This seat cushion is intended for warming the human body in domestic environments. This seat cushion is not intended for use in hospitals or for commercial applications. In particular, it may not be used to warm infants, young children, helpless persons or those insensitive to heat, and no animals. Any usage other than that described above, or a modification of the seat cushion, is not permitted and may result in injury and/or damage to the seat cushion. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper application or usage. The user alone bears liability.

For the safe handling of the battery pack pay heed to the following safety instructions:

Do not throw the battery pack into a fire.
Do not short circuit the battery pack.
Regularly check the battery pack. Leaking battery acid can cause permanent damage to the appliance. Special caution should be shown when handling damaged or leaking batteries. Risk of acid burns! Wear protective gloves.
- Store the battery pack away from children.
- Remove the battery pack from the seat cushion if it will not be in use for some considerable time.

Read the instructions! Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of these operating and safety instructions.
Before use check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not put into operation an appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
To avoid possible risks, arrange for damaged cables or connectors to be exchanged by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service Department.
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiencies in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not operate the seat cushion unsupervised.
Repairs should be carried out only by authorised specialist companies or by the Customer Service Department. Incompetent repairs can result in significant risks for the user. In addition, warranty claims become void.
Defective components may only be replaced with original replacement parts. Only by using original replacement parts can it be guaranteed that the safety requirements are being complied with.
- Protect the seat cushion and the battery pack against moisture and the penetration of liquids. Never submerge the appliance in water or place any objects filled with liquid (e.g. vases) on the seat cushion.
Do not place any objects on the seat cushion.
Do not insert needles or other sharp pointed objects into the seat cushion.
Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of open flames (e.g. candles).
Avoid direct solar radiation.
Operate the appliance only with the supplied battery pack.
To charge the battery pack use only the supplied power adapter. The power adapter is designed for indoor use and may not be exposed to moisture.
- Disconnect the power adapter from the mains power socket by pulling on the adapter, not on the cable.
In the event of malfunctions and during thunderstorms disconnect the power adapter from the mains power socket.

NOTICE

  • Check the contents to ensure that everything is present and for signs of visible damage.
  • If the contents are not complete or are damaged due to defective packaging or through transportation contact the Service Hotline (see Service).

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

Before initial use

  • With initial use, for a brief period, a light odour accumulation can occur. This is normal and is completely harmless.

Charging the battery pack

The battery pack 5 is charged using the supplied power adapter.

For safe and faultless operation of the appliance after making the electrical connection, pay heed to the following advice:

TAKE NOTE

Before connecting the appliance compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your mains power supply. This data must tally so as to avoid damage to the appliance.
- Ensure that the mains power cable is undamaged and is not running over hot surfaces and/or sharp edges.
Ensure that the mains power cable is not overtaut or kinked.
Do not let the power cable hang over edges (trip wire effect).
If you do not intend to use the seat cushion for a long period, disconnect the battery pack 5 from the connector plug 3.

Insert the plug of the power adapter 9 into a mains power socket.
Ensure that the battery pack 5 is switched off (function indicator 8 is not lit up).
Connect the connector plug of the power adapter 10 with the connecting socket of the battery pack 6. The function indicator of the battery pack 8 blinks red and the battery pack 5 is now being charged. When the function indicator of the battery pack 8 glows green, the battery pack 5 is now fully charged.

NOTICE

Prior to initial use or after a prolonged period without use, the battery pack ⑤ must be charged for about 3 hours.

Handling and operation

In this chapter you receive important information for the handling and operation of the appliance.

Switching the seat cushion on/off / Selecting the temperature level

Disconnect the connector plug of the power adapter 10 from the battery pack 5.
Connect the connector plug of the seat cushion ③ into the connection socket ⑥ of the battery pack ⑤.
Place the battery pack 5 into the storage compartment 2 of the seat cushion.
Activate the function button 7 to switch the battery pack 5 on. The battery pack 5 switches on with the temperature level I. The function indicator of the battery pack 8 glows green.
By repeated pressing of the function button ⑦ the desired temperature level can be adjusted.
To switch the seat cushion off, repeatedly press the function button ⑦ until the function indicator ⑧ goes out.

Temperature levels

0 = OFF  
I = minimal heat (function indicator ⑧ glows green)  
II = medium heat (function indicator ⑧ glows orange)  
III = maximum heat (function indicator ⑧ glows red) 

NOTICE

To quickly heat it initially, it is recommended to select the temperature level III. You can switch it back later if a lower temperature level is needed.
- When the battery pack 5 is discharged, the function indicator 8 goes out and the seat cushion is no longer heated.

Cleaning

IMPORTANT

Possible damage to the appliance!

  • Protect the seat cushion ① and the battery pack ⑤ against moisture and the penetration of liquids.
    To avoid irreparable damage to the appliance, never submerse the seat cushion under water.

The seat cushion has a water-repellent fabric cover. Smaller stains can be removed with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
For heavier stains, the fabric cover can be removed and cleaned as per the cleaning symbols on the label:

The fabric cover is machine washable. Set the washing machine on a gentle wash cycle at 30^ .

Do not bleach. Also, do not use a detergent containing bleach.

Do not dry the fabric cover in a tumble dryer.

NOTICE

  • When replacing the seat cushion into the fabric cover, ensure that the storage compartment for the battery pack ② lies next to the zipper. Otherwise, the battery pack ⑤ can no longer be inserted and operated.

Storage

  • Disconnect the battery pack ⑤ from the seat cushion ① if you do not intend to use it for a long period.
    Store the seat cushion 1 in a dry location and without any weights on it.

Disposal

Disposal of the appliance

Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre. The battery pack must be disposed of properly and separately from the seat cushion.

NOTICE
