Frequently Asked Questions - 57511 HYUNDAI

How to start the high-pressure cleaner?
Fully open the water tap, press the trigger to purge air, then turn on the machine with the switch to ON/I.
What to do if the pump does not reach the required pressure?
Check that the inlet filter is not clogged, that the connections are tight (no air entry), and that the nozzle is not blocked. Clean the filter and nozzle if necessary.
How to clean the nozzle?
Make sure the machine is off and the tap is closed. Use the cleaning pin provided to unclog the nozzle opening.
Why does the device not start?
Possible causes: residual pressure (press the trigger), plug not connected properly, extension cord too long, voltage too low, or thermal protection triggered (let it cool down).
How to use the soap tank?
Unscrew the cap, pour a suitable cleaning product (pH 6-8), then screw back. Use it only when the machine is off and the tap is closed. To dispense, remove the nozzle and press the trigger.
What safety precautions to observe?
Wear goggles, hearing protection and gloves. Never direct the jet at people, animals, the machine, or electrical sources. Use a 30 mA residual current circuit breaker.
How to assemble the patio cleaner?
Tighten the bayonet of the patio cleaner into the lance socket. Make sure the machine is unplugged and depressurized before assembly or disassembly.
What to do in case of overheating?
The thermal protection automatically stops the machine. Let the motor cool down. To avoid it, use original accessories and clean the nozzle regularly.
How to store the device for a long period?
Before storage (more than 3 months), let the pump suck in some antifreeze to prevent freezing and oxidation. Clean the filter and store in a dry, ventilated place.
What voltage and power are required?
The device operates on a 230 V~, 50 Hz socket with a power of 2,200 W. Use a suitable extension cord protected by a residual current circuit breaker.

  • Screw the coupling nut (131) to the one end of the high-pressure hose (14) onto the connection (15) on the pistol grip (5).
  • Tighten the coupling nuts firmly.

Connecting to the water supply

  • Remove the protective cap.
  • Connect a garden hose which has been connected to the water mains directly or via a reducing nipple to the connection (3).

Adding a cleaning agent (fig. A)

HYUNDAI 57511 - Adding a cleaning agent (fig. A) - 1

Only use cleaning agents that are suitable for use with a high-pressure cleaner.

  • Unscrew the reservoir cap (10) and pour a measured amount of cleaning agent into the reservoir.
  • Replace the cap and tighten it securely.

HYUNDAI 57511 - Adding a cleaning agent (fig. A) - 2

Instructions for use

  • Fully open the tap of the water mains before switching on the machine.
  • Hold the trigger of the pistol grip until all air is released from the hose.
  • As soon as water starts flowing out of the nozzle, release the trigger and switch on the machine.
    • Take hold of the pistol grip and move the lance evenly along the surface to be cleaned.
  • Direct the nozzle as required in order to achieve optimal cleaning results. Determining the correct distance for the water jet is a matter of experience.
  • Close the tap of the water mains after having switched off the machine.
  • Hold the trigger of the pistol grip until the pressure is off the system.
  • Lock the trigger using the safety catch.

HYUNDAI 57511 - Instructions for use - 1

Never let the machine run idle for more than 2 minutes. Within that period the temperature of the water in the system can become so high that the pump will be damaged beyond repair.

Switching on and off (fig. A)

  • To switch the machine on, set the on/off switch (1) to 'ON/I'.
  • To switch the machine off, set the on/off switch (1) to 'OFF/0'.

HYUNDAI 57511 - Switching on and off (fig. A) - 1

Auto-stop

The auto-stop switch avoids that the maximum operating pressure is exceeded. When releasing the trigger of the pistol grip, the auto-stop switch switches off the pump and the water jet stops spraying. When pressing the trigger of the pistol grip, the auto-stop switch switches on the pump again.

HYUNDAI 57511 - Auto-stop - 1

Allow no part of the body anywhere near the rotor when the high-pressure cleaner is switched on.

Assembling the patio cleaner

HYUNDAI 57511 - Assembling the patio cleaner - 1

Overheating protection

The machine has been fitted with a thermal protection. In case of overheating, the machine switches off automatically. After the motor has cooled down the machine automatically switches on again.

HYUNDAI 57511 - Overheating protection - 1

Before connecting or removing the patio cleaner, always remove the mains plug of the high-pressure cleaner from the socket and make sure that the pressure is released from the system.

HYUNDAI 57511 - Overheating protection - 2

Always use the original lance and hoses to decrease the risk of overheating.

Instructions for use

HYUNDAI 57511 - Instructions for use - 1

Clean the nozzle using the cleaning pin to decrease the risk of overheating.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The machine does not require any special maintenance.

  • Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
  • If the machine is not used for a longer period of time (3 months or more) or if it is stored in an unheated area, then let the motor before storage suck some anti-freeze to prevent the risk of freezing and oxidation.

Cleaning the inlet filter

Before use always check the inlet filter and clean it if necessary.

  • Use your fingers to remove the filter from the connection. Beware not to damage the filter.
  • Use your fingers to re-install the filter.
  • Check whether the filter has been placed into the connection correctly.

Cleaning the nozzle (fig. F)
