ASSEMBLY

CAUTION!

The fan should always be switched off and does not connect to the mains supply, if you are mounting the fan.

ASSEMBLY TELESCOPIC ROD HOLDER WITH STAND FEET

• Turn the locking lever (19) from the base of the Stand feet (15).
- Insert the lower end of the Stand feet on the round base (16). Place the stand feet weight (17) under the round base and connect all parts with the washer (18) and the locking lever (19).
• Make sure all parts are fixed connected to each other.
- Loosen the adjustable height knob (14) to adjust the Telescopic rod (13). Pull the Telescopic rod (13) Max. until it stops and tighten the Adjustable height knob firmly.

ATTENTION!

Adjustable height knob (13) must be fully fastened before start the assembly of the motor section with the stand

- Place the Motor housing (11) on the upper end of the Telescopic rod (13) and fix the Motor housing to Telescopic rod and the Mounting screw (23) and the Lock nut (24) and with the Setting screw (21) and the Adjusting

screw (20).

- The position of the fan head can be changed by loosing the Setting screw (20) and fixing again.

FAN HEAD ASSEMBLY

Before starting with this assembly, please check whether there is a protective plastic sleeve on the Motor shaft (8). Should it be present, remove it by pulling them forward. Loosen the four screws from the front of Motor housing (11) with screwdriver. Fig (2). Place the Rear grille (6) on the Motor shaft (8) and fasten the Rear grille onto the motor with four screws. Make sure the Rear grille fits securely against the Motor housing and the Handle (7) is at the top.

• Loosen the Securing screw (4) on the Fan blade (3). Slide the Fan blade onto the Motor shaft (8) with the shaft sleeve facing the motor.
• Align securing screw with flat groove in the motor shaft and tighten with screwdriver.
  • Ensure the Fan blade (3) is fixed on the Motor shaft (8).
• Remove the small securing screw from Front grille. Open the grill clamps of the Front grille (1) and set the Front grille (1) with the fixed holder to Rear grille (6).
• Mount Front grille (1) to the Rear grille (6) and fix both grilles with the claps. Use screwdriver for fixing the screw and the nut. See figure. Fig (4)

OPERATING

CAUTION!

Connect to the mains supply only after the fan has been fully assembled.

• Place the fan on a stable, flat, dry surface and look for a firm and secure stand.
  • Check the fan is switched off.
• Insert the plug of the fan into a suitable socket outlet. The fan is ready to operate.
• By setting the speed control buttons (9) the desired speed level can be selected:

0 OFF
I Low speed
II Middle speed
III High speed

OSCILLATION

When you push and pull the Oscillating control knob (10) you can switch the oscillating function ON or OFF.

ADJUSTMENTS

Caution:

The fan should always be switched off and disconnected from the mains supply when making this adjustment:

• To adjust the angle of the fan head, loosen the setting screw (20) and move the fan head to desired angle. Firmly tighten the knob to secure into the place.
- The height of the fan can be adjusted by loosening the Height adjusting knob (14), carefully raising or lowering the fan and firmly re-tightening the height adjustment knob.

SWITCH OFF THE FAN

• The fan is connected to the mains supply and ready to operate as long as it is plugged in.
  • To completely switch off the fan, turn the rotary knob to position ,0" (Off) and pull the power plug from the socket outlet.
  • Always disconnect the mains plug from the socket outlet when the fan is not in use.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

• Clean the device regularly.
  • Before cleaning, switch off the device and unplug the fan from the socket outlet. Never clean this appliance when it is plugged in!
• Do not immerse the device, power cord, plug or parts of the fan in water or other liquid or pour water or other liquid over the fan. Do not spray the fan with liquids!
• Do not allow any water or other liquid to enter the motor housing. Danger to life!
  • Take a soft dry cloth if you want to make the appliance free from dust and fluff.
• Keep the ventilation slots on the back of the motor housing free of dust and fluff.
• Do not use detergents, abrasive cleaning powder or polish of any part of the device, as these can damage the surface finish.
  • If you do not use the appliance any time you should safe the fan for exceeding dust and dirt.

WARRANTY

By purchasing a BECOOL quality product you have acquired an innovative, long lasting and reliable item.

For this BECOOL device we grant a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase, valid in Austria only.

In the unlikely event that service work is required on your device in this period we warrant free repair (spare parts and labour) or (subject to Schuss's decision) to replace the product. In the event that neither repair nor exchange make sense from an economical perspective we reserve the right to issue a credit based on current value. When dealing with air conditioning devices you should always contact the customer hotline first (see label on the device or the title page of the instruction manual), in case of fans contact your dealer or us directly. Please note that repair not performed by the authorised workshop in Austria immediately renders this warranty void.

This warranty does not include:

• Repair of replacement of parts due to normal wear
• Damage due to non-compliance with the instruction manual
• Devices that are used commercially – even in part
• Devices damaged by external forces (falling, impact, cracking, improper use etc.) as well as aesthetic wear
• Devices that have been used improperly
• Devices that were not opened by our authorised workshop.
- Damages caused by improperly closed condensation drains on air conditioning devices or improperly inserted water container.
• Unfulfilled customer expectations.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning and overvoltage.
• Devices on which type denomination and/or serial number on the device have been erased, rendered illegible or removed.
• Service work not performed by our authorised workshops, transport costs to an authorised workshop or us and back as well as associated risks.

Please note that within the warranty period we charge a flat rate of 60 € (indexed as per consumer price index 2010, June 2015) in case of operating errors or if no fault can be found.

The total warranty period of 2 years is not extended if warranty service is performed (repair or device replacement).

The 2 year warranty is only valid if the original invoice (must contain name and address of the dealer as well as full device name) and the respective warranty certificate are produced, on which the device type and serial number (can be found on the box and the device's rear or bottom) are to be noted! Only the statutory warranty coverage applies if the warranty certificate cannot be produced!

Please note that the statutory warranty coverage is not altered by this warranty and that it applies in full regardless.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents are only liable for damages in case of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but not incurred savings, consequential damages and damages from third party claims is excluded in any case. Damages to or for recorded data are always excluded from the liability for damages.
