Frequently Asked Questions - RCSL 3/12 Royal Catering

What is the cooling temperature of the RCSL 3/12 machine?
The cooling temperature is between -2 and -3 °C, which provides an ideal granita consistency.
How many tanks does the RCSL 3/12 model have and what is their capacity?
The RCSL 3/12 model is equipped with 3 tanks. Each tank has a maximum capacity of 14 liters, with a recommended load of 5 to 10 liters to avoid overflow after freezing.
How to adjust the hardness of the granita?
Turn the hardness adjustment knob (located at the rear of the appliance) to the right to increase hardness, or to the left to reduce it. Each tank has its own knob. On some models, the value 0 disables cooling in the corresponding tank.
Can I leave the mixture in the machine overnight?
For hygiene reasons, it is not recommended to leave the mixture overnight. However, the first tank has a night mode (cold drink mode) that maintains the mixture at approximately 7 °C. Activate the freezing switch to cold drink mode and ensure the tank switches are turned on.
What type of liquid can I use in the machine?
Only use substances intended for the production of granita or cold drinks, ideally containing about 13% sugar. Do not pour unsuitable liquids to avoid damaging the appliance.
How to clean the RCSL 3/12 machine?
Unplug the appliance and let it return to room temperature. Empty the tanks via the tap, disassemble the tanks, agitators, seals and taps. Clean all parts with a mild detergent suitable for food surfaces, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Do not put the parts in the dishwasher.
How to prevent the agitator from jamming?
Do not overload the machine with ice. If the agitator stops turning (too much ice), turn off the appliance and wait for the ice to melt. Do not exceed the maximum loading capacity and be careful of volume increase after freezing.
What is the required electrical power?
The machine operates on 230 V~ / 50 Hz with a rated power of 980 W. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.
Where should I install the appliance?
Place the machine on a flat, stable, clean and dry surface. Leave at least 35 cm of free space on each side for proper ventilation. The ideal ambient temperature is between 25 and 32 °C with a relative humidity not exceeding 85%.
