ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS The toaster is a product designed for heating, toasting and defrosting sliced bread. Thanks to the smooth toasting level adjust- ment, you have a wide range of adjusting the operating parameters of the product to your needs. Proper, reliable and safe oper- ation of the product depends on appropriate use, that is why you should Read and keep the entire manual before the fi rst use of the product. The supplier shall not be held liable for any damage or injury resulting from improper use of the product, failure to observe the safety regulations and recommendations of this manual. Use of the product for purposes other than those for which it was intend- ed shall cause the loss of the user’s rights to the guarantee and under warranty. ACCESSORIES The product is supplied complete and does not require assembly. However, before using the product, remove all packaging and transport protection elements. Preparatory activities described later in this manual are also required.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The product has been designed for home use and is not allowed to be used in commercial applications, e.g. in catering facilities. The product is used for heat treatment of sliced bread without additives. It is recommended to use bread intended for toaster preparation. The product should not be used to prepare food other than bread without additives. It is forbidden to repair, disassemble or modify the product on one’s own. All repairs to the product must be carried out by an authorised service centre. The product must be kept under supervision at all times during operation. WARNING! The product heats up to high temperature during operation, do not touch the housing or metal parts during operation and immediately after operation as this may cause severe burns. The product is not intended for use by children under at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical and mental abilities and by persons without experience in or under- standing of the operation of the product. Unless they will be supervised or instructed to use the product safely, in a manner ensuring that the risks involved are understood. Children should not play with the product. Unattended children should not be allowed to perform the cleaning and maintenance of the appliance. Recommendations concerning transport and installation of the product The product may only be placed on a hard, fl at, level, non-fl ammable and resistant to high temperatures surface. The surface should be able to withstand the weight of the appliance itself and of the food placed on it. Ensure that there is a minimum distance of 10 cm around the side walls of the product, and do not place non-high temperature resistant materials above the product. This will allow for the proper ventilation of the product. Do not place near edges of, e.g. a table. Do not place the product near fl ammable materials, e.g. curtains or drapes. Do not place any electrical equipment above the product. During operation, water vapour is released, which can cause a short circuit in the electrical system and lead to electric shock. It is forbidden to drill any holes in the product, as well as making any other modifi cations10

ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS of the product not described in the manual. Move the product only when cooled down, grasping the housing. Do not move the product by pulling on the power cord. The temperature at the place of installation and use of the product must be within the range of +10

C, and the relative humidity must be below 90% without condensation. The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not expose it to precipitation or water in any form. Recommendations for connecting the product to the power supply Before connecting the product to the power supply, make sure that the voltage, frequency and performance of the power supply correspond to the values shown on the product’s rating plate. The plug must fi t into the outlet. It is forbidden to modify the plug or socket in any way for the purpose of fi tting. The product must be connected directly to a single socket of the power supply. It is forbidden to use extension cords, adapters or double sockets. The power supply circuit must be fi tted with a protective conductor and at least a 16 A protective device. Avoid contact of the power cord with sharp edges, hot objects or surfaces. During operation, the power cord must always be fully extended and the position of the power cord must be set so that it does not become an obstacle during product operation. The power cord shall not be placed in a manner that would pose a risk of tripping. The power supply socket should be located in a place where it is always possible to quickly remove the product power cord plug. Always pull the power cord by the plug housing when unplugging it, never by the cord. If the power cord or the plug is damaged, immediately disconnect it from the power supply and contact an authorised service centre of the manufacturer for replacement. Do not use the product with a damaged power cord or plug. The power cord or plug cannot be repaired and must be replaced with a new one that is free of defects if these components are damaged. Instructions for use WARNING! Metal parts and housing can be hot after use. Do not touch them, as it may cause severe burns. Allow product elements to cool down. Use gloves that protect against high temperatures if you need to move them before they cool down. Make sure that the fl oor near the place of use of the product is not slippery. This will prevent slipping, which can cause serious injuries. Do not place too thick bread slices inside the toaster. Contact of the bread with the product heater may lead to fi re. Observe the bread at all times and prevent it from burning during its preparation. Bread left unattended can burn, which can cause fi re and serious burns. If the product is equipped with a crumb tray, empty it at the frequency and in the manner specifi ed in the user manual. Never place bread or other products on top of the toaster. Bread can only be toasted inside the toast slot. Covering the top of the toaster can cause the toaster to overheat, which can damage the toaster and cause fi re and/or electrical shock. If the bread gets stuck inside the hot toast slot, it should not be removed with hands or metal11

ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS tools. In this case, disconnect the toaster from the power supply by unplugging the power cord from the socket. Allow the toaster and bread to cool down completely and then carefully remove the bread from the toast slot using hands or wooden tools. Be careful not to damage or deform the toaster components when removing bread. Always unplug the power cord plug from the socket after use. Do not store the appliance plugged into a socket. PRODUCT OPERATION Installation, start-up and operation of the product The product must be unpacked and all parts of the packaging removed. It is recommended to keep the packaging, as it can be helpful in further transporting and storing of the product. Clean the product according to the instructions specifi ed in the “Product maintenance” section. Make sure the power cord is completely unwound from the housing. Do not use the product with the power cord wound on the bottom of the housing. Place the toaster according to the instructions for installing it. Use the knob to adjust the toasting level. For the fi rst use, it is recommended to set the knob in the middle of the scale and after observing the eff ects of toasting, change the settings if necessary. Place the bread into at least one toast slot. Connect the toaster to the power supply. Press and lower the toaster push-down lever as far as it will go. If the lever remains in the lower position after releasing it, the toaster will start toasting. After the toaster has fi nished toasting, it will automatically stop the process and lift the prepared bread in the toast slots. The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the button marked “CANCEL”. The toaster has guides that keep the bread at the same distance from the heaters of the product during toasting. Thanks to this both sides of the bread are toasted with the same intensity and at the same time. After use, unplug the power cord from the socket. Allow the product to cool down completely and proceed with maintenance. The toaster can heat up a toast that has already been toasted without increasing the toasting level. After turning on the toaster as described above, press the button marked “REHEAT” and the button will be illuminated. Once the toaster has fi nished heating, it will automatically stop the process and lift the prepared bread in the toast slots. The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the button marked “CANCEL”. The toaster can defrost and heat up the toast. After turning on the toaster as described above, press the button marked “DE- FROST” and the button will be illuminated. Once the toaster has fi nished heating, it will automatically stop the process and lift the prepared bread in the toast slots. The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the button marked “CANCEL”. WARNING! During and immediately after operation: the housing and metal parts heat up to a high temperature. Caution must be maintained. Contact with hot product parts can lead to serious burns. Product maintenance CAUTION! All maintenance works must be carried out with the product switched off . To do this, unplug the power cord from the socket. CAUTION! Never immerse the product in water or any other liquid. The product cannot be cleaned under running water, high-pres- sure water jet or in a dishwasher. CAUTION! Allow all parts of the product to cool down completely before carrying out maintenance work. At the bottom of the toaster housing there is an extendible crumb tray. Remove and clean the tray after each use of the toaster. Depending on the model, the tray is extended or pressed and then released and extended (II). Clean the tray under a stream of running water with a small amount of dishwashing liquid, then dry and insert it into the slot in the toaster housing. Do not clean the crumb trays in a dishwasher or with a high-pressure water jet. Clean the toaster housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then wipe dry. Clean the inside of the toaster by turning it upside down with the slots downwards and shake the crumbs, slightly rinsing the bottom. Do not use abrasive, caustic, alcohol, solvents, etc. cleaning agents for toaster maintenance. Product storage and transport The lower housing of the product allows the power cord to be woven for storage (III). During storage, keep the product indoors in closed rooms, and make sure it is not exposed to dust, dirt, or moisture. It is recom-12

Do not place anything on the product during storage. Transport the product in its original packaging. Protect against excessive shocks during transportation.
