How to prepare my deep fryer before first use?

Unpack the appliance, clean the tank and basket with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the appliance in water. Ensure the oil level is between the min and max marks before plugging in.

How much oil should I use?

Pour approximately 2 to 2.5 liters of oil, checking that the level is between the minimum and maximum marks indicated in the tank.

What type of oil is recommended?

Use a good quality oil such as pure corn oil or light olive oil. Avoid butter, margarine, sunflower oil, and animal fats which degrade quickly.

How to set the timer?

Turn the timer knob (6) to the desired setting, 30 minutes maximum. The appliance turns off automatically when the time is up. You can reset it for subsequent use.

How to clean the grease filter?

Remove the filter (11) by gently pushing the opening latch forward. It is recommended to wash it in the dishwasher or in warm soapy water. Allow to dry before reinstalling.

Why does the white light turn off?

The white thermostat light turns off when the set temperature is reached. This is the signal to start frying. During cooking, it may turn on and off to maintain the temperature.

How to prevent oil overflow?

Lower the basket slowly into the oil, especially for fresh or frozen fries which contain more water. Do not fill the basket more than half full (ideal ratio 1/4 to 1/2). Make sure foods are dry before immersing.

Is the deep fryer safe for children?

Children under the age of 8 should not use the appliance. Children aged 8 and above may only use it under constant supervision. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8.

What to do if the oil catches fire?

Unplug the appliance immediately. Do not pour water on the flaming oil as this would worsen the fire. Use a lid or a fire blanket to smother the flames.

How to store the deep fryer after use?

Unplug and allow to cool completely. Clean as instructed. Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Do not place heavy objects on it.

These values may vary depending on the use of the appliance and environmental conditions. Power values have been tested at 230 V.

3 Operation

3.1 Initial use

Adjust the cooking duration according to the chart. Pre-cooked foods require higher temperatures and shorter cooking durations.

- Remove the packaging of the appliance and clean the parts (see 4.1).

3.2 Operation

1. Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
2. Slightly press the cover opening switch (5) to open the cover (2) of the appliance.
3. Raise the handle (4).
4. Make sure it is fully raised. A click will be heard.
5. Raising from the handle (4), remove the basket (9) from the inner container.
6. Pour about 2-2.5 liters of water into the inner container and make sure that the oil level remains between the minimum and maximum levels.

Do not use the appliance when the cooking container is not in place or when there is no oil in the cooking container.

Only use good quality oil. It is not recommended to use butter, margarine, olive oil or animal oil/fat.

1. Plug in the appliance.

2. Set the Thermostat and On/Off button (7) to the desired temperature.

Adjust the cooking duration according to the chart. Pre-cooked foods require higher temperatures and shorter cooking durations.

- Once the thermostat's white light has gone off, start frying.

1. Place dry food into the basket (9).

Do not overload the basket (9).

Do not put water or wet food into the basket (9).

1. Place the basket (9) into the appliance and close the cover (2). Pull down the slide on the basket handle (4).

- Immerse the basket in the oil.

1. When the frying process is over, open the cover (2) of the appliance by slightly pressing the opening switch (5).
2. Hold the handle (4) and raise the basket.
3. Remove the basket from the inner container by pulling up the handle (4).

3.3 Setting the timer

Turn the knob to set the timer (6) to the desired value (30 minutes maximum).

- The appliance will turn off when the set time has elapsed.

Reset the timer (6) for the next use.

3 Operation

3.4 Cooking recommendations

• When frying more than one type of food, fry the food that requires a lower level of temperature first, and then fry the food that requires a higher temperature.
• When frying the same type of food for more than one time, the time difference between the first frying process and the second one must be 3 to 5 minutes. The white indicator will go off when the temperature has been reached again.

• If the food you are frying is pre-cooked, you need to use higher temperatures. Plus, pre-cooked foods require shorter cooking durations compared to completely raw food.

• When frying potatoes, especially when frying fresh or frozen potatoes (these contain more water), lower the auto-raising basket slowly. Otherwise oil may overflow.

• Never fill the auto-raising basket up to 1/2 of the food (best ratio is 1/4 to 1/2). Otherwise, temperature of the oil will drop below the frying temperature and the food will not be as light or crispy as it should be.

Do not mix different types of oil for frying.

- Use only good quality oil for frying; e.g. pure maize oil or light olive oil. We do not recommend to use oils/fats that can spoil quickly, e.g. sunflower seed oil, lard oil or distilled oil.

4 Cleaning and care

4.1 Cleaning

Never use gasoline, solvent, abrasive cleaning agents, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance.

1. Turn off and unplug the appliance.
2. Wait for the appliance to cool completely.
3. Use the opening button (5) to open the cover (2) of the appliance.
4. Hold the handle (4) to raise the basket and remove the basket from the inner container.

It is recommended to replace the oil after every 5-6 use or after the oil has been in the container for 2 weeks.

1. Remove the cooking container and dispose the oil in it.

Filter the oil after every use.

1. Clean the inner container and the basket with lukewarm water and soap. Then dry them off completely.
2. Remove the filter (11) by slightly pushing forward the opening latch and take out the filter. You can wash it in the dishwasher.
3. Use a damp cloth to clean the outer surface of the appliance. Dry off the outer surface thoroughly.

Always keep the base of the cooking container and the heating plate to prevent accumulation of foreign materials. Otherwise, efficiency of the fryer will decrease and its service life will shorten.

1. When in the ON position, slight pull up the cover (2) of the appliance and remove it.
2. Clean with lukewarm water and some dishwashing liquid and rinse it.
3. Place the cover (2) into its slots to install it.

4.2 Storage

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, store it carefully.
• Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before storing it.
  • Store the appliance in a cool and dry place.
• Keep the appliance and cable out of the reach of children.

4.3 Handling and transportation

• During handling and transportation, carry the appliance in its original packaging. The packaging of the appliance protects it against physical damages.
• Do not place heavy loads on the appliance or on the packaging. The appliance may get damaged.
• Dropping the appliance may render it non-operational or cause permanent damage.
