Dear Customer,
We are delighted that you have chosen the MAXXMEE multi-grill.
With this grill, you can cleverly combine tasty raclette, traditional grilling and delicious spit-roasted dishes. The grill plate on top can be turned over: the smooth side is ideal for cooking pancakes or fried eggs, for example, and the rippled side can magically produce characteristic grilled streaks on your steak. Below this are 9 rotating spits which turn automatically and can easily be removed. To enjoy a delicious raclette experience with the whole family, you simply place the fat collecting tray on the rack for rotating spits and then insert the small pans with your own individual toppings. The delicacies can easily be slid out of the small pans with the wooden spatulas that are also provided.
If you have any questions about the device and about spare parts/accessories, contact the customer service department via our website: www.dspro.de/kundenservice
We hope you have a lot of fun with your MAXXMEE multi-grill.

BEFORE INITIAL USE
- Clean all the accessories of the device. To do this, follow the instructions in the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter.
- Place the grill plate (7) on the main unit (1) and heat it up for a few minutes to remove any possible production residues from the grill plate. To do this, follow the instructions in the "Set-Up and Connection" and "Use" chapters.

When the device is first used, production-related additives may cause a small amount of smoke and / or an odour to be produced. This is normal and not a device defect.
- Clean the grill plate again.
SET-UP AND CONNECTION
Please Note!
- Check the device and the connecting cable for any damage each time before you start using it. Use the device only if it is undamaged and in working order.
■ Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. - Do not use the device with cable extension reels or extension cables which are longer than 3 m.
- Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a multiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fire).
EN
■ Make sure that the connecting cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (including those of the device!).
■ Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides. Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam could cause damage to them!
-
Set up the main unit (1) on a table or another flat, stable, heat-resistant surface that is easy to clean. If you are intending to prepare ke-babs, we recommend placing a mat under the device to provide protection from dripping fat.
-
Place the rack for rotating spits (6) on the tray (14) in the bottom of the main unit. Important: The toothed wheel on the side of the rack (15) must engage in the toothed wheel of the main unit, and the rack must engage in the two locking catches in the tray.
-
To prepare kebabs, lift up the rear supporting leg (16) of the rack and slide the fat collecting tray underneath until it touches the front of the rack.
For raclette place the fat collecting tray ON the rack.

The rack is not necessarily required for raclette. However, the preparation time is reduced by the smaller distance between the small pan (3) and heating element (10).
- The grill plate (7) has a rippled side, e.g. for meat, fish, vegetables, mushrooms, and a smooth side, e.g. for pancakes, fried eggs etc. Place the grill plate on the main unit with the side that you want at the top.

Even if the grill plate is not being used, it should be placed on the main unit to prevent any loss of heat.
- Fully unwind the connecting cable and plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
USE
Please Note!
■ Additional kitchen utensils used to turn and remove the food must be heat-resistant and be made of wood or plastic. Metal objects or other sharp-edged objects could damage the non-stick coating of the grill plate or the small raclette pans.
■ Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation while the device is in operation.

Although the grill plate (7) has a non-stick coating, we still recommend that you lightly grease it. Do not use any cooking spray as it can attack the non-stick coating!
Basic Use
-
When the device has been set up and connected correctly (see the "Set-Up and Connection" chapter), flip the I/O On/Off switch (13) to the I position to switch on the device.
-
Turn the temperature control dial (12) to the highest setting and allow the device to heat up. The heat control lamp (11) lights up during heating. It goes out once the set temperature level has been reached.
-
The temperature can then be reduced as you require.
-
Prepare the food on the device (see the "Raclette and Frying" and "Kebabs" sections).
At the same time as raclette or kebabs, the grill plate can be used for frying mushrooms, vegetables or meat. Use a brush to dab some cooking oil onto the grill plate beforehand so that the food does not become stuck to it.
- After use, flip the I/O On / Off switch to the 0 position and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
- Allow the device and accessories to cool down and then clean them (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter).
Raclette and Frying
Please Note!
■ Always place down the small pans on heat-resistant surfaces immediately after use! Do not place any empty small pans back in or on the heated device.
■ Only ever hold the small pans by the handles and always allow them to cool down before they are filled with new ingredients.
- Do not slide the small pans too far into the device to prevent any material damage to the handles.

We recommend that you only season the ingredients after preparation as the herbs and spices can burn if they get too hot.
- Prepare all the ingredients for the raclette.
- Heat up the device in the manner described in the "Basic Use" section.
- Meanwhile place the ingredients on the small pans (3). Do not overfill them to ensure that the food does not touch the heating element (10).
-
As soon as the device has heated up, place the filled small pans to be gratinated on the fat collecting trays beneath the heating element.
-
Regulate the temperature as you require.
- You can use the wooden spatulas which are supplied (4) to scoop the cooked food from the small pans onto plates.
Kebabs
Please Note!
■ Only ever move the rack for rotating spits with the removal tool when it is hot.
■ Be careful when handling the rotating spits in order to prevent any injuries!
- Place pieces of meat, fish, vegetables etc. on the rotating spits (2) as you wish. The pieces should not be too big or too heavy so that the spits can rotate without being impeded. A rotating spit should be loaded with no more than 100 g.
- Heat up the device in the manner described in the "Basic Use" section.
- Press together the metal ends of the removal tool (5) and plug them into the front openings (18) in the rack for rotating spits (6).
- Hold the removal tool by the handle and pull the rack halfway out of the device.
- Insert the rotating spits into the rack as follows: Place the tip of a rotating spit on the rear holder and insert the toothed wheel of the rotating spit into the slot (17) on the front top side of the rack (Picture E).
- Slide the rack back into the main unit using the removal tool. If it fits correctly, the rotating spits rotate.
- After cooking, pull the rack halfway out and remove the rotating spits.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■ Used cooking oils and cooking fats are not to be poured down the drain and must be disposed of in the domestic waste.
■ Never spray cold water onto the hot parts of the device during or immediately after use. This could damage the non-stick coating!
■ Do not spray cleaning agents directly onto the device.
■ The main unit and the rack for rotating spits are not dishwasher-safe.
■ Do not immerse the main unit in water.
■ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive sponges to clean the device. These could damage the surface.
Clean the device and the used accessories immediately after each use to prevent germ formation. Do not allow any food residues to dry on.
-
Make sure that the device has completely cooled down and has been disconnected from the mains power!
-
Remove all food residues.
-
Wipe down the main unit (1) and the rack for rotating spits (6) with a damp cloth and detergent if necessary. The rack can also be rinsed under running water.
-
Clean all other parts with detergent in warm water or in the dishwasher.
-
Allow all parts to dry completely or dry them with a tea towel.
-
Store the device in a cool and dry place which is out of the reach of children and animals.
