1- Do not use the appliance with wet hands, in a damp environment

or on wet surfaces. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. 2 - Do not use this appliance near bathtubs or other vessels containing water. 3 - Unplug the appliance when it is off because proximity to water could pose a threat; be extra careful when using it in the bathroom. 4 - Do not use this electric appliance if it has been in contact with liquids, if its electric cord is damaged or if its body and/or accessories show clear signs of damage. If the appliance does not work properly, disconnect it from the power immediately and take it to an approved service centre. 5- If the 7electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced immediately by the manufacturer, an authorised service centre or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. 6- Avoid contact with your skin while the hair straightener is still operating: the high temperatures could cause burns. 7- Keep the appliance and its electric cord away from sources of heat and from heat-sensitive surfaces (plastic, vinyl, etc.). 8- Do not hold or handle the appliance by the electric cord. Do not wind the electric cord around the appliance, bend it or twist it so as not to impair its correct functioning and thus damage the hair straightener. Lack of compliance with the above warnings and instructions could cause a short circuit and thus irreparable damage to the hair straightener, as well as put the user’s safety at risk. 9- If the electric cord shows any signs of damage or wear, it should be replaced by specialised personnel only. Do not use fittings and/or accessories that have been modified or that have not been approved by the manufacturer. 10- Unplug the appliance when not in use and allow it to cool down before storing it in a safe place. To disconnect the appliance, unplug the electric cord from the wall power outlet. 11- To clean the appliance, always disconnect it from the power outlet first and let it cool completely. When cleaning, do not use aggressive products containing phenylphenol. 12- This 8appliance should only be used for its intended purpose. 13- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice. This appliance must not be used by people with reduced physical, motor or mental capacity (including children), or with limited knowledge of the appliance itself, unless such people have been trained for its use or are under adequate supervision to ensure their own safety. LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD: The standard warranty period for the hair straighteners we market is 24 months in compliance with European Directive 1999/44/EC. The professional warranty period for hair straighteners that are used at beauty salons and for any other professional purposes is 12 months from the date of purchase. In both cases, the warranty shall be valid upon presentation of the proof of purchase consisting of original invoice or purchase ticket indicating the date of purchase and product type. Such proof must be legible, full and undamaged. CAUTION This appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When plugged in and operated for the first time, there may be a momentary burning smell. This occurs when the coating around the heating element is heated for the first time. This is not dangerous for the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. When using the appliance for the first time, keep it working until the smell dissipates. Smoke dissipates after about 30 seconds. 10INNOVA STEAM IMPORTANT: THE APPLIANCE IS TO BE USED ON COMPLETELY DRY HAIR. DO NOT REMOVE THE WATER RESERVOIR IF THE PRODUCT IS STILL HOT OR PLUGGED INTO THE POWER OUTLET. DO NOT ACTIVATE THE MICRO STEAM FUNCTION IF THE WATER RESERVOIR IS EMPTY. USE INSTRUCTIONS: To use the appliance without activating the micro steam function, read from point 5 to point 7.

• To remove the water reservoir, move the opening switch downward and hold it down until the reservoir has been completely removed.

• Open the rubber cover found on the back of the reservoir in order to fill it with water. Only use clean water.

• Close the reservoir and make sure that no water leaks out.

• Insert the reservoir into its special compartment, moving the opening switch downward and holding it down; release the switch as soon as the reservoir is perfectly positioned.

• Plug the appliance into the power outlet.

• Turn on the appliance by pressing the button. The digital display will initially show a temperature of 130°C. Note however that the appliance automatically detects the temperature of the surrounding environment and therefore it will decrease by a few degrees before gradually reaching 130°C.

• Use the (<) and (>) buttons to select the desired working temperature: the digital display will show information about temperature progress. The heating element is capable of working from 130°C up to 230°C.

• To activate the micro steam function, wait for the appliance to reach the desired temperature and move the switch towards ; the LED will automatically light up and the function will be activated.

• Turn off the appliance by pressing the button.

• Unplug the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool down; then empty the water reservoir, repeating the same procedure explained beforehand.

• If the hair straightener has been used with the micro-steam function, once switched off, the steam will continue to come out until the straightener has cooled down.
