This manual includes guidelines on the operation of your device and the precautions to follow for your own safety. Ensure it is read carefully before first use and keep it handy for future reference. These instructions should be read and understood before anyone operates the product. Any modifications or maintenance that are not specified in the manual should not be undertaken. The manufacturer is not liable for any injury or damage due to non-compliance with the instruction manual. In case of problems or uncertainties, please consult a qualified person that is able to handle the device correctly. This device should only be used for power supply within the limits indicated on the device and in the manual. The safety instructions must be followed. In case of improper or unsafe use, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible
Device suitable for indoor use only. Do not expose to rain or excessive moisture.
Do not cover the device
Do not place the device near a fire or subject it to heat or to longterm temperatures exceeding 50°C
Do not obstruct the cooling vents. Refer to the installation section before operating the machine.
The automatic mode of operation and usage restrictions are explained below in these operating instructions.
Risk of explosion and fire!
A battery being charged can emit explosive gas.
- During the charge, the battery must be placed in a well ventilated area.
- Avoid flames and sparks. Do not smoke.
- Protect the electrical contacts of the battery against short-circuiting.
Acid projection hazard!
- Wear safety goggles and protective gloves
- If your eyes or skin come into contact with battery acid, rinse the affected part of the body with plenty of water and seek immediate medical assistance.
Connection:
- This device must be connected to an earthed power supply
Maintenance:
- Service should be performed by a qualified person.

DESCRIPTION
Convergys converts the input current from your 12V battery to a 230V output. It can be connected using:
• The car cigarette lighter ;
- Directly to the battery.
The CONVERGYS are fan-cooled
The maximum continuous power delivered is:
• CONVERGYS 300W = 300 Watts
SECURITY
- Before use, check that the product is compatible with your car cigarette lighter and if it delivers the necessary current to the device you want to plug in (300 W for the CONVERGYS 300W)
- Do not expose the inverter to: moisture, direct sunlight, high temperatures, or dust.
- Do not dismantle or modify the product.
- To prevent electrical shock, never touch an electrical device with wet hands.
• This product is not suitable for children. - If a malfunction occurs, stop using the inverter immediately and disconnect.
- Ensure adequate ventilation and do not obstruct the air inlets/outlets.
- Do not short-circuit the cables after the unit has come to a complete standstill, as this may damage the internal components. The energy stored during use remains stored.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The inverters are equipped with a thermal protection, electrical protection against polarity reversal and a protection against undervoltage and overvoltage.
The 300W model is equipped with a red warning light and a buzzer in case of malfunction (see TROUBLESHOOTING page 8).
ADVICE FOR USE
The CONVERGYS can be used whilst the engine is on or off. For heavy use, or use over a long period of time, you should start the engine to prevent discharge of the vehicle battery.
Do not start the car while the CONVERGYS is connected.
Some devices require high starting power that can exceed the power of the inverter; this can engage the overload protection which will cause the machine to switch off. When using multiple devices, ensure they are turned on one after another starting with the most powerful device.
COMPATIBILITY
Before use, you must check the compatibility of your device with the Convergys:
Compatible devices: (maximum 300 W) :
- Office equipment: computers, scanners, printers etc ...
• Digital products: mobile phones, video cameras, DVD players etc ... - Small devices: Flat screen TVs, fans, vacuum cleaners, irons etc ...
Non-compatible devices:
- The products exceeding the limit of the converter power: 300 W
- Products with high energy consumption: air conditioners, microwaves, high power electric drills, refrigerators etc...
Compatible devices with the USB port (5V - 2100 mA):
- USB port of Convergys is suitable to power compatible devices; it cannot be used to exchange data.
- Do not connect a device greater than 2100 mA as this may damage the USB port.
- Follow the manufacturer's recommendations if the device requires a specific charger.
OPERATION
300 W MODEL:
1) Choose desired connection:
- Directly onto battery: powers any device up to 300 W.
- Cigarette lighter: powers any device up to 150 W.
2) Connection:
Connect the red clip to the red «+» terminal of the converter and the black clip to the black «-» terminal of the converter; screw clips in place.
Caution: reversing the polarity may damage the converter.
3) Connect the converter:
- Wire: Connect the black clamp to the negative «-» terminal of the battery and then connect the red clamp to the positive «+» terminal of the battery
Caution: If the clamps are not connected securely there is a risk of low/no power, cable overheating, damage to the inverter supply, or fire.
- Cigarette lighter: Connect the cigarette lighter plug into the socket.
4) Switch the inverter ON (the green LED illuminates) and connect your equipment to the converter. (230V or USB 5V)
5) After use, unplug your equipment and then switch OFF the Convergys and disconnect it from the cigarette lighter or the battery.
TROUBLESHOOTING

NB: The USB socket should continue to operate.
WARRANTY
The warranty covers faulty workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase (parts and labour).
The warranty does not cover:
- Transit damage.
- Normal wear of parts (eg. : cables, clamps, etc..).
- Damages due to misuse (power supply error, dropping of equipment, disassembling).
- Environment related failures (pollution, rust, dust).
In case of failure, return the unit to your distributor together with:
- The proof of purchase (receipt etc ...)
- A description of the fault reported

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
* The PSW are supplied with a remote control to control the converter remotely (max 5 m). Its digital display also provides information on the battery status and W consumption of the connected electrical device.
