Start up

Assembling the ironing table

Place the ironing table on firm even ground!

Illustration 1

→ Unwind the mains cable of the ironing table and slowly move the underframe towards the front. The ironing table unfolds and can be locked in the desired position. Then lower the ironing table on to the floor.

Illustration 2

The height of the ironing table can be adjusted in 6 phases (max. height of 100 cm) and allows you to iron while standing and sitting.

To adjust the height, hold the ironing surface with both the hands, raise the ironing table slightly and pull up the operating lever with one hand. (Lifting the ironing table slightly serves as a security function against accidental switch-on).

The ironing table is locked again only when you hear it locking in.

Illustration 3

→ Install the flexible cable holder; you can move it to the left or the right.

Connect the steam generator

Illustration 4

→ Insert the power cord of the ironing table in a wall socket.
→ Start-up the steam cleaner according to the description.
→ Insert the power cord of the steam cleaner into the socket at the ironing table. This will ensure power supply to the steam cleaner.

Illustration 5

→ Place the iron of the steam cleaner on the rest and clamp in the cable of the iron into the flexible cable holder.

Ironing table and steam cleaner are now ready for use.

Ironing

Please note and follow the following instructions to ensure safe use of the ironing table!

Notes:

Please ensure that you always follow the ironing instructions stitched on to your clothes along with the instructions and specifications given in the instructions handbook of the steam cleaner and the iron!

The blower must always be switched on while ironing with steam - otherwise there will be condense water formation.

When you shift between ventilator functions (blow out or suck in), there is short pause due to change in the rotational direction of the blower. Hence, wait for a couple of seconds before continuing.

During breaks in ironing, place the hot iron on the heat-resistant rest; please remember to first switch off the steam function.

Steam ironing with steam suction

Illustration 6

→ Turn the appliance switch to the steam suction position.

Specific use of steam suction:

Shirts, trousers (with crease), pleated skirts, dinner jackets, tablecloths.

  • Fixes the fabric on the table; thus acts against formation of crease.
  • Causes the steam to penetrate better into the fibre - this reduces the time taken for ironing and gives better ironing results.
  • Ensures a dry ironing table and also helps in drying the fabric while ironing.

Steam ironing using the blower function

Illustration 7

→ Turn the appliance switch to blower position.

Specific use of blower function:

Highly sensitive fabrics, silk blouses, pleats (tucks), frills, dinner jackets with lining.

- Ensures crease-free ironing of highly sensitive fabrics and clothes on an air cushion.

– Takes care of fine clothes.

Dry ironing

Illustration 8

The ventilator functions can also be switched off (on/off switch to position 0) when you want to dry iron.

Finish operation

→ Switch the steam cleaner and the ironing table off.
→ Pull out the power cord of the steam cleaner and the ironing table from the sockets.
→ Shut down the steam cleaner according to the instructions given in the manual and store it.

Illustration 9

→ Fold up the cable holder before you put away the ironing table.

Storing the ironing table

Illustration 10

→ Hold the ironing table with both the hands, raise it briefly and fold it together using the operating lever.

Illustration 11

→ Wind the power cord of the ironing table around the feet and rest taking large radii; press in the power cord in the recess provided for the same in the holder.

Note: Winding the power cord is simultaneously a safety mechanism against accidental unfolding of the ironing table.

Illustration 12

The ironing table can be stored in a folded state (the iron rest is on the top). Stow away the ironing table in a safe manner to ensure that it does not tilt and fall! The transport safety lock allows you to fix the underframe in a folded state.

Maintenance and care

Cleaning the ironing table

Clean only when the power cord has been pulled out, the iron and steam cleaner have cooled down!

→ Wipe off the ironing table and the surfaces using a soft, moist cloth. Do not use any detergents!

Cleaning the ironing table cover

Note: Please observe the following symbols.

Kärcher AB 1000 - Cleaning the ironing table cover - 1Do not wash
Kärcher AB 1000 - Cleaning the ironing table cover - 2Do not dry in dryer
Kärcher AB 1000 - Cleaning the ironing table cover - 3Iron hot (200°C)
Kärcher AB 1000 - Cleaning the ironing table cover - 4Do not dry clean
Kärcher AB 1000 - Cleaning the ironing table cover - 5Do not wet clean

Changing the cover of the ironing table

The transparency of the special ironing table cover reduces on account of the ironing pressure and absorption of dust particles - this in turn reduces the performance of the ironing table.

→ The ironing table cover should be changed depending on the frequency of use (however, at least once a year).

The Ground Truth image displays a single, solid horizontal line. According to Rule 2 (UNDERSCORE & LINE RULES), this is a stylistic or background line, not a placeholder underscore. Therefore, the OCR result must ignore it and output nothing or only meaningful text. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of four underscores. This is an incorrect interpretation of the line as a fill-in-the-blank placeholder, violating the rule that stylistic lines must be ignored. The OCR has hallucinated underscores where none should exist based on the GT's visual context. Hence, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.

[Non-Text]

The Ground Truth image displays a single, continuous horizontal line, which is a stylistic or background element (like a ruled paper line). According to Rule 2, such lines must be ignored by the OCR result. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of underscores. Underscores are not equivalent to a solid line and are not permitted under the “Stylistic/Background Lines (Ignore)” rule. Outputting underscores for a stylistic line is incorrect because it misinterprets the line as a fill-in-the-blank placeholder. Therefore, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.

According to Rule 2, such lines must be ignored by the OCR result. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of underscores. Underscores are not equivalent to a solid line and are not permitted under the “Stylistic/Background Lines (Ignore)” rule. This is an incorrect interpretation of the line as a placeholder, violating the rule that stylistic lines must be ignored. The OCR has hallucinated placeholder underscores where none should exist in the GT. Hence, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.
