Frequently Asked Questions - STN9000 STANLEY

How do I clean my STN9000 fan heater?
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool. Wipe the casing with a soft sponge soaked in water below 50°C with mild detergent, then dry with a clean cloth. Never spray water inside and do not use solvents like gasoline or toluene.
Which heater power should I choose for a 20 m² room?
For a 20 m² room, a 2.0 kW model (ST-02) is generally sufficient. More powerful models (3.0 kW and above) are suitable for larger spaces up to 80 m².
Can I use the STN9000 in a bathroom?
The appliance has an IPX4 protection rating, which protects against water splashes, but it should not be placed near a bathtub, shower, or swimming pool. Use it in a dry, ventilated room.
What should I do if the heater does not heat?
First check that the appliance is properly plugged in and that the thermostat is not set to minimum. If the thermostat has cut off heating (temperature reached), wait for the room to cool down. If the problem persists, contact STANLEY after-sales service.
The heater makes noise, is it normal?
Yes, the fan runs continuously when the appliance is on, producing normal ventilation noise. The fan speed is constant, only the heat level changes.
Can I use an extension cord with this heater?
Yes, but ensure the extension cord supports the power of the appliance (at least 10 A for 2 kW models, etc.) and do not exceed the maximum load indicated on the cord. For three-phase models, use a suitable extension cord.
How do I adjust the thermostat correctly?
Turn the thermostat fully to the right (+) to heat at full power. When the desired temperature is reached, slowly turn to the left until the heating element turns off. The thermostat will then maintain the temperature.
A burning smell occurs at first use, is it dangerous?
No, this is normal. The heating element is coated with a protective oil that emits a slight smoke or odor during the first heating. This disappears after a few minutes of use.
Where can I find spare parts for my STN9000?
Spare parts (coil, knob, fan blade, etc.) are available from STANLEY after-sales service. Check the parts list in the manual or contact an authorized center. Do not attempt to repair yourself.
The heater turns off by itself, what should I do?
This is likely due to overheat protection. Check that the appliance is not covered, that the grilles are not obstructed, and that it is placed on a stable surface. Let it cool, then restart. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

  2. Connect the fan heater to the proper electrical power.
  3. Set the thermostat dial to the maximum temperature.
  4. The fan heater will switch on when the function selector dial is set to one of the power settings.
  5. Once the room reaches the desired temperature, turn the thermostat dial back until heating element turns off.

Automatic Overheat Safety Control

- This heater is equipped with safety internal heat limiting thermostat and overheat protection circuit. When a potential overheat temperature is

reached, the system will automatically shut the heater off

Thermostat Instructions

  • At first, set the thermostat to "+" and let the heater operate with full power input. When the room temperature reaches the required value, turn the thermostat to the left until it switches off.
  • The thermostat will then switch on and off automatically to control the room temperature according to the preset value and keep the room temperature constant.
  • When using the heater for the first time, you may notice a slight emission of smoke. This is quite normal and it stops after a short time. The heating element is made of steel and was coated with a layer of protective oil during production. The smoke is caused by the leftover oil as it is heated.

Cleaning and Maintenance

– Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect it from the outlet and let it cool down.
- The enclosure is easy to get dirty. Wipe it often with a soft sponge. For very dirty parts, wipe with a sponge dipped in < 50^ water and mild detergent, then dry the heater enclosure with a clean cloth. Be careful not to let the water enter the inside of the appliance
- In order to protect the enclosure, don't splash water onto the heater, and never use a solvent like gasoline, isoamyl acetate, toluene, etc. to clean the heater.
- When you store the heater, let it cool down first and, keep it dry. Then cover it with a plastic bag, put it in the packing box and store it in a dry, ventilated place.

Fan stays on when heat shuts off.1. Fan runs continuously while the heater is operating.1. Heater is operating correctly.
Fan speed stays the same when changing settings.1. Fan speed stays constant. Setting changes amount of heat output only.1. Heater is operating correctly.
Heating element does not glow red.1. Heating element is made of stainless steel and will not glow red to produce heat.1. Heater is operating correctly.
Do not feel heat or air flow.1. No power to heater.2. Desired room temperature reached.3. Heater does not heat area in front of heater, it will disperse heat throughout room to heat entire space.1. Check power connections / connect heater to power supply.2. Thermostat will shut off once desired room temperature is reached. Heater is operating correctly.3. Heater is operating correctly.
