How do I charge the Powerfix HG03497A lamp?

Turn off the lamp (switch to 0). Remove the rubber cover and plug in the mains adapter (into a 230 V outlet) or the vehicle adapter (into a 12 V cigarette lighter). The red light indicates charging, green when finished. Then unplug.

What is the battery life?

After a full charge (5 to 7 h), the battery life is approximately 3 to 4 hours of continuous use.

Is the LED replaceable?

No, the COB LED is built-in and non-replaceable. If it fails, the entire product must be replaced.

Can I use the lamp in the car while driving?

It is not recommended to use it while driving. If using in the vehicle, secure it firmly using the magnet or hook to avoid injury in case of braking.

How to clean the lamp?

Turn off and unplug the lamp. Clean it with a dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse in water.

Can I replace the battery myself?

No, the lithium-ion battery is built-in and non-replaceable. Any attempt to open it would damage the product. At end of life, recycle the device.

Is the lamp waterproof?

No, the protection rating is IP20, meaning it is protected against solid objects >12.5 mm but not against water. Avoid moisture and splashes.

What to do if the lamp does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. Make sure the adapter is properly plugged in. If using the vehicle adapter, check that the cigarette lighter is powered (often after turning on the ignition). Also check the vehicle's fuses.

What is the warranty period?

The lamp has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase against material and manufacturing defects. Keep the receipt.

Can I use another mains adapter?

Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use! When passing this product on to others, please also include all the documents!

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. Always keep children away from the packaging material.

This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or those lacking experience and / or knowledge provided they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and they understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.

This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical products.

- Do not use the product if you detect any type of damage.

- Protect the product from moisture and humidity. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids!

Only connect the product to a properly installed mains socket or a suitable 12 V socket. The voltages in each case must comply with information given in the section "Technical data".

■ Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can pull the mains adapter quickly out of the socket if necessary.

- Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself. The LED cannot and must not be replaced.

■ Dispose of the product when the product or the mains adapter or the car adapter is damaged.

- Ensure the cables cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot objects. Unwind the cables completely before use.

■ Protect the product against heat and cold.

Do not attach the hook 1 to hot objects. The weight of the product can then morph the shape of the hook.

This product may only be charged with the mains adapter (model no.: SD-G0900500D) or car adapter (model no: YL003) provided.
Please be aware that while the mains adapter or the car adapter is plugged in, it uses a small amount of power, even when the product is not switched on. Unplug the mains adapter or the car adapter from the socket to stop using it.
The mains adapter 3 and car adapter 4 provided are only suitable for use with the product.
The illuminant is not replaceable.
If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire product must be replaced.

●Beforeuse

- Charging the product

Note: You can charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet or from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.

① Tip: We recommend that you charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet to avoid draining your vehicle's battery.

CAUTION! Do not connect the product to the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle if the vehicle battery is old or degraded. Failure to observe this advice may result in your vehicle's engine not starting.

Note: To use the product without an adapter, you must first charge the integral rechargeable batteries. It takes 5–7 hours to charge the integral batteries. The rechargeable batteries are permanently installed in the handle of the product.

Note: Charge the product for approximately 12 hours before first use.

Note: Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain unused for an extended period of time.

Note: If the product has not been charged for an extended period of time (approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral rechargeable batteries have entered a dormant state. Charge and discharge the product a number of times in succession to reactivate the integral rechargeable batteries.

☐ Switch off the product during the charging process (set the ON/OFF switch 5 to position 0).
☐ Remove the rubber protection cap 8 from the bottom of the product.
☐ Insert the power output connection plug of the mains adapter 3 or the car adapter 4 into the power input connection socket 6 in the handle of the product.

Note: During charging from a cigarette lighter socket, ensure that the car adapter is always completely inserted into the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle. Failure to observe this advice may result in risk of fire from overheating.

☐ Insert the mains adapter into a mains socket or the car adapter 4 into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle.

Note: The product has an overcharging protection system. Nevertheless, you should disconnect the product from the mains once the charging process is complete.

Note: The LED charging indicator illuminates red during the charging process. When the charging process is complete, the LED charging indicator 2 illuminates green. When the LED charging indicator 2 illuminates green, pull the mains adapter 3 out of the mains socket or the car adapter 4 out of the cigarette lighter socket. Disconnect the mains adapter or the car adapter from the product to prevent the batteries from discharging themselves.

Place the rubber protection cap 8 back on the power input connection socket 6 before you start to use the product again.

Use

CAUTION - RISK OF ACCIDENT! If at all possible, do not use the product in a moving vehicle. If the product is used in a vehicle, it must not be allowed to endanger the safety of the driver or passengers. Always store and secure the product in such a way that there is no risk of injury from or damage to the product, even during full braking. Note: You can secure the product by using the hook 1 or the magnet 7 on a flat, ferromagnetic surface.

- Using the product disconnected from a power supply

□ Fully charge the product, as described in the section on "Charging the product".
☐ Set the ON / OFF switch 5 to position I to switch on the product.
☐ Set the ON / OFF switch 5 to position 0 to switch off the product.

●Troubleshooting

Fault Possible causes and cures

LED charging indicator 2 does not illuminate	When connected to a cigarette lighter socket:- Is the cigarette lighter socket supplied with power? Some cigarette lighter sockets only supply power with the ignition switched on.- Check the fuse in the vehicle.
Charging takes a very long time	When connected to a cigarette lighter socket:- Vehicle battery too weak?- Check if the fuse of the car adapter needs to be replaced.

● Maintenance and Cleaning

The product requires no maintenance. The LED lamp is not replaceable.

• Switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains supply before cleaning.
  ■ Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  ■ Never use caustic cleaners.
  ☐ Regularly clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth. Use a slightly moist cloth to remove any stubborn dirt.

●Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1-7: plastics/20-22: paper and fibreboard/80-98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006 / 66 / EC and its amendments. Return rechargeable batteries and / or the product using the recycling facilities provided.

Environmental damage can result from improper disposal of the rechargeable batteries!

Batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste. They could contain poisonous heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.

- Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it - at our choice - free of charge to you.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
