FUNCTIONS

SWITCH ON / OFF AND START / STOP

The device is switched on or off via the fi eld (21).

The preheating / grilling process is started or stopped via the fi eld (15).

N8WERK 09595 - SWITCH ON / OFF AND START / STOP - 1

The grilling process cannot be paused! If it is ended via the fi eld, it has to be completely restarted.

PREHEATING

The device automatically preheats fi rst on each mode (apart from manual mode), which is indicated by the fi eldsssS (20) fl ashing. The device has only reached the desired temperature for the selected mode once you hear 4 short and 1 long beep.

PRESET MODES

The device has 6 preset modes (13, 18 and 19) on which the temperature is set automatically.

ideal for burgers

MANUAL MODE

The device also offers the option of setting a manual mode via the fi eld (14) in order, for example, to grill desserts, vegetables or something else. In this mode, the preheating phase does not take place and the device heats up from room temperature to max. 200^ .

DEGREE OF COOKING

The degree of cooking that you want in modes (19) and (18) must be chosen after finishing the preheating via the select degree of cooking fields (16): rare - medium - well - well done.

N8WERK 09595 - DEGREE OF COOKING - 1

Please bear in mind: This categorisation relates to a steak that is approx. 4 cm thick (300 g) (Picture D). The particular degree of cooking is always dependent on the type, quality, origin and thickness of the chosen food (see also the "Tips and Tricks" chapter). You need to make an adjustment for the individual food and check the cooked result!

DEFROSTING

To defrost food, you can select the "Defrost" function via the fi eld (12).

In this case, the temperature in the device increases slowly from room temperature to no more than 250^ - this ensures that the food defrosts gently.

LED COLOUR COUNTDOWN

The LED colour countdown (17) indicates the progress of the grilling process:

green approx. 0 - 25%

yellow approx. 25 - 50%

orange approx. 50 - 75%

red approx. 75 - 100%

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • Not all meat or fish is the same. The flavour is dependent on lots of different factors – the type, origin, shing method, rearing of the animal and so on ... The rule when grilling is therefore: Quality over quantity! As you also can and should enjoy grilled meat and grilled fish on its own or with just a few herbs and spices, it is well worth spending a bit more money when you make your choice.
The grilled result is also dependent on the size and thickness of the meat or fish - here you should always have a

look from time to time during the grilling process to see whether the chosen settings also perfectly suit this piece of meat or fi sh.

  • When you are grilling round foodstuffs, such as sausages, corn on the cob etc., the grilling process usually takes a little longer owing to the small contact surface. We recommend turning the food 90^ one or two times so that it is deliciously seared all the way round.
If you are grilling several times in quick succession, we recommend giving the grill plates a rough clean with a brush in between times to prevent any food from burning into them and also prevent too much smoke being produced.

You should only season meat or fish after the grilling process so that the herbs or spices do not burn on the grill and thus alter the flavour.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Please Note!

No liquid must get into the device. Never immerse the device in water!
The device is not dishwasher-safe.
- Never spray cold water onto the grill plates during or immediately after use of the device. This could damage the non-stick coating!
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.

Clean the device immediately after every use to prevent the formation of germs.

  1. Make sure that the device has completely cooled down and has been disconnected from the mains power!
  2. Remove the grill plates (4 and 9) from the device (see the "Setting Up the Device" chapter).

  3. Pull the fat collecting tray (6) out of the bottom of the housing and empty it.

  4. Clean the grill plates and the fat collecting tray with a little detergent and warm water or in the dishwasher.

N8WERK 09595 - Please Note! - 1

To ensure a particularly long useful life, we recommend cleaning the grill plates with a sponge and a little detergent.

  1. Wipe down the housing with a damp cloth.
  2. Then dry off the device with a soft cloth.
  3. Close the device and fix the grill plates with the locking catch (2).
  4. Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-free place so that it is out of the reach of children and animals.
