2. General precautions

- This electric appliance must be installed, commissioned and serviced by qualified technician in accordance with regulations in the country of installation.

3. Specific Precautions

- The two warming plates could be very hot during and after operation, please do not touch them and only hold the glass decanter with its thermal insulated handle to avoid harmful to your hands.
4. Operation
1) Before use, carefully check if the appliance is without damage. Contact your supplier if you find damage or problem, and don't use the appliance.
2) Remove all packaging and protective material.
3) Place the appliance on a stable and level platform.
4) Leave sufficient space around the appliance for ventilation.
5) Place the paper filter on the funnel of the appliance.
6) Open the water entrance flip cover of the water reservoir.
7) Fill the glass container with 1.8L cold water and pour into the water reservoir.
8) Close the cover and leave the appliance for 1 minute to let the air come out.
9) Put the glass container on the warming plate under the funnel.
10) Connect the power plug to power socket.
11) Add 80-95 grams of coffee powder into the paper filter and slide the funnel into position.
12) Press the main power ON/OFF switch button, When the machine is ON, the main power switch button will appear blue colour.
13) Press the ON/OFF button to start brewing process, the switch button will appear red color during brewing process and return to blue color after the brewing process is completed.
14) When the red Indicator light turns blue, the brewing cycle is complete.
15) The bottom warming plate will remain function after brewing process completed.
16) Please remember to switch off if the glass container is removed.
17) When you pick up the glass container, remember to hold its handle hot surface is harmful to your hand, and avoid touching the warming plate.
18) Remove the residual coffee powder and filter paper from the funnel and prepare a new paper filter with coffee powder into the funnel ready for the next brew cycle.
ON/OFF switch button:
- Heat up the boiler when water is filled
- Turn on/off for the lower warming plate
Upper Warm Plate switch button:
- ON/OFF switch for the upper warm plate
Grounding of the appliance
This is a Class I electrical appliance which must be connected to a safety ground. This appliance has a power cord and electrical plug with ground wire and pin. The electrical plug must be plugged into an main socket installed with earth connection.
5. Maintenance
Cleaning
- Before cleaning, always remember to switch off, unplug the appliance, and let it cool down completely.
- You can clean the parts of the appliance, including the filter funnel, glass container, water tubes with mild detergent and by using a soft and damp cloth.
- Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, or chlorinated cleaners on the appliance.

Descaling
- When the appliance has been using for a certain period of time, water scale will build up and accumulated on the heating element and the path of the waterflow. You should clean up the water scale regularly to ensure the appliance can be operated at the optimum condition as well as to keep the taste and flavour of the coffee.
Steps of descaling:
1) Use de-scaling agent, lemon juice or cleaning vinegar for descaling.
2) If you use lemon juice or cleaning vinegar, please mix 1/3 of lemon juice or cleaning vinegar with 2/3 of water.
3) Put the filter funnel on the holder of the appliance.
4) Put an empty decanter under the filter funnel.
5) Pour the de-scaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution into the water reservoir.
6) Switch ON the appliance.
7) When the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution starts to pass through the appliance, switch the appliance OFF.
8) Leave the appliance for about 5 minutes to let the de-scaling agent or lemon juice solution on the cleaning vinegar solution dissolve the water scale in the appliance.
9) Switch ON the appliance again to release out the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution.
10) After the all the descaling agent or lemon juice solution or the cleaning vinegar solution has been released out, switch OFF the appliance again.
11) Put clean water into the water reservoir and repeat the brewing procedures until the no more odour and taste in the water.
Regular maintenance
