Frequently Asked Questions - SS16055 Sogo

How to charge the Sogo SS16055 robot vacuum?
Turn on the power switch located under the machine. Plug the power adapter into a 100-240 V outlet, then insert the other end into the charging interface on the machine. The 'Start/Stop' button flashes green during charging and stays solid green when charging is complete. The first charge must last at least 6 hours. Fully charge after each use.
What to do if the red light flashes and the alarm sounds?
This indicates a floor sensor fault. Check that the receiver (sensor) on the bottom of the machine is not obstructed or damaged. Clean it with a soft cloth. If the problem persists, replace the receiver.
How to clean the vacuum filters?
Remove the dustbin by pressing the rotating lid. Take out the preliminary filter and the HEPA filter. The preliminary filter can be washed with water, air-dried (not in sunlight). The HEPA filter should not be washed with water; clean it by blowing with a hairdryer or tapping to dislodge dust. Replace the HEPA filter every 24 months.
How to replace the robot battery?
Turn off the device and remove the battery cover on the bottom of the machine using a screwdriver. Disconnect the old battery and replace it with a new compatible battery (Ni-MH 14.4 V 850 mAh). Close the cover. After replacement, charge the new battery for at least 6 hours before first use. Recycle the old battery according to local regulations.
How to use the remote control?
Insert two AAA/LR03 batteries (not included) into the remote control. Use the buttons: 'Start/Pause' to start/stop sweeping; directional arrows to move the robot manually; 'Random', 'Edge' and 'Scheduled' to select mode; 'Answer' to make the robot beep and locate it.
What are the different sweeping modes?
The vacuum has three modes: Random (random movement), Edge (follows walls) and Scheduled (scheduled sweeping). You can select them via the remote control. The device can also switch automatically between modes depending on the environment.
Why does the robot not start?
Check that the power switch on the bottom of the machine is in the ON position. Make sure the battery is charged (the 'Start/Stop' button should be solid orange when operating). If the robot is charging, it will not start. If the problem persists, restart the machine by turning the switch off and on.
How to clean the side brushes?
If the side brushes are dirty, wash them with clean water and let them dry completely in the air before reinstalling. For replacement, make sure to place the brush marked 'L' on the left and 'R' on the right, on the bottom of the machine. Damaged brushes need to be replaced.
What to do if the vacuum cannot climb an obstacle?
The robot can climb obstacles up to about 8 mm in height. For taller obstacles, it may get stuck. Remove obstacles from the floor if possible. If the device is stuck, move it manually to an open area.
How to contact after-sales service?
You can contact customer service by email: sogosat@sogosat.com, by phone: 0034 902 222 161, or visit www.sogosat.com. Keep the proof of purchase for any claims.
