- Insert the main plug into the power socket.
-
Prepare the ingredients and spread them across the top of the trays. For small ingredients or ingredients that are expected to shrink significantly, use one of the mesh sheets provided as well. For liquid ingredients like fruit leather or meringue, use dehydration foil. Use the cereal bar mould to make cereal bars or fruit bars.
-
Place the trays in the machine. Make sure that there is enough air between both, the ingredients and the trays. Turn the trays horizontally by 180^ to adjust their height if necessary.
- Secure the lid into place.
- Press the "on/off" button to turn on the appliance.
-
Press the "set" button to adjust the timer. You can set the time from 60 minutes to 24 hours. Use the rotary switch to change the time in 30 minute increments.
-
Press the "set" button again to select the temperature. You can set the temperature in 5^ C increments, from 35 to 70^ C , via the rotary switch.
-
Press the "start/stop" button to confirm your selection and start the drying process. The flashing heating symbol indicates that Dora is heating up. You will know the operating temperature has been reached when the heating symbol stops flashing.
-
Depending on the type of ingredient and the duration of preparation, rotate the trays regularly from top to bottom during preparation in order to obtain a consistent result across all ingredients.
Find many tips for different ingredients and recipes in the recipe booklet.
Adjusting the height of the drying trays
The trays are height-adjustable, so
that you can easily dry flat and higher ingredients in your Dora. The trays have a special plug-in system: Turn them horizontally by 180° to change the height setting while they are mounted on another tray.

Cleaning and care

- The drying trays, the cereal bar moulds and the tongs can be cleaned in the
dishwasher. Place the shelves as upright as possible. If the shelves have warped slightly, don't worry, you can still stack and use them as normal.
- Clean Dora (and the lid) with a damp cloth and a small amount of detergent. Once clean, dry both parts carefully.
- Wipe the dehydration foil with a damp cloth and detergent.
• Make sure Dora and the accessories are completely dry before you store them away.
Trouble shooting
If the device does not work properly, please check the following steps:
- Check if the manual was followed precisely and correctly.
- Check the following table for possible reasons.
- Check if all fuses are working.
| problem solution | |
| The tray cannot be positioned properly. | Rotate the tray horizontally by 180°. The shelves have a designated top and bottom. |
| The ingredients are not drying evenly. | Make sure that the ingredients placed on each shelf are not overlapping. |
| Check that the ingredients are not obstructing air circulation. | |
| Occasionally rotate the trays from top to bottom during the drying process. This will ensure that you achieve the best possible results. | |
| My dried food turns brown after it has been prepared. | You can counteract discoloration with lemon juice, which should be drizzled on the ingredients before they dry. |
| The dried food is sticking to the trays. | Flip your ingredients from the tray 2-3 hours after the start of the programme, depending on the type of food and turn them over. |
| For fine ingredients such as herbs, use dehydration foil. |
