Frequently Asked Questions - ActiFry Essential FZ3010 TEFAL

How much oil to use for fries?
Use one measuring spoon (1.4 cl) of oil for 1 kg of fresh fries. For 500 g, use half a spoon. Frozen fries do not need oil.
How to clean the ActiFry Essential FZ3010?
Let the appliance cool down. Remove the filter and the paddle. All removable parts (pan, paddle, spoon, filter) are dishwasher safe. Clean the base with a damp sponge and dish soap. Never immerse the appliance.
Why won't the paddle turn?
Check that the paddle is properly engaged until a 'CLICK'. If it is not locked, reposition it in the center of the pan and push it down. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service center.
The fries are not crispy enough, what to do?
Use special frying potatoes, wash and dry them well. Cut them into thin sticks (10x10 mm). Add a little more oil if needed and extend cooking by a few minutes. Also clean the filter if it is clogged.
Can we cook frozen foods?
Yes, the ActiFry Essential is perfect for frozen foods. For example, frozen fries (750 g) cook in 30-32 min without adding oil. Refer to the cooking chart for times.
The appliance stops when I open the lid, is that normal?
Yes, it's a safety feature: the appliance automatically stops when the lid is opened. It restarts when you close it.
What is the maximum capacity for liquid recipes?
Never exceed the max level indicated on the stirring paddle. For liquids, respect this limit to avoid overflow into the base.
How to put the paddle back after washing?
Place the paddle in the center of the pan, then push it firmly until you hear a 'CLICK'. Make sure it is locked properly so it turns correctly.
The fries break during cooking, why?
This happens with new potatoes. Reduce the quantity to 750 g and adjust the cooking time. Use firm-flesh potatoes.
What to do if the appliance does not heat while the motor runs?
This may indicate a technical issue. Return the appliance to an authorized service center for diagnosis and repair.
