What is the battery life of the EZBar?

The maximum battery life is 8 hours after a full charge. Charging time is about 7.5 hours.

How to charge the battery of the EZBar?

Use the provided external power supply (15 VDC, 1.6 A) and plug it into the DC input of the device. The charging indicators are red during charging and green once the battery is full. Avoid charging in a closed container and do not exceed 24 hours of charging.

Can I use the EZBar while it is plugged into mains?

Yes, the EZBar can operate on mains while charging the battery. Make sure the input voltage is between 100 and 240 VAC.

How to mount the EZBar on a microphone stand?

The device has a microphone stand thread with 3/8"-16 tpi (European) and 5/8"-27 tpi (USA) standards. Simply screw the stand into the microphone bracket provided. Do not insert anything other than a microphone stand to avoid damaging the product.

Can I use the IRC-6 remote control with the EZBar?

Yes, the EZBar is compatible with the IRC-6 remote control from Chauvet. The usable buttons are: <%> for the dimmer, ON/OFF to turn the LEDs on/off, and the battery button to display the battery life indicator.

How to clean the EZBar?

Always unplug the device before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. Make sure no ventilation slots are blocked.

What are the important safety precautions?

Never expose eyes directly to the light source. Always use a safety cable when mounting overhead. Do not use outdoors (IP20). Ambient temperature must not exceed 40 °C. Do not open the device (no user-serviceable parts).

How to install a diffuser on the EZBar?

Place the diffuser (10° or 25°) on the front of the device, then screw the retaining ring to hold it in place. Remove it by unscrewing the ring.

What to do if the battery does not charge?

If the battery is completely discharged, the device may not turn on immediately after plugging in. Let it charge for a few minutes. If the problem persists, check that the power supply is properly connected and that the ambient temperature is between 0 °C and 35 °C.

Unpack your EZbar and make sure you have received all parts in good condition. If the box or contents appear damaged, notify the carrier immediately, not Chauvet.

This product has an external auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The output voltage is 15 VDC, 1.6 A.

To eliminate wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Battery Power

Each EZbar comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for cable-free operation.

The charging indicators on the EZbar show red when the battery is charging, and green when it is fully charged.

Do not charge the battery in a closed container.

Battery Life Indicator

The battery life indicator shows the remaining amount of internal battery life.

Battery Charge Notes

• Avoid depleting the battery below 10% .
  • For best results, charge the battery in a temperature between 32 °F (0 °C), and 95 °F (35 °C).
• When charging the battery, keep the product at least 1 m from any open flame or hot plate.
• If the battery is completely discharged, the device cannot be turned on immediately when the charger is connected. Allow a depleted battery to charge for a few minutes before turning on the device.
• While charging, the device may heat up. This is normal and should not affect the device's lifespan or performance. If the battery gets hotter than usual, the charger may stop charging.
• Do not charge the battery in a closed container.
• Do not charge the battery for more than 24 hours.

DO NOT insert anything other than a microphone stand into the Mic Stand Thread. Doing so may cause damage to the product.

Manual Dimmer Button

The dimmer value of the EZbar can be controlled with the dimmer button (see the Product Overview). Press it repeatedly to cycle through the preset dimmer values.

IRC-6 Remote (Infrared Remote Control)

The EZbar can be operated with the CHAUVET IRC-6.

The following IRC-6 buttons are used with the EZbar:
