How to clean my Moulinex Super Uno AM3140 deep fryer?

The removable parts (lid, bowl, basket) can be washed in the dishwasher or with a sponge and water. The electrical unit must be cleaned separately with a damp sponge, never immersing it in water.

Can I use olive oil in my deep fryer?

Yes, but it is better to use oils that can withstand heat (frying temperature). Avoid unrefined oils. Follow the minimum and maximum oil quantities indicated.

How much oil should I put?

Pour the oil following the minimum and maximum level markings inside the bowl. Never operate the deep fryer empty.

Why is my deep fryer smoking?

Smoke can be due to too high a temperature (do not exceed 190 °C), burnt food residue in the oil, or oil that is too old. Filter the oil after each use and change it regularly.

Can I put frozen fries directly in the deep fryer?

Yes, but remove excess ice before plunging them into the oil to avoid water splashes. Do not overload the basket (maximum 1/2 basket per batch).

How to change the odor filter?

Depending on the model, the filter can be foam (to be changed every 10-15 uses), a cartridge with indicator (30-40 uses), or a carbon filter (80 uses). Some models have a permanent metal filter that does not need replacement.

My appliance no longer heats up, what should I do?

First check that the plug is connected and the cord is not damaged. If the problem persists, contact an Approved Service Center. Never disassemble the appliance yourself.

Can I leave the oil in the deep fryer after use?

• Never put solid fat directly into the deep fryer bowl or fryer basket as this will lead to deterioration of the appliance.
• Do not mix different types of oil. Never add water to the oil or fat.
• Do not overfill the basket, never exceed the maximum capacity.

- In the event of fire, never try to extinguish the flames with water. Close the lid. Unplug the appliance. Smother the flames with a damp cloth.

- It is essential that you wait until the oil has cooled down before storing the fryer.

- If you use solid vegetable fat, cut it into pieces and melt it over a slow heat in a separate pan beforehand, then slowly pour it into the deep fryer bowl.

- If you have a removable anti-odour filter, change it after every 10 - 15 uses (foam filter) or after 30 - 40 uses (cartridge with saturation indicator), or 80 uses (carbon filter). Some models are equipped with a permanent metallic filter, which does not need to be changed.

- Limit the cooking temperature to 170^ C , especially for potatoes.

- Use the basket for chips.

• Control the cooking: Do not eat burnt food.

- Clean your oil after every use to avoid burnt crumbs and change it regularly.

- Eat a balanced and varied diet which includes plenty of fruits and vegetables.

- Store your fresh potatoes in a room above 8°C.

- For best results and fast cooking, we recommend that you limit the quantity of chips to 1/2 basket per frying.

- For a larger quantity of food or potatoes, the temperature drops very fast just after having lowered the basket. This lowers the oil temperature considerably and it never reaches above 175°C, even if the thermostat is set at 190°C. (=Stabilized Temperature before lowering).

- Given that water and oil do not mix, this can lead to splashes that cause severe burns when the oil is heating, during the cooking cycle and after cooking.

These splashes are caused by too much water in the oil or fat.

To prevent water from getting into the deep fryer, please strictly observe the various rules of use and storage provided by the manufacturer, particularly regarding food, ingredients (fatty substances), regularly changing the oil, and maintaining the deep fryer and any accessories (oil pan).
