Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.

  • This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not disassemble the appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts.
  • This appliance is for household use only.
  • Never clean the tank with abrasive or corrosive materials.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains before filling up the tank. Fill the tank up to the limit level only.
  • Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only. Avoid touching the power cord with wet hands.
  • Only use the appliance when the tank is filled with water. Never fill the tank with flammable or combustible materials.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
  • Keep the appliance away from heat sources such as radiators. Operate only on a dry and level surface.

1. Install the appliance on a non-slippery and flat surface.

2. Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the mains.

3. Pull and lift the filter cover on the front of the housing. Remove the (old) filter and

check if it is clean.AIRPD001

4. Remove the new filter from its packaging or take the clean filter and insert it in the

the housing [1] and click into place [2].

  • Ensure the filter handle sits on the outside when the filter is installed.
  • Only replace the filter with a similar filter (Velleman order code AIRPD001SP).

6. Connect the appliance to the mains and switch on the appliance. Press and hold

the purification button to reset.

Press this button to start the purification process. The LED will burn. Press again to stop. The LED will switch off.

Press this button to select the low/high mode for the purification process. The corresponding LED will burn.

1. Switch off the appliance and unplug from the mains.

2. Do not leave water in the tank. Pour the remaining water from the tank and dry

How to Empty the Tank

1. The tank has a maximum capacity of 1000 ml. To empty the tank, switch off the

appliance and disconnect from the mains.

2. Take the tank out of the appliance, open it carefully and pour out the water. Take

care not to damage the float.

3. Clean the tank with a dry cloth and re-install the tank in the appliance.

4. Re-connect the appliance to the mains, switch it on and reset.

  • When the water tank is full, the appliance will automatically switch off and the LED will flash red. In that case, empty the tank and restart the appliance if desired.
  • The air purifier LED will flash orange when the filter needs replacing. Please refer to the paragraph above on how to replace the filter.
  • The ideal ambient operating temperature for this appliance should be between 5 °C and 50 °C.

6. Care and Maintenance

Before starting any cleaning or maintenance activities:

1. Unplug the appliance from the mains.

2. Let the appliance cool down.

  • Wipe all exterior surfaces of the appliance clean with a soft cloth dampened with a soap and water solution. Do not immerse or submerge any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never use solvents or cleaning agents containing petroleum (petrol, kerosene, oil), paint thinner, turpentine, alcohol, or ammonia.
  • Wipe the interior of the tank clean with a soft cloth dampened with a soap and water solution.
  • Never clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner or wash it directly.
  • The appliance does not need any maintenance apart from descaling. To do so, weekly wipe the tank with undiluted white vinegar to remove the scales, rinse with fresh water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
  • To sanitize the appliance, fill the tank with white vinegar, let the vinegar sit for 20 minutes, rinse with fresh water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
  • Store the appliance and its accessories in its original package in a clean and dry area.AIRPD001

  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
