- This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
- Use the device only for the purposes described in this manual. Incorrect or improper use can damage the device and be dangerous for the user.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children, unless they are 8 years old or older and supervised. Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.

Children must not play with the device.
- The device is not intended to be used by children. Keep the appliance and its power cable out of the reach of children.
- Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before assembling or disassembling it or if it is not going to be used for a long period of time. Pull from the plug, not the cable, to disconnect it from the outlet.
- It is absolutely necessary to always keep the appliance clean, as it is in direct contact with food.
- Warning: Do not use the food slicer for more than 5 minutes at a time. The product is only intended for short-term operation. After an operating period of 5 minutes, allow to cool down for at least 30 minutes. Do not overload the product.
- Do not try to repair the device by yourself. In the event of a fault, repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors and always place it in a dry environment.
- Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the device rating label and that the plug is earthed.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before assembly, disassembly, or cleaning.
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before changing accessories or nearby parts that move during use.
- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
- Do not wash the appliance in the dishwasher.
- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the Technical Support Service of Cecotec or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.
- Do not carry the appliance by the cable. Make sure the cable is not trapped or stepped on. Do not wind the cable around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.
- Strictly follow the instructions in this manual to avoid injury or damage to the appliance.
- Be careful when handling the cutting disc, when using the appliance, and during cleaning.
- Do not use accessories not provided or suggested by Cecotec, as these could cause damage to the appliance or result in hazards.
- Do not place the appliance on unstable surfaces. Always place it on flat, dry, and stable surfaces.
- The appliance is designed for slicing cold cuts. Do not slice hard, frozen, plastic-wrapped, or foil-wrapped ingredients, bone-in meat, fruit with hard pits, etc.
- You can use the slicer to slice soft boneless meat, cheese, bread, or vegetables.
- The appliance must be used with the sliding plate and fixing element in place, unless it's not possible due to the size or shape of the food.
- Make sure that the disc is properly fixed to the appliance. The disc must always run at a constant speed and without rubbing against the structure.
- To push the ingredients against the cutting disc, use only the food pusher provided by Cecotec.
- Do not touch the rotary cutting disc.
- Be careful when handling the cutting disc, especially when removing it for cleaning.
- Do not use your hands to slice the food. Always use the carriage and guides, unless the size of the food to be cut prevents it. Never touch the cutting disc. If food gets stuck on the cutting disc, remove it with a plastic spatula. Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning it.
- Do not insert your fingers or any objects such as knives, forks, etc. in the area between the thickness regulator and the cutting disc.
- Make sure the cutting disc has come to a complete stop before removing the food.
- During operation, keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from the blade to avoid injury and damage to the product.
- Never use a damaged product! Disconnect the product from the mains and contact your supplier if it is damaged.

2. BEFORE USE
- This device is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
- Be sure to read all instructions carefully and retain them for future use.
- Wash all components that come into contact with food (cutting disc, carriage, food pusher, and thumb guard) with hot, soapy water. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
- Unwind the cable from the bottom of the slicer.
- Place the food pusher on the carriage before using the appliance.
- Move the food cutting tray (5) back and forth a few times to make sure that the movement is smooth.
- Select the desired cutting thickness by turning the adjustable thickness dial (9) (fig. 1) clockwise for a thin cut and anticlockwise for a thick cut. The thickness ranges from approximately 0 to 15 mm. Fig. 2

3. OPERATION
- The maximum size of food that can be cut is 110 x 100 x 90mm (length x width x thickness).
- If the blade (7) rotates slowly during cutting, the food may be too frozen. Allow the food to thaw before further cutting.
NOTE: Do not use the food slicer for more than 5 minutes at a time. The engine may overheat if used for a prolonged period of time. If this happens, turn off the operating switch (4) and let the slicer stand for 30 minutes before using it again.
- Connect the power cable to a plug socket.
- Place the food to be cut on the food cutting tray (5) and press the food pusher with safety guard (2) against the thickness guide (1). To prevent food from sticking to the appliance and to improve sliding, moisten or grease the cutting disc with absorbent paper or a cloth.
- Turn the adjustable thickness dial (9) to align the thickness guide (1) with the blade (7).
- Place a plate or bowl right next to the food slicer to gather the cut slices.
- Switch on the appliance using the button on the top.
- First bring the safety switch (3) towards you, then simultaneously press the operating switch (4) and the blade (7) will start to rotate.
- When the blade (7) starts to rotate, push the tray (5) towards the blade (7). Move the tray (5) back and forth firmly. Keep the food lightly pressed against the guide to obtain even slices.
- When you have finished cutting, turn the operating switch (4) on the top of the machine to the O position, switch off the machine and unplug it from the mains socket.
Warning!
- Do not use this product without the food pusher (2) and the food cutting tray (5) in place.
- The disc may continue to rotate after the device is switched off. Wait until it comes to a stop.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Do not wash any parts of the device in the dishwasher!
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scouring pads or sharp or metallic utensils to clean these parts.

- Disconnect the device from the mains.
- Before cleaning, always switch off the device, allow it to come to a complete stop and set the thickness selector to minimum.
- Clean the appliance after every use.
- Pull the food pusher (2) backwards as far as it can slide.
- Turn the blade holder (8) clockwise to unlock the blade (7). Then, remove the blade (7).
- Soak it in warm, soapy water for several minutes. Rinse and dry well.
- Clean the housing (6) of the appliance with a wet cloth.
- Dry all parts thoroughly before storage.
Warning!
The blade (7) is very sharp! Handle it with care.
Storage
- Store the appliance in a safe and dry place and keep it out of the reach of children.
- Keep the packaging for transporting the product or for storing it when it is not used for a long period of time.
