2. Safety instructions for the user

General precautions during the use of electrical equipment

  • Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
  • Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
  • Always place the appliance on to the flat and even surface.

This product is intended for indoor, non-industrial, non-commercial and only for household use.

  • Do not use the item outdoors or for any other purpose. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
  • The unit must be used only for the intended purposes. No liability is accepted for damages arising from improper use or wrong handling.
  • Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
  • Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near children.
  • Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.

  • Make sure that the hot parts of the appliance never come into contact with flammable materials such as curtains, fabrics, etc. while it is in operation, as this could cause a fire.
  • Do not cover the appliance or place anything on it.
  • CAUTION: Charcoal or similar fuels must not be used with this appliance.
  • Ensure to not to scratch the special coating of the hob, as: small fragments of this coating could get mixed with the food and the surface would be irreparably damaged. TO AVOID THIS, use a wooden spatula or a heat-resistant plastic model.
  • The Teppan Yaki Grill has a high-quality ceramic coating. Rub the griddle with a little oil before using for the first time, but afterward there is not any need of it.
  • WARNING: If the appliance overheats, the built-in safety thermostat will be triggered, causing the appliance (and indicator light) to switch off automatically. Un plug the appliance, wait 10 to 20 seconds and reconnect the appliance. Appliance will start to work again.
  • Your supply socket must be properly earthed.
  • Avoid spillage on the connector.
  • To avoid a circuit overload when using this product, do not operate another high-wattage product on the same electrical circuit.
  • A short power supply cord is provided with this product. An extension cord is not recommended for use with this product, but if one must be used: - The marked electrical rating of the cord must be at least as great as that of the product. - Arrange the extension cord so that it does not hang where it can be tripped over or pulled unintentionally.
  • Only the appropriate connector must be used.
  • Make sure that the cord and the extension lead do not come into contact with the hotplate

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

INTRODUCTION: The electric table grill is intended for grilling and frying without using any additional fat. The hotplate has a ceramic marble coating layer and a regulator that keeps the hotplate at the required temperature. This makes the electric table grill ideal for use at home for enjoyable meals with family and friends, such as teppanyaki, gourmet grilling, barbecue or preparing dishes for a children’s party. Note: Read the instructions before connecting and using for the first time!

Before using for the first time, remove the appliance and all accessories carefully. Clean the grill and accessories with a sponge or slightly damp cloth.

1. Connect the main socket to a suitable outlet

2. Set the desired temperature using the Temperature control OFF/MIN/1/2/3/4/5.

3. When first used, the unit may give off a slight odour. It is not permanent and lasts only for few

seconds. Make sure to keep sufficient ventilation.

4. As soon as this temperature is reached, the control light goes out.

5. During operation, the indicator light goes on and off, showing that the thermostat is working

and keeping the grill at the desired temperature.

6. Always turn the temperature control to "OFF" to switch the grill off.

7. Disconnect the plug from the socket and remove the plug from the mains socket.

8. Carry the grill by the handles only.

9. Allow the grill to cool and keep out of the reach of children.

  • Thaw frozen food before grilling.
  • To sear meat, turn the thermostat knob to its maximum position and ensure that it is completely preheated before cooking.

  • Use nylon or silicone utensils only. If use plastic or wooden utensils, use them with max. precautions. This will avoid scratching the non-stick surface.
  • Never cut food on the hob.
  • To remove stubborn stains, use a plastic scouring pad and mild washing-up liquid.
  • Before cleaning your appliance, turn the thermostat knob to the minimum position and disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
  • Allow the grill to cool before cleaning and remove the thermostat plug from the appliance. To do this, simply hold the plug firmly and pull.
  • Never immerse the grill, even partially, in water or any other liquid.
  • If water drips from the electrical connections, allow to dry before using again.
  • Clean the external surfaces of the grill with a soft cloth or slightly damp sponge.
  • Removable parts that come into contact with food, such as the hob, bowl, fork, spatula, etc., can be cleaned in hot water with a sponge and washing-up liquid or washed in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use aggressive detergents or scouring pads that could scratch the non-stick coating. STORAGE
