OF ACCIDENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packag- ing material. Always keep children away from the packaging material. This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca- pacities, or those lacking experience and / or knowledge pro- vided they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and they understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user mainte- nance must not be performed by children without supervision. This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical products. Do not use the product if you detect any type of damage. Protect the product from moisture and humidity. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids! Only connect the product to a properly installed mains socket or a suitable 12 V socket. The voltages in each case must comply with information given in the section “Technical data”. Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can pull the mains adapter quickly out of the socket if necessary. Do not carry out any modifications or repairs to the product yourself. The LED cannot and must not be replaced. Dispose of the product when the product or the mains adapter or the car adapter is damaged. Ensure the cables cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot objects. Unwind the cables completely before use. Protect the product against heat and cold. Do not attach the hook

to hot objects. The weight of the product can then morph the shape of the hook.14 GB/IE This product may only be charged with the mains adapter (model no.: SD-G0900500D) or car adapter (model no: YL003) provided. Please be aware that while the mains adapter or the car adapter is plugged in, it uses a small amount of power, even when the product is not switched on. Unplug the mains adapter or the car adapter from the socket to stop using it. The mains adapter

provided are only suitable for use with the product. The illuminant is not replaceable. If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire product must be replaced. Before use Charging the product Note: You can charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet or from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle. Tip: We recommend that you charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet to avoid draining your vehicle’s battery. CAUTION! Do not connect the product to the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle if the vehicle battery is old or degraded. Failure to observe this advice may result in your vehicle’s engine not starting. Note: To use the product without an adapter, you must first charge the integral rechargeable batteries. It takes 5–7 hours to charge the inte- gral batteries. The rechargeable batteries are permanently installed in the handle of the product. Note: Charge the product for approximately 12 hours before first use. Note: Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain unused for an extended period of time. Note: If the product has not been charged for an extended period of time (approx. 2 months), you could find that the integral recharge- able batteries have entered a dormant state. Charge and discharge the product a number of times in succession to reactivate the integral rechargeable batteries. Switch off the product during the charging process (set the ON / OFF switch

from the bottom of the product. Insert the power output connection plug of the mains adapter

in the handle of the product. Note: During charging from a cigarette lighter socket, ensure that the car adapter is always completely inserted into the ciga- rette lighter socket of the vehicle. Failure to observe this advice may result in risk of fire from overheating. Insert the mains adapter

into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle. Note: The product has an overcharging protection system. Nevertheless, you should disconnect the product from the mains once the charging process is complete. Note: The LED charging indicator

illuminates red during the charging process. When the charging process is complete, the LED charging indicator

illuminates green. When the LED charging indicator

illuminates green, pull the mains adapter

out of the mains socket or the car adapter

out of the ciga- rette lighter socket. Disconnect the mains adapter or the car adapter from the product to prevent the batteries from discharg- ing themselves. Place the rubber protection cap

back on the power input connection socket

to position 0 to switch off the product. Troubleshooting Fault Possible causes and cures No functions - Mains adapter

is not fully inserted. - Check the mainpower socket can be functioned properly. - Check the house's fuse. LED charging indicator

does not illuminate When connected to a cigarette lighter socket: - Is the cigarette lighter socket supplied with power? Some cigarette lighter sockets only supply power with the ignition switched on. - Check the fuse in the vehicle. Charging takes a very long time When connected to a cigarette lighter socket: - Vehicle battery too weak? - Check if the fuse of the car adapter needs to be replaced. Maintenance and Cleaning The product requires no maintenance. The LED lamp is not replaceable. Switch the product off and disconnect it from the mains supply before cleaning. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never use caustic cleaners. Regularly clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth. Use a slightly moist cloth to remove any stubborn dirt. Disposal The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
