Before using the unit, be sure to read all operating instructions carefully. Please note that these are general precautions and may not pertain to your unit.

  1. Read this Instruction Manual before you attempt to connect or operate the appliance.
  2. Keep these instructions in good condition. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
  3. Save this Instruction Manual for future reference.
  4. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product. Dry location use only.
  5. No naked flame source, such as candles, should be placed on the product.
  6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  7. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings.
  8. Only use accessories, which are specified by the manufacturer.
  9. Use replacement parts, which are specified by the manufacturer.
  10. Install the unit in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  11. Place the unit where there is good ventilation. Place the system on a flat, hard and stable surface. Do not expose to temperatures above 40^ C. Allow at least 10 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the unit and 5 cm from each side.
  12. Press the player's buttons gently. Pressing them too hard can damage the player.
  13. Dispose of used batteries in an environmental-responsible manner.
  14. Always ensure that the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before moving or cleaning. Clean it with dry cloth only.
  15. Turn off the product during lightning, storms or when it will not be used for long periods of time.
  16. This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the electronics repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
  17. NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit's casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
  18. Don't mount this product on a wall or ceiling.
  19. Do not place the unit near TVs, speakers and other objects that generate strong magnetic fields.
  20. Do not leave the unit unattended when it is in use.

UNPACKING THE DEVICE

When unpacking, ensure that the following elements are included:

1 x Mini Bluetooth® tower
1 x Micro USB charging cable
1 x Instruction manual
1 x 3.5mm AUX in cable

WARNING: All packaging materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this product and should be discarded.

POWER SOURCES

The Mini Bluetooth® tower operates with the micro USB charging cable (included) or with a USB type adaptor (not included) 5V, 1A. Input: 100 \~ 240V, 50/60 Hz.

Power supply

  1. Check that the unit is switched off.
  2. Insert the small end of the micro USB cable (included) into the micro USB charging port on the back of the unit.
  3. Connect the other end of the micro USB cable into the USB port of your powered computer or USB type power adaptor and connect it to a wall socket. The LED near the micro USB charging port lights up in red when the device is charging.
  4. Once loading complete the LED light will turn off.

Note: Please note that the micro USB cable can be used for battery charging only and not for data transfer.

The micro USB cable can be used for charging during playback.

WARNING:

  • Risk of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Please only replace it with an identical or a similar battery.
  • The battery should not be exposed to high temperatures, such as sunlight, fire or anything similar.
  • Significant electromagnetic interference or electrostatic discharges may cause the device to malfunction or lose data. If the device is not functioning correctly, switch it off and then on again, or unplug the USB cable.

TURNING THE UNIT ON AND OFF

  1. Slide the power switch on the rear of the unit to "ON" position to turn the unit on. Once the device is turned on, the LED lights around the speakers will start flashing to get you in the mood.
  2. Slide the key to "OFF" position to turn the unit off.

Note: In order to save the battery power, ensure the power key is in "OFF" position if the unit is not in use.

When the unit is left on, it still consumes energy.

WARNING: Significant electromagnetic interference or electrostatic discharges may cause the device to malfunction or lose data. If the device is not functioning correctly, switch it off and then on again, or unplug the USB cable.

SPEAKER FUNCTIONS

MODE

The Bluetooth® Sound Tower features four options: Bluetooth® USB, SD/MMC and AUX in.

  1. Press consecutively Mode button on the top panel to toggle between the four modes.
  2. Once the mode selected, the corresponding indicator will light up.

PLAY/ PAUSE

  1. Under Bluetooth®, USB and SD/MMC modes, press Play/Pause button to start playing audio files from your paired or connected device.
  2. Press this button again to pause. Press once more to resume.

PREVIOUS/NEXT

  1. Under Bluetooth®, USB and SD/MMC modes, press Previous/ Volume down button on the top panel to go back to the previous track.
  2. Press Next/ Volume up button on the top panel to play the next track.

VOLUME

  1. Under the four modes, press and hold Previous/Volume down button on the top panel to decrease the sound level.
  2. Press and hold Next/Volume up button on the top panel to increase the sound level.

CAUTION: Too high volume can damage your hearing. For this reason, please turn the volume down.

MUTE

  1. When listening to music under Bluetooth®, USB, SD/MMC and AUX in mode, press the mute button on the top panel to activate the mute function.
  2. Press it again to cancel the mute function.

USB port

  1. Power on the unit and insert a USB Flash Drive (not included) into the USB port, ensuring the plug is fully inserted in the correct way. Once inserted the USB indicator light will glow steadily.
  2. The tower will automatically start playing music from the USB.
  3. Press on Previous and Next buttons to select the desired music.
  4. Press Play/Pause button to play or pause the music. While pausing, the indicator light will flash.
  5. To stop the playback, press the Mode button or remove your USB Flash drive from the micro USB port.

