8. Attachment / Before start-

ing the equipment Installation of a suction line

  • Screw a suction hose (plastic hose min. 19 mm (3/4”) directly or with a threaded nipple, approx. 30,75 mm (G1”), to the suction line connection on the pump.
  • Lay the suction line from the water pick- up point to the pump in a continuous- ly rising slope. Ensure that the suction line is not laid above the pump height; air bubbles in the suction line delay and prevent the suction process.
  • The suction and pressure lines must be installed in such a way that they do not exert any mechanical pressure on the pump.
  • The suction valve should be located deep enough in the water to prevent the pump from running dry if the water lev- el drops.
  • A leaking suction line will prevent the water from being sucked in due to air ingress.
  • Avoid sucking in foreign bodies (sand etc.). Installation of a pressure line
  • The pressure line (should be at least 19 mm (3/4”)) must be connected directly or via a threaded nipple approx. 30,75 mm (G1”) to the pressure line connec- tion on the pump.
  • During the suction process the shut-o󰀨 devices (spray nozzles, valves etc.) in the delivery line must be fully opened to allow the air in the suction line to es- cape freely. Noise m Warning: Noise can have serious ef- fects on your health. If the machine noise exceeds 85 dB (A), please wear suitable hearing protection. Noise data Sound power level L

Open the packaging and remove the de- vice carefully. Remove the packaging material as well as the packaging and transport bracing (if available). Check that the delivery is complete. Check the device and accessory parts for transport damage. In case of complaints the dealer must be informed immediate- ly. Subsequent complaints will not be ac- cepted. If possible, store the packaging until the warranty period has expired. Read the op- erating manual to make yourself familiar with the device prior to using it. Damaged electrical connection cable The insulation on electrical connection cables is often damaged. This may have the following causes:

  • Passage points, where connection cables are passed through windows or doors.
  • Kinks where the connection cable has been improperly fastened or routed.
  • Places where the connection cables have been cut due to being driven over.
  • Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the wall outlet.
  • Cracks due to the insulation ageing. Such damaged electrical connection ca- bles must not be used and are life-threat- ening due to the insulation damage. Check the electrical connection cables for damage regularly. Make sure that the connection cable does not hang on the power network during the inspection. Electrical connection cables must comply with the applicable VDE and DIN provi- sions. Only use connection cables with the marking „H05RN-F“. The printing of the type designation on the connection cable is mandatory. For single-phase AC motors, we recommend a fuse rating of 16A (C) or 16A (K) for ma- chines with a high starting current (start- ing from 3000 watts)! AC motor 230 V~/ 50 Hz Mains voltage 230 V~ / 50 Hz. The mains connection and the extension cable have to be three-core cables = P + N + SL. - (1/N/PE). Extension cables up tp 25m long must have a minimum cross-section of 1.5 mm². Mains fuse pro- tection is 16 A maximum.

9. Initial operation

m IMPORTANT! You must fully assemble the appliance before using it for the rst time!

  • Install the equipment on a solid and lev- el surface.
  • Unscrew the coarse lter screw (8) and remove the coarse lter (9) as shown in Figure 3. Now you can ll the pump housing with water via the coarse lter screw (8). Filling the intake line acceler- ates the in take process.
  • Assemble in reverse order.
  • Switch on the equipment with the power switch (12) water can be suctioned in for up to 5 minutes (max mum suction height).
  • After pressure drop due to water con- sumption switches the unit automatically on (switch-on pressure approx. 1.5 bar)
  • The domestic waterworks can be used for domestic water supply in the inner area also be permanently installed. To avoid vibrations and noise should be minimised. the pump with exible hose lines connected to the pipe network will be. Anti-vibration material is also rec- ommended, z. e.g. a rubber layer, be- tween pump and base to lay. Ensure a stable Fixing of the container by means of Screws that pass through the holes t in the stand. Electrical connection The electrical motor installed is connect- ed and ready for operation. The connec- tion complies with the applicable VDE and DIN provisions. www.scheppach.com / service@scheppach.com / +(49)-08223-4002-99 / +(49)-08223-4002-58
  • The pressure in the pressure vessel should be approx. 1.5 bar max. If the air pressure is too low, it should be in- creased again. To do this unscrew the valve cover (10) on the container and add the missing pressure with a tyre inator gauge via the valve (11). Then screw the valve cover back on. Connections and repairs Connections and repairs of electrical equipment may only be carried out by an electrician. Please provide the following informa- tion in the event of any enquiries:
  • Type of current for the motor

  • Not necessarily included in the scope of delivery!

Use only the transport handle (2) for transporting the device.

10. Cleaning and Maintenance

Attention! Only carry out maintenance, cleaning and adjustment work when the mains plug is pulled out. We recommend that you clean the device directly after every use. Clean the device at regular intervals using a damp cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning products or sol- vents - they could attack the plastic parts of the universal machine stand. Make sure that no water can penetrate the de- vice interior.

  • The pump is largely maintenance-free. However, for a long service life, we rec- ommend regular checking and care.
  • Before extended periods of inactivity or through the winter, the pump should be thoroughly ushed through with water, emptied completely and then stored dry.
  • To empty the pump housing, loosen the water drain screw (5) and tilt the pump slightly.
  • If there is a risk of frost the pump must be completely emptied.
  • After longer periods of storage check the pump by switching on/o󰀨 briey in order to check that the rotor turns normally.
  • In the event of the pump being jammed connect the pressure line to the wa- ter supply line and remove the suc- tion hose. Open the water supply line. Switch the pump on for ca. two seconds several times. This method recties blockages in most cases.
  • To clean the pre-lter (9), unscrew the pre-lter cap (8) and remove the lter unit. Clean the pre-lter with warm wa- ter. www.scheppach.com / service@scheppach.com / +(49)-08223-4002-99 / +(49)-08223-4002-58
