USER MANUAL 237670 Hendi

Dear Customer, Thank you for purchasing this Hendi appliance. Read this manual carefully, paying particular attention to the safety regulations outlined below, before installing and using this appliance for the first time. Safety regulations

  • This appliance is intended for commercial use only.
  • Only use the appliance for the intended purpose it was designed for as described in this manual.
  • The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by incorrect operation and improper use.
  • Keep the appliance and electrical plug away from water and other liquids. In the event the appliance falls into water, immediately remove the power plug from the socket. Do not use the appliance until it has been checked by a certified technician. Failure to follow these instructions will cause life threatening risks.
  • Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance by yourself.
  • Do not insert objects into the housing of the appliance.
  • Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.

  • Never use a damaged appliance! When it’s damaged, disconnect the appliance from the socket and contact the retailer.

An equipotential bonding terminal is provided at the rear side of the appliance to allow cross bonding with other equipment.

  • Do not place the appliance near objects that may be affected by a magnetic field TVs, radios, bank cards and credit cards.
  • Do not place the appliance on a heating object (gas, electric, charcoal cooker, etc.) Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Always operate the appliance on a level, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.
  • Make sure the appliance is not placed near water vapour or greasy vapours. The fan in

  • Do not wash the appliance with water. Washing can cause leakages and increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Do not clean or store the appliance unless it is completely cooled down.5
  • Do not place empty cookware on the appliance during operation as this may damage the cookware.

Preparations before using for the first time

  • Remove all protective packaging and wrapping.
  • Keep the packaging if you intend to store your ap- pliance in the future.
  • Check to make sure the appliance is undamaged. In case of incomplete delivery and damages. Please contact supplier (See --> Warranty).
  • Clean the appliance before use (See --> Cleaning and Maintenance).
  • Make sure the appliance is completely dry.
  • Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable and heat resist surface that is safe against water splashes.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Keep a minimum distance of 20 cm around the appli- ance.
  • Do not place the appliance in close proximity to devices which are sensitive to disturbances by magnetic sources (e.g. radios, tape decks). Note: Due to manufacturing residues, the appli- ance may emit a slight odor in the first few cycles. This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard. Make sure the appliance is well ventilated. Power supply line connection Attention: The power supply lines should be connected by authorized technician. Operation

  • Place a suitable cookware at the center of the heating surface of the appliance. (See -> Suitable cooking equipment) Note: Do not place empty cookware as this may damage the cookware.
  • Connect the internal wires of the power cord to a suitable electrical supply outlet. (See --> Power supply line connection)
  • Operation light stays off when the line indicator of the knob and“0” the panel are aligned. Power lev- el from 1-11 can be adjusted by turning clockwise and the green light on.
  • The appliance will shut down automatically if there is no operation detected after 4 hours.
  • Overheat protection is included for the appliance. The heating function will be terminated if the temperature of the pot or plate is too high, or the display light will flash. In this case, turn the knob anti-clockwise to “0” on the panel and wait for several minutes to cool down. The appliance will resume to normal operation again. Cleaning and Maintenance Attention: Always disconnect the appliance from the electrical power source and let it cool down completely before cleaning and storage. Cleaning
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Clean the cooled exterior surface with a slightly damp cloth or sponge with some mild soap solu- tion.
  • Never use abrasive sponges or detergents, steel wool or metallic utensils to clean the interior or exterior parts of the appliance. Storage
  • Before storage, always make sure the appliance has already been disconnected from the electri- cal outlet and cooled down completely.
  • Store the appliance in a cool, clean and dry place.
  • Never put heavy objects on the heating surface during storage as it may crack it.8

Troubleshooting If the appliance does not function properly, please check the below table for the solution. If you are still unable to solve the problem, please contact the service provider.
