How to change the battery of the Medisana HR A10 trimmer?

Slide the battery compartment cover 3 downwards and remove it. Insert an AA (LR6) battery observing polarity, then replace the cover by pushing it upwards until it clicks into place.

What are the possible cutting lengths?

With the included attachment, you can set the cutting length to 2, 4 or 6 mm.

Can I use the trimmer in the shower?

No, the device is not waterproof. Never immerse it in water and clean it only with a damp cloth.

How to clean the trimmer after use?

First remove the battery. Use the included brush to clean the device and attachments. The attachments can be rinsed under running water, but never clean the device under water. Let dry before reuse.

Is the attachment compatible with other Medisana models?

EN 2 Useful Information / 3 Operating

2.1 Scope of delivery and packaging

Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the appliance and contact your supplier or your service centre. The following parts are included:

• 1 medisana HR A10 (with accessories)
• 1 battery, 1,5 V type: AA (LR6)
• 1instruction manual

The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of any packaging material no longer required. If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please contact your supplier without delay.

WARNING

Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept away from the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!

2.2 Intended use

The device is used to cut nose and ear hair.

Never use the device on any part of the body other than the nose or ear hair. For other uses (eyebrows, neck, beard hairs or whiskers), the trimming attachment is intended.

3 Operating

3.1 Functions

WARNING

Danger of injury! Never insert the trimmer more than 0.5 cm into the nose or ear.

Insert/change battery

Hold the device in one hand and slide the battery compartment cove.3 downwards and remove it.

Insert a type AA battery, paying attention to correct polarity. Replace the battery compartment cover and push it upwards until it is firmly seated. You can now use the device.

Cutting nose and ear hair

• Remove the protective cap 4.
• Slide the on/off switch ② upwards to switch on the device.
• Carefully run the tip of the trimmer over the protruding hair from the nose or ear to remove it.

Use of the trimmer attachment

• Twist the tip of the nose/ear hair trimmer 1 from left to right to release and take it off.
• Attach the trimmer attachment 5.
• Set the cutting length (2, 4 or 6mm ) and trim the desired hair areas.

Switch off the device by sliding the on/off switch ② downwards. Clean the device as described in the "Cleaning and maintenance" section.

4.1

Cleaning and maintenance

• Remove the battery before cleaning.
• Remove any attachment before cleaning.
• CAUTION: Do not try to disassemble the attachments yourself.
• Clean the attachments and the device yourself with the enclosed brush.
• The attachments can also be cleaned under running water.
• CAUTION: Never clean the device itself under running water!
• Clean the device with a soft cloth.
• Let the attachments air dry thoroughly before using them again.
  DO NOT use harsh cleaners, abrasives, or solutions.
• NEVER immerse the device in water.

4.2

Storage

• Switch off the device after use. Remove the battery to prevent damage from leakage.
• Store the device, attachments and battery in a safe place out of the reach of children.

4.3 Disposal

This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste.

All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.
