This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR PORT-ABLE FANS

  • Do not use the jobsite fan if switch does not turn on or off. A fan that cannot be controlled with the switch can be dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Disconnect the battery or adapter connection from fan or place the switch in the locked or off position before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the fan. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the fan accidentally.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use this fan near water, especially when it is powered by the power cord.
  • Keep the fan dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any strong solvents to clean the portable fan.   • Clean only with a dry cloth.

  • For general ventilating use only. Do not use to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY

a) Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circu- iting.
b) Protect the battery against heat, e. g., against continuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and moisture. Danger of explosion.
c) In case of damage and improper use of the battery, vapours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irritate the respiratory system.
d) Use the battery only in conjunction with your Vonroc product. This measure alone protects the battery against dangerous overload.
e) The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn, smoke, explode or overheat.

Intended use

Charge only CD801AA and CD803AA type rechargeable Battery packs with the charger. Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.

a) The appliance is not to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

b) Children being supervised not to play with the appliance.

c) Do not recharging non-rechargeable batteries!

d) During charging, batteries must be placed in the well ventilated area!

Intended use

The jobsite fan hybrid 20V is developed for general ventilation of most household spaces, except bathrooms and other damp areas. This fan is not suitable for industrial or professional use.

3. ASSEMBLY

Before any work on the power tool, remove the battery.

The battery must be charged before first use.

Always remove the battery before mounting an accessory.

  • Position the fan head (3) between the metal base (4) and tighten both position adjustment knobs (5) by turning them in a clockwise position.
  • Position the hanging hook (6) on the metal base (4) by clicking the hook on the base.

Installing and removing the AC adapter (Fig. C)

  1. Insert the small round plug of the AC adapter (8) into the AC adapter port (7).
  2. Insert the 220-230V plug on the adapter itself to an electrical outlet.

Inserting the battery into the machine (Fig. B, F)

Ensure that the exterior of the battery is clean and dry before connecting to the charger or machine.

  1. Insert the battery (9) into the base of the machine as shown in Fig. F.
  2. Push the battery further forward until it clicks into place.

Removing the battery from the machine (Fig. F)

  1. Push the battery unlock button (10).
  2. Pull the battery out of the machine like shown in Fig. F.

Checking the battery charging status (Fig. G)

  • To check the battery charge status, push the button (11) on battery shortly.
  • The battery has 3 lights indicating the charge level, the more lights that burn, the more charge the battery has left.
  • When the lights are not burning it means the battery is empty and must be charged immediately.

Charging the battery with the charger (Fig. G)

  1. Take the battery (9) from the machine.
  2. Turn the battery (9) to upside down position and slide it onto the charger (13) as shown in Fig. G.
  3. Push the battery until it is fully pushed into the slot.
  4. Plug the charger plug into an electrical outlet and wait for a while. The LED indicators on the charger (13) will lighten up and show the charger status.

The charger has 2 LED indicators (14) which indicate the status of the charging process:

After the battery is fully charged remove the charger plug from the outlet and remove the battery from the charger.

When the machine is not being used over a longer period of time it is best to store the battery in charged condition.

4. OPERATION

This machine can have its power supplied by using a battery (9) or by connecting the AC adapter (8). If the battery and AC adapter are connected simultaneously the fan will be powered by the AC adapter and the battery will not be charged.

Switching the machine on and off (Fig. A)

  1. To switch the fan on, press the switch button (1) and hold it for 2 seconds.
  2. To switch the fan off, press the switch button (1) and the fan stops immediately.

Wind speed adjustment (Fig. A)

The fan has 3 wind speed settings.

  • Push the speed adjustment button (2) to switch between the 3 speed settings. The wind speed increases when pressing the button and will return to the lowest setting when running at the highest speed.
  • If the fan is switched on it will always start at the lowest speed setting.

Head position adjustment (Fig. A, B)

- The fan head (3) can be positioned in a variety of positions, 360° all around. To adjust the fan head loosen the adjustment knobs (5) and position the fan head (3) in the desired position, and fasten the adjustment knobs (5) subsequently.

Hanging the jobsite fan (Fig. D, E)

  • The fan can be hung on the supplied hook (6), then place the fan head (5) in the desired position.
  • The fan can also be hung under a flat, horizontal surface. The metal base (4) should be hung upside down on a horizontal surface. Make sure the 3 rubber feet do rest stable on the surface.

5. MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning and maintenance, always switch off the machine and remove the battery pack from the machine.

Clean the machine casings regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Make sure that the ventilation openings are free of dust and dirt. Remove very persistent dirt using a soft cloth moistened with soapsuds. Do not use any solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, ammonia, etc. Chemicals such as these will damage the synthetic components.

The following circumstances are excluded from this guarantee:

  • Repairs and or alterations have been made or attempted to the machine by unauthorized service centers;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained;
  • Non-original spare parts have been used.

This constitutes the sole warranty made by company either expressed or implied. There are no other warranties expressed or implied which extend

beyond the face hereof, herein, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall VONROC be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. The dealers remedies shall be limited to repair or replacement of nonconforming units or parts.
