remove dust and dirt from the grilles and check that the air inlets and outlets are clean. When cleaning, ensure that you do not touch or damage any internal parts.
• The fan heater does not contain any other parts that require maintenance.
• Put the fan heater away at the end of the season, if possible in its original packaging. Place it upright in a cool, dry and dust-free place.
• If the appliance needs to be disposed of at the end of its expected service life, it should not be disposed of with household waste. Take it to your local authority's designated collection point for electrical appliances, where care will be taken to ensure that any materials that can still be used are recycled.

With this quality product from SHX, you have made a decision in favour of innovation, durability and reliability.

This SHX device is guaranteed for 2 years from the date of purchase in Austria and Germany!

If, contrary to expectations, service work on your device should nevertheless be necessary during this period, we hereby guarantee you a free repair (spare parts and labour) or (at Schuss's discretion) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a time value credit note.

In any case, please contact the customer hotline as a first step (see instructions for use - "Contact addresses for further information and service line").

Please note that any repair work carried out by unauthorised workshops will immediately invalidate this warranty.

This guarantee does not cover

• Damage due to non-compliance with the operating instructions
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear
  • Devices that are used - even partially - for commercial purposes
  • Devices mechanically damaged by external influences (fall, impact, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of aesthetic wear and tear
  • Devices that have been handled improperly
  • Devices that have not been opened by our authorised service workshop
  • Unfulfilled consumer expectations
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, overvoltage
• Devices for which the type designation and/or serial number on the device has been changed, deleted, made illegible or removed
  • Defects due to extraordinary soiling

We would like to emphasise that within the warranty period, a lump sum of € 60 (indexed based on CPI 2015, June 2020) will be charged in the event of operating errors or if no error is detected.

The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute< warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year guarantee is only valid on presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the dealer as well as the complete appliance designation) and the corresponding guarantee certificate, on which the appliance type and the serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the appliance) must be noted! Without the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this guarantee and remain unaffected.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in the event of gross negligence or wilful intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but unrealised savings, consequential damage and damage arising from third-party claims is excluded.
