How do I descale my Moulinex SUBITO FG360D10 coffee maker?

Descale every 40 cycles. Use a descaling sachet diluted in 2 large cups of water or 2 large cups of white vinegar. Pour into the tank, run one cup, stop for 1 hour, then finish the cycle. Rinse 2 to 3 times with fresh water.

Can I use ground coffee in the coffee maker?

Yes, use a paper filter #2 or #4, or the supplied permanent filter. Do not exceed the maximum water level indicated.

How do I use the thermal jug?

Rinse it with hot water before use. Lock the lid firmly to the right until it stops. To pour, press the lever or unscrew 1/2 turn to the left. Do not put in the microwave or dishwasher.

What should I do if the coffee is too weak?

Use the aroma selector (fig.7): turn it towards the black cup for stronger coffee. Also check the dosage: one level scoop per large cup.

How do I clean the carafe and thermal jug?

The glass carafe without metal parts can go in the dishwasher (without lid). The thermal jug should be cleaned by hand: fill with warm water and dish soap, rinse thoroughly. For stubborn stains, add a dishwasher tablet and let soak.

What types of filters are compatible?

Paper filters #2 or #4, and the supplied reusable permanent filter. The filter holder is dishwasher-safe.

Can I brew two coffees in a row?

Wait a few minutes before a second brew. Do not pour water into the tank if the carafe already contains coffee.

How can I avoid overflow?

Always put the carafe or thermal jug back after serving, otherwise the anti-drip system may overflow if the tank is not emptied.

What should I do if the power cord is damaged?

Do not use the appliance anymore. Have the cord replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or an authorized repairer.

Can I use the coffee maker with an ungrounded outlet?

No, the appliance requires grounding. Any connection error voids the warranty.

The warming plate is very hot when the appliance is in use.
- Never place your hand on the warming plate while the coffee maker is in operation.
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before you clean and store it.
- Never insert your hand inside the thermal pot.
- Do not use the jug or thermal pot without their lids.
- Do not use the jug or thermal pot on a flame or electric hob.
- Do not put water into the appliance when it is still warm.
Always close the lid (a) when the coffeemaker is in operation.
- All appliances are subject to rigorous quality inspection. Practical tests using appliances taken at random are conducted and this may explain any possible traces of use.
- The glass jug without a metal part is microwave and dishwasher safe (ATTENTION: the thermal pot must not be placed in the microwave or dishwasher).
- The power cord must never be close to or in contact with hot parts of the appliance, close to a source of heat or resting on sharp edges.
- Never place the appliance close to a wall or below a wall cupboard. The steam could cause damage.
- Never place the appliance below or close to easily inflammable objects (e.g. curtains, etc.).
After switching on your coffee maker, never put your hand on the warming plate when you are removing the jug from the coffee maker. While in operation, this plate has a very high temperature, which could cause burns.

Before using for the first time

• Use your filter coffee maker without coffeem the first time using the equivalent of a jug of water to rinse your coffee maker.

Preparing the coffee

(Follow figures 1 to 9)

• Use only cold water and filter paper n'2 or 4 (fig.5) or the permanent filter* (fig.4).

• Do not exceed the maximum quantity of water indicated by the water level on the tank.

• This coffee maker has a drip stop so that you can serve coffee before the end of the cycle. Once your coffee is served, replace the jug or thermal pot* to prevent overflowing.
  Ground Coffee: Use one measuring spoon of ground coffee per large cup.

• Wait a few minutes before making a second pot of coffee.
• Do not make another pot of coffee if the jug already contains coffee.

Thermal pot*

• Do not use the thermal pot without its lid.
• The thermal pot lid must be closed tightly all the way to the right to prepare the coffee and keep it warm.
  To serve the coffee, press the lever on the lid of the thermal pot downwards or unscrew the lid half a turn to the left*
• Do not put your thermal pot in the microwave or dishwasher.
• Rinse the thermal pot in hot water before using so that it retains heat better and do not put it back inside the coffee maker after you have prepared the coffee.
• The thermal pot keeps your coffee warm for four hours maximum.

Aroma selector* (see figure n°7)

• The aroma selector (fig.7) allows you to adjust the intensity of the coffee.
  For a stronger coffee, turn the aroma selector to the black cup.

Reheating the coffee

• Do not put the glass jug into the microwave if it has a metallic part (e.g.: metal band).

Cleaning

• To dispose of the used coffee grounds, remove the filter paper (fig.5) or permanent filter* (fig.4).
• Unplug and let the coffee maker cool down.
• Clean with a cloth or wet sponge.
• Do not clean the appliance when it is still hot.
• Never immerse the appliance, the power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

Dishwasher:

• The removable filter holder is dishwasher safe.
  Only glass jugs without a metal band can be placed in the dishwasher (without lid).

Thermal jug*

• Do not clean with abrasive cleaning products.
• Do not put your hand inside to clean (risk of breaks).
  To clean your Thermal jug, fill it with soapy water and then rinse out thoroughly.
• In cases where the jug becomes very stained by the coffee, fill it with lukewarm water, add a dishwasher detergent tablet and let it soak. Afterwards, rinse out thoroughly.

Dscaling

• Descale your coffee maker every 40 uses.
  You can use:

• a sachet of descending agent diluted in two large cups of water;
  -or two large cups of commercially available white vinegar.

• Pour into the tank (b) and turn on the coffee maker (without coffee).

• Allow the equivalent of one cup flow into the jug or thermal pot (f) then stop your coffee maker (you will have to turn off the coffee maker on some automatic models).
• Allow to act for one hour.
• Restart the coffee maker to stop the flow.
• Run the coffee maker two or three times with the equivalent of one jug of water to rinse.

The guarantee excludes coffee makers that are not working or are not working properly due to lack of descending.