SD/MMC card slot for playback

  1. Power on the unit and insert a SD/MMC card (not supplied) into the SD/MMC card slot, ensuring the plug is correctly inserted. Once inserted the SD/MMC indicator light will glow steadily.
  2. The tower will automatically start playing music from the SD/MMC card.
  3. Press Previous and Next buttons to select the desired music.
  4. Press Play/Pause button to play or pause the music. While pausing, the indicator light will flash.
  5. To stop the playback, press the Mode button or remove your SD/MMC card from the SD/MMC card slot.

Note: When USB and SD card inserted at the same time, the last one inserted will be played in priority. To toggle from USB to SD card and vice versa, press MODE button and select the USB or SD/MMC mode. Once selected, the corresponding LED indicator on the top panel will light up.

Aux in

You can also enjoy the music from the Sound Tower with the AUX in jack when connected to an external audio player.

  1. Turn the unit on, then press Mode button repeatedly until selecting the AUX in mode. Once selected, the AUX in indicator will light up.
  2. Insert one end of the AUX in cable (included) into your audio device and the other end into the AUX in jack at the rear of your speaker system.
  3. Press and hold Volume up and down buttons to adjust the volume of the speaker or control the volume functions from your audio player.
  4. To stop the playback, press the Mode button or remove the AUX in cable from the AUX in jack.

Note: When the speaker is in AUX IN mode, the PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons on the speaker are disabled. Please use the control buttons on your music player to get the best control experience of the music.

Microphone

With your Mini Bluetooth® Tower you can sing the songs by connecting a microphone (not included) to the unit under Aux in, Bluetooth®, USB or SD/MMC mode.

  1. Insert the end of your microphone cable to the microphone in jack on the back of the mini tower.
  2. Push the on/off interrupter to "ON" position to turn the unit on.
  3. Then press Mode button repeatedly until selecting the desired mode.
  4. Adjust the volume level of the microphone with the microphone volume control knob located on the back panel.

Note: The microphone has to be a 3.5mm condenser microphone.

Do not bring the microphone too close to the speakers as it may cause audio feedback (squealing noise) through the speakers.

Your audio player must support the A2DP Bluetooth® profile to match this Sound Tower. Please refer to your audio player's instruction manual for accurate information about the Bluetooth® profiles it supports, and how to set up Bluetooth® pairing.

LEXIBOOK BT600 - BLUETOOTH® SET UP - 1

Initial Pairing

  1. Turn the unit on, then press Mode button and select Bluetooth® mode. The blue indicator of the Bluetooth® mode will flash to indicate that Bluetooth® mode is effective.
  2. Activate the Bluetooth® function on your personal device and make sure it is in discoverable mode.
  3. Confirm pairing or select the Bluetooth® name "BT600" to connect your player to the speaker.
  4. If pairing is successful, the Bluetooth® light will stop flashing and glow steadily. You can play an audio or a video file. Adjust the sound volume level using the keys on your personal device or the volume buttons of the tower.
  5. To stop the connection with the speaker, press another mode on the top panel or a button on your audio player. Once the connection has been stopped, the LED indicator will flash.

Note: Some music players do not fully support Bluetooth® audio controls. Play/pause, previous and next buttons on the Bluetooth® speaker may not respond. The music player may also turn off. To get the best control experience in the said player, use the on-screen track controls of your music player rather than those on the speaker.

Re-pairing

When the Bluetooth® mode of the mini tower or your device has been switched off:

  1. Switch on the Bluetooth® of your audio player and press Mode button to select Bluetooth® mode.
  2. The mini tower automatically finds the last device it was paired with.

Notes:

  • The Bluetooth ^® tower only connects to one device at a time.
  • Make sure the effective distance between the Bluetooth ^ device and the tower speaker is within 10m.
  • Interference may occur during playback when using the Bluetooth® function near other wireless devices. If playback through Bluetooth® is problematic, move the Bluetooth® speaker and the playback device to a different location, or use the 3.5mm AUX IN jack instead of the Bluetooth® function.

MAINTENANCE

To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the power source when cleaning. The finish on your unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture. Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with plain, lukewarm water to clean the exterior of the unit. Use caution when cleaning and wiping the plastic parts. Mild soap and a damp cloth may be used on the front panel.

WARRANTY

This product is covered by our 2-years warranty.

For any claim under the warranty or after sale service, please contact your distributor and present a valid proof of purchase. Our warranty covers any manufacturing material and workmanship defect, with the exception of any deterioration arising from the non-observance of the instruction manual or from any careless action implemented on this item (such as dismantling, exposition to heat and humidity, etc.). It is recommended to keep the packaging for any further reference.
