USER MANUAL BE1855 UFESA

Digital display of a UFSA digital balance scale with grid pattern and two side buttons (no text or symbols on the main body)

Read the instructions carefully before using the product. Keep them in a safe place for future reference.

• This device is intended solely for domestic use.
• Remove the batteries from the product if it is not going to be used for a long time.
• Keep this device out of the reach of children and people with disabilities.
• Do not move the device while it is in use.
• Do not exceed the weighing capacity of the device.
• Do not use the device with wet feet.
• Do not store the device in upright position.
• Do not store the device with cracked or broken glass.
• Improper use of the product may cause risks and revoke the guarantee and liability.

B&B TRENDS SL accepts no liability for any damage to people, animals or objects as a result of not observing these warnings.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

We would like to thank you for choosing UFESA. First check that the appliance is complete and undamaged. Contact the store where you purchased the product in the event of any doubt.

With your purchase you have acquired:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The safety instructions marked at the beginning of this manual must be followed at all times when using this device.

Follow the instructions below in order to switch on the device:

1. Remove the product from its original packaging taking special care not to damage any of its parts. Do not use excessive force to remove the product from the box.
2. Remove the cover of the battery on the back of the scale.
3. Insert the 2 AAA (LR03) charged batteries in the position indicated on the scale after removing the cover. Batteries not included.
4. Put the cover back on.
5. If the device is not to be used for a prolonged period of time, remove the batteries to prevent acid leaks from the battery.
6. If the message "Lo" is displayed, replace the batteries.
7. Place the device on a hard, rigid, flat, stable horizontal surface free of vibration.
8. Prepare the apparatus according to the unit weight. The factory settings use the units "kg" and "cm". To change the settings to "lb" or "st" and to "Ft:

in", proceed as follows: Switch on the scale by gently placing your feet on the glass surface. Press the down button until the required unit of weight is shown. The unit of height also changes automatically.

NORMAL WEIGHT MODE

1. Gently place your feet on the surface of the scale to start the device and wait for the symbol "0.0" to appear on the screen.
2. Stand in the centre of the platform and avoid sudden movements, keep still and do not touch other objects until the scale shows your weight. The user must wait while the weight is being calculated. The scale indicates that it has completed the weighing by flashing the final value three times.
3. To save energy, the device goes into sleep mode after several seconds of inactivity.
4. To return to normal operation, simply place your foot lightly on the platform and wait for the symbol "0.0" to appear on the screen.
5. Replace the unit in a safe and stable place.

WEIGHT MODE WITH COMPOSITION

INFORMATION

1. This product enables you to obtain information regarding the composition of your weight, indicating the values for body mass index, bone, muscle, water, etc.
2. A user must first be configured in order to obtain this information. This product has a memory capacity for up to 10 users. This memory stores data on the gender, age and height of the person, but not the measurements made with the product.
3. Press the SET button to configure a user. The corresponding user number will flash on the display. To change user number use the up/down buttons. Select the user confirming with SET button.
4. Then the icon to select the corresponding gender of the user will flash. To change user gender use the up/down buttons. Press SET again to confirm.
5. Then the text AGE will start to flash and you can select the required age. To select user age use the up/down buttons. Press SET again to confirm.
6. Finally you must select the corresponding height using the up/down buttons and indicate the height of the user in cm. Press SET to confirm and the configured values for this user will appear on the display. If you need to make any changes proceed in the same way as to create the user.
7. Once the user is stored in the memory of the scale with gender, age and height parameters, you must turn on the product by pressing the SET button and scrolling through the memories using the up / down buttons to the selected user to proceed to the reading. All data on gender, age and height are displayed on the screen and then "0.0" will be shown indicating that you can now start the weighing process.
8. Gently place your bare feet on the surface of the scale. You should ensure that your feet are in contact with the metal electrodes of the product surface.
9. Avoid sudden movements, keep still and do not touch other objects until the scale displays a stable weight.
10. It will then proceed to calculate the composition of your weight, which takes a few seconds. The values of BMI, fat, water (TBW), muscle, bone, Kcal will be displayed on screen after this calculation. Calories are shown on screen referring to the basal metabolic rate, i.e. the number of daily calories needed to maintain the basic functions of your body.
11. Get off the device only after the calculation of the composition has been completed.
12. The data will be displayed twice and then the scale will turn off.

Contraindications:

This product is for domestic use only and not for professional purposes. Children must be supervised by an adult to prevent them using the device as a toy.

This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or psychological capacities, or who lack the necessary experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.

Before using the appliance, contact your doctor if you are pregnant, or have a pacemaker, artificial limbs, electronic implants.

Repair:

Only specialized personnel should perform repairs to this electrical device. Any incorrectly performed repair can lead to considerable hazards for the user. In the event of repair, please always contact our aftersales service.

Failure to observe these instructions will lead to the total loss of the product warranty.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE:

Possible operating anomalies

INCIDENT CAUSE SOLUTION
The device does not work.	Device not switched on or battery inserted incorrectly.	Stand on the device, and wait until your weight is shown or press on it with your feet until “0.0” is shown on the display.Check that the batteries are inserted correctly, making sure the polarity is correct.
	The device is damaged.	Contact the UFESA technical service.
Error messages “EEEE”	Overload	This means that the maximum weight is exceeded.

PRODUCT CLEANING

This product can only be cleaned by hand, using a soft damp cloth and mild soap. The use of abrasive cleaning products or brushes, solvents, benzine, thinner or alcohol is completely prohibited. Never immerse the device or any of its parts in water or never moisten it excessively in order to clean it. Do not re-use the device until it is completely dry.

PRODUCT DISPOSAL

Do not dispose of the product in the litter at the end of its shelf-life. Contact the organic collection centre nearest to your home in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2012/19/EU to contribute to the protection of the environment.

Request detailed information regarding the current methods for disposing of packaging and used devices from your distributor.

This product complies with European Directive 2012/19/EU on electrical and electronic devices, known as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), which provides the legal framework applicable in the European Union for the disposal and reuse of waste electronic and electrical devices.

Do not dispose of this product in the bin, instead going to the electrical and electronic waste collection centre closest to your home.

The product may contain batteries. Remove them before disposing of the product and dispose in special containers approved for this purpose.

This symbol means you should be careful and that the product surface is slippery when wet.

B&B TRENDS, SL. guarantees compliance of this product for the use for which it is intended for a period of two years. In the case of breakdown during the term of this warranty, users are entitled to repair or else the replacement of the product at no charge if the former is unavailable, unless one of these options proves impossible to fulfill or is disproportionate. In this case, you can then opt for a reduction in price or cancellation of the sale, which must be dealt with directly with the sales vendor. This also covers replacement of spare parts provided that the product has been used according to

the recommendations specified in this manual for both cases, and has not been tampered with by any third party that is not authorised by B&B TRENDS, SL. The warranty will not cover any parts subject to wear and tear. This warranty does not affect your rights as a consumer in accordance with the provisions in Directive 1999/44/EC for member states of the European Union.

USE OF WARRANTY

Customers must contact a B&B TRENDS, SL., authorised Technical Service for repair of the product. Since any tampering of the same by anyone not authorised by B&B TRENDS, SL., or the careless or improper use of the same shall render this warranty null and void. The warranty must be fully completed and delivered along with the receipt or delivery docket for the effective exercise of rights under this warranty.

This warranty should be retained by the user as well as the invoice, receipt or the delivery docket to facilitate the exercise of these rights. For technical service and after-sales care outside the Spanish territory, please submit your query to the point of sale where you purchased the item.
