USER MANUAL 13495 Eufab

1x Pocket torch with 24 SMDs and 3 LEDs 3 x batteries, alkaline manganese 1.5 V

1. PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT

The pocket torch acts as a mobile source of light at home, in the event of vehicle breakdowns, for leisure or camping activities. The torch is spray-water-protected but may not be submerged in water. The product is designed for use with batteries (the appropriate battery type is detailed in section 3. Specications). This device is not designed to be used by children or persons with limited metal abilities or without experience and/or lack of required specialist knowledge. Keep children away from the device. The device is not designated for commercial use. Use according to the intended purpose also includes the observance of all information in these operating instructions, particularly the observance of the safety notes. Any other utilisation is considered to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead to material damages or personal injuries. EAL GmbH assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use.

  • Keep children away and do not allow children to operate this device!
  • Only use this product as intended!
  • Do not manipulate or dismantle the device!
  • For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are stated in these instructions or that are recommended by the manufacturer!
  • Do not expose the pocket torch to high temperatures, extreme damp or severe vibrations.
  • Never look directly into the light source and never direct the beam of light onto people or animals. The LED light may result in injuries to the eyes.
  • Never look at the light source using optical instruments. The LED light may result in injuries to the eyes.
  • Leaking or damaged batteries may cause acid burns on contact with skin. For this reason, always use suitable protective gloves.
  • Only use batteries of the correct size and right type (see section 3. Specications).
  • Always simultaneously replace all batteries. Mixing new and old, used batteries may resulting in leaking batteries and cause damage to the torch.

6.2 INSERTING THE BATTERIES

Fold the xture hook (Position 6 in the overview) backwards, (Position 9 in the overview). Open the battery compartment using a small screwdriver inserted behind the catch of the lid Figure 2 to gently push the catch in the direction of the xture magnet (Position 5 in the overview). Once the catch has been released you can lift the battery compartment lid at this side and then remove (Position 8 in the overview). Insert the batteries into the compartment (Position 7 in the overview). Make sure you pay attention to the correct po- ling, the position is marked on the base of the battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment lid and push down until the catch locks into position. Figure 2: Opening the battery compartment

Do not dispose of electrical devices with the household waste! Electrical and electronic scrap must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner for recycling. Please contact your community or city administration regarding disposal options for electrical and electronic scrap. At the end of their lifetime, used batteries and battery packs are not to be disposed of in the household waste - or negligently in the environment. Hand in used device batteries/battery packs to the collection points at the store (dealer). This makes a considerable contribution towards protecting our environment. Some communities may also collect used batteries/battery packs via mobile stations or recycling centres.

Clean the torch with a dry, soft cloth only. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or solvent-based cleaners. Never allow liquids to ingress into the torch. In the event of a long-period of non-use, remove the batteries from the compartment.

The torch is maintenance-free when used in accordance with the intended purpose.

In order to be able to use the torch and still have your hands free, you may

1. hang it by the rotating xture hook (Position 9 in the overview), e. g. to a tent pole, or

2. secure using the xture magnet (Position 5 in the overview) to a smooth, magnetic surface. Pay attention to ensure

that the surface, for example, the paint job of the car, is not damaged.
