Frequently Asked Questions - FUBE50015 ABUS

What is the range of the FUBE50015 remote control?
In free field, the range is approximately 200 meters. Indoors, it depends on environmental conditions (materials, obstacles, etc.).
What type of battery does the remote control use and how do I replace it?
The remote control uses a CR2450 battery (3V lithium). Open the compartment, insert the battery respecting polarity, then close. All LEDs flash briefly to confirm correct operation.
How do I know if the battery is low?
When the voltage drops below 2.4 V, the system emits a 'Low battery' alert. Replace the battery promptly.
Is the remote control compatible with all ABUS systems?
It is specifically designed for Secvest FUAA50xxx and FU800x systems. It can also work with 868 MHz transceivers in the Secvest range.
What is rolling code technology?
Rolling code is a security technology that changes the code with each use, preventing interception or cloning. It is enabled by default and can be disabled for compatibility with older models.
How do I disable rolling code?
Refer to the manual (pages 61 and following) for the switching procedure. Once disabled, the remote control operates like a FU8100 or FUBE50010-13.
What do the LEDs on the remote control mean?
The 8 LEDs indicate system status: activation, deactivation, alarm, etc. The top two LEDs also display the software version: red for the major version, green for the minor version.
How do I check the software version of the remote control?
When inserting the battery or pressing a key combination, the top two LEDs flash: red for the major version, green for the minor version.
Can I use the remote control outdoors?
The remote control is not waterproof. Avoid direct contact with water or excessive humidity. Use under normal conditions (temperature -10°C to +40°C, humidity ≤75%).
How do I dispose of the remote control at end of life?
Do not dispose of it with household waste. In accordance with WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, take it to an electronic waste collection point. The battery must be removed and recycled separately.

PEACE OF MIND AND SECURITY – THANKS TO THE ROLLING CODE

This remote control works using secure rolling code technology to provide optimum protection against code scanning and code grabbing in order to prevent unauthorised access.

We are constantly developing our product range in order to provide our customers with optimal, safe products incorporating state-of-the-art technology. We have used this new software to implement a rolling code procedure and optimise processes

The rolling code procedure is compatible with all Secvest FUAA50xxx.

The rolling code procedure can also be switched off. The remote control then functions like an FU8100 or FUBE50010-13. This remote control is therefore then compatible with Secvest FU8000 and also with FUAA50xxx.

Details on switching can be found in this manual starting on page 61.
