How to connect the device to the mains?

Plug the AC power cord (1) into a 230V~50Hz wall outlet. Check that the rated voltage matches the local voltage.

How to turn on the FM radio?

Press [POWER] (2), set the function selector (5) to FM, then tune to the desired station with [TUNING +/-] (9). For better reception, orient the antenna (3).

How to use the turntable for the first time?

Unscrew the transport security screw (6) located on the top side of the turntable. Set the selector (5) to 'PHONO'. Place a record on the platter. Select the speed (33, 45 or 78 RPM) with the selector (8). Release the tonearm, remove the stylus cap, lift the tonearm with the lever (7) and place it at the beginning of the record. Gently lower the tonearm to start playback.

How to stop playback of a record?

Lift the tonearm using the lift lever (7) and return it to its rest. Do not turn the record manually.

Can I connect an MP3 player to the device?

Yes, set the function selector (5) to 'AUX'. Use a male-to-male 3.5mm jack cable (not supplied) to connect your device to the AUX-IN socket (4). Playback is controlled from the external device.

What to do if the device produces no sound?

The device automatically turns off after 10 minutes without audio signal. Check the selected source and volume. If the problem persists, contact a technician.

How to maintain the stylus?

Always put the protective cap back on when the device is not in use. Clean the stylus carefully if necessary. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers.

Can I repair the device myself?

• INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the radio is operated. The manual should be retained for future reference.
• HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
• WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near liquids or in rooms with a high level of humidity.
• VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation.
• HEAT - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or other appliances that produce heat.
• POWER SOURCE - The radio should be connected to power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
• POWER CORD PROTECTION - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon/against them.
• OBJECT AND LIQUID ENTRY - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.

- DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE

POWER SOURCES

AC POWER: You can power your portable stereo system by plugging the AC power cord (1) into a wall power outlet.

Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage.

TO USE THE RADIO

1. Press the [POWER] button (2) to turn ON the unit;
2. Select the desired audio source with the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (5);
3. (Please see detailed instructions for each Source in the following chapters);
4. Adjust the volume with the [VOLUME KNOB] (10) to the desired level;
5. Press and hold the [POWER] button (2) to turn OFF the unit.

Note: When no sound is produced, the unit will switch OFF automat. after 10 minutes.

FM RADIO OPERATION

1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (5) to "FM" mode;
2. Adjust radio frequency to your desired station by pressing the [TUNE +/-] (9).

Note: For a better reception move the wired antenna (3) around.

TURNTABLE OPERATION

Note: When using the turntable for the first time, unscrew the transport screw (6) located on the upper right side of the turntable.

1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (5) to "PHONO" mode;
2. Place a record on the turntable. Place the EP adapter over the central spindle when playing 45 rpm records;
3. Set the Speed Selector (8) to 33, 45 or 78 rpm according to the record;
4. Release the Tonearm Clamp, and remove the stylus protector;
5. Lift up the Tonearm with the Lift Lever (7);
6. Move the tonearm to the beginning of the record;
7. Lift down the Tonearm with the Lift Lever (7);
8. When the record is finished the tonearm will automatically return to the rest support and the plate will stop turning. To stop manually, lift up the tonearm from the record and return it to the rest support.

Note: Do not stop or turn the platter manually. Moving or jarring the turntable without securing the Tonearm clamp could result in damage to the Tonearm. Put the protective cap on the stylus when not in use.

AUX-IN OPERATION

1. Set the [FUNCTION SELECTOR] (5) to "AUX" mode;
2. Use one male to male 3.5mm jack cable (not included) to connect any external audio device to the AUX-IN socket (4);

Note: Music control (play, pause, etc) must be done from your external device.
